One of the best games ever it works perfectly on my macbook, with no bugs or anything. Before i bought the game i made sure that my system was up to date, and I had everything needed in order to run the program.
Great choice in games.

Typical PC port

I have been playing this game for about 1 year now. It started out with lots of bugs and crashes, but the update patch and tweaking my graphics settings finally got it working reliably. However, the UI is a typical PC port that wants to rewrite everything MacOS already provides. In addition, it is incredibly slow to do anything such as loading a course, looking at highlight replays, switching out equipment, or even getting back to
the main UI screen. I usually click to start a new round and then go away for a while to do something else while it loads. Once you get into a round of golf things move quite well, but it is very frustrating to click on a "Back" button and have to wait 5 minutes for it to respond. I would recommend this to golf fans, but don't pay over $30 for it.

Was nervous in buying it but then i did. Good choice was made by me. This game gives me two scoops. And not just one. I would love Tiger. Buy this game now. You would like to love Tiger too. Peace. Love. Good Merchandice.

Freezes constantly

The game freezes without fail after 5-10 minutes and the only way regain the use of my MacBook Pro is to hold down the power button until it switches off. Electronic Arts haven't offered any fixes for this problem in the last year, so I would have to say avoid at all costs, unfortunately. Madden NFL '08 uses the same technology, so it may suffer the same problems too.

I play this game on my MacBook Pro 17" 2.4 ghz with 2 ghz of RAM and it works just fine, minor problem with lettering when changing clubs, but other than that I play it all the time.

It used to work and was great. Now it black screens every time

I have a brand new mac book pro and the game worked fine for a week and now it black screens once I am playing a course. Was great when I got it, now a pain and frustrating. Sorry to say......."keep your money"

Awesome game if you have the right hardware

I was very skeptical to get this game due to all of the bad reviews. I ended up getting this game off ebay for $20. It is a challenging and fun game. It is comparable to the playstation version but not as many features. I use a wireless mouse which took me awhile to get used to the "Trueswing" mode but I really enjoy playing this game. I am running it on a Macbook Pro, Leopard with 2gb ram and NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT. There are some minor glitches with the game but nothing major at all. This is THE golf game for your mac!!

Don't waste your money

I play or at least try to play the game. it constantly freezes up and have to keep restarting computer. It's a known problem with EA Sports and no fix or patch coming out soon. Again, don't waste your money. If the game worked it would b great.

This is just a mini-review. First of all, my setup is a 24" iMac , 2.8Ghz , 4 Gigs of Ram, running 10.5.5 with ATI,RadeonHD2600 video card.

At first, the game ran sluggish, but keep in mind that this is a Ciderized game. I eventually did a complete Clean Install of my system and now the game runs fine.

The graphics look good, although, it is not cutting edge. The Con would be that it does take a little while to load up.

I have played hundreds of 18 hole matches using this game. The positive is that the game works well once it is loaded up and the graphics look realistic. You have to judge distance and the wind to be able to place the ball correctly. One can eventually become good enough to be able to win most games so you get lots of positive reinforcement.
The negative is that it seems to take an incredible amount of time to get from the first load up when one starts the game to where one can begin to play. I have also used the xbox game, and it seems to load up faster. The positives out weigh the negative for me.

Zero Stars! Won't Even Start! Don't Waste Your Time or Money!

Brand New Mac Pro with Dual Quad-Core Processors. CHECK!
NVIDIA 880 GT Video Card with 512 MB. CHECK!
Spent $40 on this game based on the fact that I had the hardware requirements covered (at least twice over!) CHECK!

I get a message stating that my video card is unsupported and may cause some anomalies. Then it closes!!!!

It's pretty sad that Apple, a company that exerts such control over everything that has anything to do with its products, allows mainstream developers to put out products that are so shoddy. Even worse, Apple touts these programs on it's own Apple Store!

Now I'm out $40, EA stopped caring about this program at the end of 2007, and I'm stuck once again having to buy PC versions of the games I'd like to play on my Mac.

Stay Away from This Game!

Reading through the reviews, I was not sure if I wanted to take a risk and spend money on a game that seemed to have trouble for everyone. I finally wanted the game bad enough and just took a chance. I am glad that I bought the game! I have had no problems at all with the game! I have a new 15 inch MacBook Pro with 2 GB of RAM and 200 GB hard drive.
If you want a great golf game, this is the one to buy. The only way that you can find out if this is the game you want is to try it. I took the risk and have no regrets.

GREAT GAME!!!!

The Mac store Lied! The Game is BAD

I do not buy many Pc games due to the control set-up. I rather have a controller in hand then a lame mouse. So when I went to the near by Mac store and spent an hour talking to two people about which games used what controllers I walked out feeling that I finally got it right. Only to get home and find the controller does not work like they had said. The only reason I got the game was because I was told the controller would work with it. Tiger Woods 2008 for the PC likes like nothing like the Ps3 or X-box games, in fact the PS2 looks better than Pc 2008. I only give it one star, not because of the controller problem but also for the fact that the game is no where near what it should have been.

I Installed this on my Macbook Pro 2.2GHz 2GB RAM. It didn't work. I'm running Leopard 10.5.3. I was expecting more from EA games.

Not sure what all the fuss is about this game in other reviews. I have had absolutely no problems running on the latest iMac 3.06 with the NVIDIA 8800. Running at 1600x1200 without a hitch. Works great. Excellent graphics. I wish all the great windows games were ported over to the mac! Thanks to EA Sports for this title for OSX!!

Works great on my MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w/2 GB memory. I'm running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2. I was afraid to try it for a long time due to all the negative reviews. Finally the dude at the Apple store assured me that my system would work fine since I purchased it within the last year. I'm very happy I took the chance.

I find it amazing that EA and Apple would let a product out that is this BAD... These games are not free(over $40) and then we get no support... EA has only one guy working on Mac's and Apple says contact the vendor... I hope this issue that MOST people are complaining about will get addressed soon... I have a MacPro 2.66 with a RadeonX1900 (512 VRAM) and 2GB RAM and still it will not fire up(even after the patch)... my video card is not compatible??? maybe i am just crazy to expect this to work... anyone want to buy a good used game that may or may not work on your Mac??? ThanX Apple for ripping us off...

Works great with my 2.33 GHz MacBook Pro 15" with 2 GB. Great game play and graphics are outstanding. Would recommend this game to any golf enthusiast. This was my first game that I purchased for my new Mac and I'm totally thrilled playing it, now I just need to get away from my computer long enough so that I can get back to the real golf course.
