Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Disappointing
Written by AN

The game is good in terms of casting spells... its not as simple as pointing the wand like in past HP games, you actually have to do key sequences (which are simple to learn)
However, the game lacks the adventure. You cant really lose, cant be defeated (unless the plot needs you to). To make this clear: you have no health bar. It is no longer an adventure game then... all you have to do is find things and talk to people. In previous games, there are story plots, but you have challenges! you fight, win/lose! This game is not the adventure the others are.(25 of 37 people found this review useful)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Order of the Phoenix

Before the graphic update for leopards i thought the game was absolutely terrible. People's hair was in their mouths and at one point i had to stop playing cause the hallway i was in was too dark to see where i was going! But when the graphic update came out I was much more pleased. This game is somewhat addicting but can get tedious with all the tasks, yet still keeps me entertained. So it's a 4 cause it's not as great as i expected but helps pass time.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Great

This game is simple yet keeps you interested its a little addicting but it is fun. I have a mac book pro and it works great. I was a little worried about buying it after reading some of the other reviews on this site. However like any other game I read the requirements and made sure my computer had all the right stuff to make the game worth my time. I also found that you can change the quality so that it moves more quickly or the graphics are better. I also found that I could change the resolution of the game which also would help speed up the game a prevent freezing.

DO NOT BUY if you have a MacBook
Written by SN from fairfield

Mac books come with the GMA 950 video card, the one card the game specifically says it does not support. You will lag and glitche your way through this game, that is if it does not freeze entirely. So dont waste you time and money. It will just be frustrating and painful.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
up and down

ok, i'm as big a harry potter fan as the next person, so of course there's a great base love that i have for this game. but let's be honest, the graphics are terrible, and the controls and camera aren't any better. if you are a harry potter fanatic, you will love this game. if you are a gamer, you will loathe this game. if you are both, you will find yourself in a similar situation as myself.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
A Great Title
Written by SE from Centerville

In the past, fans have been disappointed by the Harry Potter games. They have only passed off as fun but forgttable. However, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is quite a wothy game. It is family friendly, and can be fun for all ages. This game has good performance on the mac, and is by far the best potter game to date. Do not hesitate any longer if you want to immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter. I recommend you purchase this product.

Parents Will Love It, Gamers, Not So Much
Written by BD from Brooklyn

Parents, don't you wish your kids could learn to clean up after themselves a little more than they do? Well, welcome to Hogwarts gaming, where you dust objects in the trophy room, mop the floors, straighten pictures, and shake out rugs in the hallways of the castle, sweep leaves in the courtyards, fix furniture, arrange and neaten rooms, and do various other domestic chores around the magical houses of Grimmauld Place and Hogwarts.
Now, gamers: does this sound like an exciting, engaging game to you? Um, yeah, I didn't think so...
So: Moms and Dads, rejoice: this is your kind of game. Gamers: keep your money in your pocket. This is a pretty, visually and musically appealing universe for a game, that is sadly infested with lameness throughout. For graphics and soundtrack, this is probably the best of the HP series; for gaming quality and interest, it is probably the worst. So far, the second game (Chamber of Secrets) remains the best gaming experience of the HP series, but no one has really developed anything to do the stories justice yet.(59 of 128 people found this review useful)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Awesome!

The game plays great! I enjoyed every moment of stealing my sister's laptop to play only this game... The new graphics engine worked superbly and there were no hitches while discovering Hogwarts. Dueling is a little difficult, but overall it deserves every one of the five stars. A must have for a Potter fan, die-hard or not.
