    Digital VIDEO interface

You will not get audio out of this, hence the definition of DVI. Read throughly before you buy. 5 stars here!

    No Audio?

Duh, DVI doesn't carry audio, only HDMI does.
You would have to have HDMI to HDMI for the video and audio. DVI just carries the same picture quality as HDMI but no audio.

    NO AUDIO!!!!!! disappointing.

Hmmm pretty disappointing no audio!!!! thats why i brought this cable for the audio to the TV without using AV cables like i am now to my surround sound and the DVI to HDMI BELKIN CABLE to my TV,,,

well it is a great picture and does the job but just no audio what was a let down, but i only give this 2 stars because the cable is to short and there was no audio. The BELKIN Cable is 12 ft so it's great for working on from a long ways from the TV and also it has the same HDMI as the XtrememHD,

For people who want to hook they macs, macbooks, macbook pros, up to your TV buy the BELKIN CABLE 12 ft, and for audio just get AV cables with a headphone jack on it, these cables are the white and red audio cables. I use the Logic 3 from the headphone jack for my sound and it comes out great on my surround sound.

    Good product but connection varies.

I am using this product to connect my Macbook with a MiniPort to DVI and then another DVI to HDMi cable to my 50'' Samsung TV. It works great whenever I can finally get the TV to recognize the signal. I had to keep pressing the cord in and holding it manually and then it disconnect with I let me hand go. Overall this product is great, however, I may have been sent a malfunctioning cable.

got mine today plugged one end into my powerbook g4 the other end to the hdmi on my 40" lcd tv clicked the remote over to the hdmi using and there you go!!!! outstanding quality of my pictures and anything else on the tv. very impressed simple and inexpensive. don't bother looking in the stores for this cable just get it here can't find it anywhere plus online its selling for more than apple charges with a lesser quality cable. in addition, the cable looks very smart with my laptop.

i purchased this cable to connect my macbook pro to my hdtv. it works great! i've used it to watch movies, do slideshow presentations and show friends my pictures from vacations. the video quality is great. the only downside is that it does not transfer sound, only video, so i bought a sound cable that goes from the headphone jack and connects to a surround sound system for when im playing movies or music. great quality for great price!

    FATTY!

Written by CW from white plains

I've got a Mac Pro with an 8800GT video card. If you plan on using more than one display with your mac pro, do NOT buy this cable! The plastic casing around the DVI end is too wide. I can't fit a regular sized DVI cable on the second port, let alone another one of these fatties. With any other mac, you should be fine, but this does not suit my needs at all and was a waste of (already too much) money.

    Great Product, do your RESEARCH!!

I purchased this product and have been very thrilled with it. I have a Macbook, and wanted to use it instead of buying a AppleTV. To do so I had to purchase a DVI to mini-DVI in addition to this cable. Both products work great, however, I would have liked to have seen a larger cable instead of the 6'. After you have the cable installed, calibrate your screen by:
    System Preferences
    ----->Displays

The computer recognized my TV, however some TV's may not.

After you have set your computer, you may need to adjust your screen on your TV. If you have a newer TV, the TV has options for "PC" inputs that will allow you to take advantage of your whole screen.

In conclusion, the picture is AMAZING, smooth, crisp, no spots, and the same as your screen possibly better. Now on to renting movies from ITUNES!!

    Reasonable price

Definitely a worth while purchase if you have a HD-TV with HDMI inputs and would like to use it with your mac mini (or other apple/pc product) to play games, watch mpegs, enjoy iTunes rentals, or what ever you please.

Best yet - its quite reasonable when compared with the stock at a local Best Buy or Circuit City (read - expensive Monster cable at ~$50).
