This game is really good except that kicking or punting the ball in this game is impossible. I play with an xbox controller and the controller are very different from any other console.

This game runs good on my new mac book. I haven't tried it online yet. I think
the graphics could be better. Other than that have had no troubles with the game.
Has worked great so far. Fingers crossed

This will be the LAST EVER release of Madden for Mac, PC or laptop, with Madden '09 they are going all console, all the time. That said, it plays great on my MacBook Pro 17", widescreen looks great, and got the Logitech controller, since keyboard play is impossible, quite frankly. I play the game a lot both solo and online. I'm terrible at it, and not getting much better, but that's because I'm an old duffer with not a lot of spare time at the moment to work on my skillz. Still it's an addictive game, and this version will be the end of the road, which is ironic, since with this title the Mac finally became competitive in the games arena with Windoze.

No Problems Here

I read a lot of reviews about the problems running this game, but my Macbook Pro (17" 2.33 GHz Intel Duo) hasnt had any problems with menus or game play, although I haven't been able to get registered with EA, which I think is a problem with my internet, not the game. I cant speak to Leopard problems however, as I am running Tiger, 10.4.11 to be exact.

I love Apple's products, so when i wanted to buy a computer game for my birthday, I turned right to Apple. The game arrived within 5 days and i put it in my computer. I double-clicked the game icon and the full-screen game came on. The mouse disappeared and i had no control over the game. It wasn't very fun

Online Issues

I was excited about finally being able to play with my friends online, however, when I connected to the EA site, it said that feature was not compatible with the version of the software I had.

Great. Then why do you advertise that you can do it?

Also, it takes forever to memorize all the different commands and combinations of buttons to push. Maybe if you have no life, and have endless amounts of time to play video games (i.e. you are a nerd) it isn't an issue.

However, for the rest of us who have actually kissed a girl, it is a problem.

If Macs are so great and powerful, why are they still so far beind when it comes to gaming?

i dont know what you guys are talking about but i just got my new imac with the 24 inch screen and got madden and it ran just fine i downloaded a driver so that i can use my xbox360 controller and it played about as good as i hoped it would i mean no its not gonna have the graphics of a console but the game play was good plays are in tact im satisfied.

this game is one of the best in the world!!!!!! Making a playER is awesome and hall of fame rookie with patrick willis is the bomb!!!!
to all u FOOLS THAT SAID THIS GAME STINKS AND DOESN'T WORK BECAUSE THE WORDS R MESSED. THERE IS AN ONLINE PATCH THAT FIXES IT IF U SEARCH FOR IT.

So I am wondering why Apple sells this product when it doesn't even work on the new iMac's. I bought a mid-level 20 inch iMac and then bought this game and the menu's are all distorted and the game is just unplayable just like everyone else is commenting about. Is there any patch or anything at all that I can use to get rid of this problem?

Ridiculous that Apple would do this to us and not give us any way to alleviate the situation!

A little bit buggy on my mbp, with the occasional freez or crash. But overall great game play. Looks good and supports logictech controllers. Two player is fantastic. thanks ea

This game does not work on a brand new imac 24" 2 G Ram. Why does apple sell something like this in their store? Does their reputation not mean anything to them? Is this just another leopard issue?

Beware - this product does NOT work with the integrated graphic controller in the MacBook. It simply won't work. Don't make this mistake.

Outstanding game...

Installed this game on my new aluminum iMac (24 in. 2.4 ghz)with leopard and it is fantastic. The graphics were a bit screwy and the menus inoperable before downloading the EA patch, but after installing the patch I am most impressed. The game was great, and it wasnt until yesterday that I realized I had it set to the lowest resolution. When I switched the settings, I was blown away. Not sure why people are experiencing problems with newer Mac models, but I would reccomend to anyone with an Intel Mac.

This game seems like it's determined not to run on any computer. I've installed it on an iMac from 2006, and the computer said that it was not supported on the architechture. So I tried it on a recent MacBook, and the game launched, but the home menu was nonresponsive, and the menus were jumbled. Later, I installed it on a new iMac with Tiger, and the installation went smoothly. But when I tried to launch the game, it kept saying it couldn't find the correct DVD. This game is good, but on a Mac, it's absolutely ridiculous
