    Incredible Piece of Hardware

    I know some might say that it is simple, but I don't fault it for that. It does one thing and it does that thing extremely well: it raises the height of your MacBook screen up to eye level. I'm very picky when it comes to the things that I buy – I tend to return about half of my purchases. However the moment I took this stand out of the box, I knew that it was a quality product. It has a certain heft to it.

    I was also concerned that my cat, (an enormous Maine Coone), who loves to scratch it's chin on everything in the apartment, would make quick work of knocking over the stand, (and thus, my MacBook). I knew right away that this would not be the case, however. Even though the laptop hangs over the stand about an inch on either side, it is every bit as sturdy as if the laptop were sitting flat on the desk.

    If you have a MacBook, you want to raise up the screen about 6 inches, and sturdiness is your priority over adjustability, then this is definitely the stand for you.

    Solid Stand, You Forget It's There

    Bought this to hold my 15" MBP on my desk. It's a solid stand with design quality almost on par with that of Apple's ability to craft Aluminum. If you're considering this stand, you won't regret it; it gets the job done and isn't about to snap in half. No substantial wobbling either.

    If you need to store it, it doesn't fold or stack with anything, but you aren't buying it to put it in your closet.

    I purchased this stand during the Black Friday sale in 2011, and my 13" MBP has rarely been off of it since. It raises the screen to a perfect height on my table, and I'm still able to use the keyboard for typing, because it angles the keyboard down. Also, since it's made out of a single piece of aluminum, it doesn't bounce when you type on it.

    If you need variable height or convenience for travel, this isn't the stand for you. But if your stand is staying in one location most of the time, it's definitely worth the price.

    This stand is awesome.

    I bought this stand two weeks ago and I have put my Macbook pro on it. I can tell you that I no longer get tired using this laptop on my desk. At first I would have to look down and my neck would hurt after a few hours and know that its risen up a few inches, everything is in eye sight. I have bought the wireless keyboard and magic mouse with it as well and it is the perfect solution for my desk.

    I just bought this stand today and it is the BEST!..it completes my music editing set- up....way worth the price and it matches my 15" retina perfectly...Editing music is so much easier..no need to bend my neck all the time...no more neck pain and NO NEED TO SLOUCH.

    MUST BE USED WITH EXTERNAL KEYBOARD AND MOUSE...or else it will shake while you type...YOU WILL NEVER MISS YOUR DESKTOP.

    looks great and its function is even better!!!! I love it! perfect angle for fast and easy typing!! I am ordering one fopr my wife immediately!!! a must have for any Macbook or Mac pro user!!! well worth the money and looks awesome!!!! my portable superdrive and trackpad hide perfectly under my macpro now! love it.

    Long Lasting and Looks Good

    What more can you ask for a product than for it to be sturdy, good looking, and work with a multitude products?

    The mStand is a fantastic piece of hardware that I've been using for quite some time. I have loved it so much that I now recommend it daily to the thousands of users I support.

    I have yet to hear one negative thing about it. Why? It just works.

    Shaky and Jittery on stand-up desk

    I purchased this stand to raise by retina macbook pro to same height as my thunderbolt display on my Nextdesk Terra adjustable height desk. When typing on external keyboard either on desk or on keyboard tray, this stand vibrates excessively such that text is very jittery. I have returned this stand and will try one of the other recommendations.

    I bought this to go along with my 15inch retina macbook pro. It is really a great quality/ designed stand!!! Only complaint is that it a little wobbly when typing, but by far the BEST STAND out on the market if you want to type on it and use it everyday!!!

    Have used it for years with a 17" MBP

    Transforms the Macbook!

    I own the mStand 360, which is a new version of this stand with a swivel base, it's AMAZING! Before owning this, my neck would hurt from looking down at the computer screen, now the screen is at eye level and no longer hurts my neck. The area under the stand stores my keyboard to avoid cluttering up desk space. The rubberized feet avoid scratching on the bottom of my Macbook and desk. Finally the stand blends in with the aluminum of the Macbook. I definitely recommend this product to anyone thinking about buying it.

    You don't know you need this until you buy it!

    I've been using a TwelveSouth Bookarc to hold my MacBook Pro, then taking the MBP out of the Bookarc when I needed to use the MBP display along with my Thunderbolt display. The mStand makes this unnecessary; much as I love TwelveSouth products, this is what I should have bought from the beginning.

    The stand is heavy and well-made ... no sliding around, even when you slide the laptop on at an angle. It is big; it tends to 'swallow' my 11" MacBook Air. If you own a 13" Air or a 13" or 15" MacBook Pro, this is an indispensable accessory. Even if you're using your laptop without a display, the elevation you gain from the stand is worth the investment, providing you're also willing to spring for a bluetooth keyboard and trackpad or mouse.

    Quality Stand, Worth the Cost

    Very practical product. Bought this for college use, has worked as advertised/better than. Great design that can take a lot of heavy use. If you can afford the wireless keyboard and the mouse/ trackpad, I highly recommend it if you type a lot.

    I have owned the Rain Design mStand for all of 5 hours now and I already think that it is the most worthwhile purchase I have ever made for my Macbook! It brings my computer to the perfect height for ease of viewing and typing. Very impressed with this simple, functional product!

    A simple design, yet one of the greatest things you will ever use
    on a daily basis. A must buy if you spend a lot of time using
    your MacBook or even to just check emails. I have the 15" MacBook Pro
    & it works perfect even though it is "just a stand". I use the wireless
    Apple mouse along with the wireless Apple keyboard (completly bypass the MacBook's Trackpad & keyboard). I get the benefit of a desktop setup along with the ease of mobility.
