I tried to like it, BUT I can't

It is soooo irritating! With the cushion, your wrists are in a terrible position; with any prolonged typing etc., you'll end up in pain and have to remove it. This solves one problem only to create another. There is noooo ledge to keep your laptop from sliding off the stand. I'm not exaggerating! If you leave the room with your laptop on its iLap stand, you better hope its not at the edge of the table or it WILL slide off and crash to the floor. Furthermore, when your typing, your laptop ends up only half on the stand and the rest in your lap. It just WILL NOT stay put. If Rain added a u shaped ledge, for the feet of the macbook to sit in, all would be well...But as is, the product is NO BUENO!

    Worthless and overpriced

I found this to be worthless because my laptop still gets overheated and $50 for a cheap piece of metal? I got a Belkin laptop cooler with a USB fan that actually works and works a lot better for only $15.

    Product of poor quality

I do like the design very much, but it is uncomfortable when placed on my lap and the cushions are very cheap and so is the back swivel. For $50 I wish I would have seen this before I purchased it because I would have just gotten the CushTop from Belkin, which is much better, but obviously different in style. If I could recommend some changes on the iLap, I would at least put that tempur pedic memory stuff for the cushions and a higher quality swivel. I would not recommend this product to anyone, until some improvements are made.

    Cheap and unstable

I have been looking for a lap support for my laptop for quite some time. A friend of mine was kind enough to give me a 50$ gif card which I decided to spend an the ilap.
The thing is cheaply made, just a few piece of aluminum bended an put together. The foam parts are made of poor quality and the way the front one is attached makes it all unstable.

    Useless Accessory

    • Written by from hoboken

I bought this in order to raise my notebook so it can be more visible when its on my desk. This thing only raises it about 2-3 inches which is absolutely useless. The padding makes it more convenient for the laptop to be placed on ones lap but that was the only good thing I found came out of it. New laptop stands by Griffin is much better.
