Easy to use, with Insanely GREAT results!

The Print Shop version 2 is an excellent program. If you like the ease of use of Apple's iPhoto, iTunes, iCal... then you're sure to like this application as well. Even though the Print Shop is not an Apple-written program, it is a very well written program... very intuitive to use, and very well integrated with the other "i" apps that are a part of Apple's iLife suite. PLUS, the Print Shop is now a "Universal" program (will run natively on both PowerPC and the newest Intel-based Macs (free universal update to version 2.0.2). This is a GREAT program for a new or legacy Mac user! I would buy it for my own mother =')

Love it

Love this easy to use program. I needed new business cards in a hurry and was able to whip them out in a few minutes. Nice graphics with lots of choices helped too. The ability to save the artwork/graphics to my HD rather than have to find and use the CD every time is also another great feature. I use this inexpensive program alot for various projects- signs, cards etc and really like the features of this program.

This product is hands down the best product of it's kind in the world. Others try - PS2 Does. No matter what you need, Disc Lables, Invitations, Ad Art, etc., etc. there are plenty of graphics, artwork and designs provided to get you something great in minutes and the graphic and the easy to use test and graphic tools rival that of high end graphic design products. If you are reading this, stop here and just buy it...!!! (PS - even has a template to print Epson "Direct on Disc" and hits the mark every time.)

DOES work with leopard!

I wrote a 1 star review that this doesn't work with leopard, but it DOES. sorry. The installer won't work if you have a small application called 'magical' running, so kill ALL applications before installing (even itty bitty ones in your menu bar). the leopard upgrade from mackiev's website installed flawlessly too.

Got this for my mother-in-law, she loves it, makes much better things that she did with print shop pro on her pc. Great stuff!

I'm a Mac convert and was afraid I wouldn't be able to scrapebook, do greeting cards, newsletters, envelopes or labels, my way. I like to add my own touches and Print Shop for Mac 2.0 gives me the freedom to express myself. I Love all the iprograms... they are so easy to use and Print Shop is the frosting, it works great with iphoto to incorporate photos in projects in less time than it takes to read the instructions. Great product and with the free upgrades and free new templates downloads, I feel like a pro!

The program got worse with the Snow Leopard Upgrade

The Print Shop for Mac was never a competitor for its Windows counterpart. But if you upgrade to Snow Leopard you better have a lot of patience. With the new OS the program becomes very slow, taking up to three minutes to load a project, even if you download the update they now have. I have had to go back to my old PC for my PS projects.

A total waste of $70 bucks! Pathetic clip art and absolutely horrible non intuitive interface. All I wanted and expected was a simple easy application to do quick cards, signs or maybe some calendars but ended frustrated and completely disappointed. Don't waste your money

Waste of money

I reconnected with my mac roots after many years on the PC Dark side and wanted to replace my PrintMaster software with something Mac compatible. I just need a quick and easy Graphics and Publishing package for school flyers and kids cards.

This is not that software.

The clip art is terrible and the app has half the features of PrintMaster. After much research there is no Mac compatible product. May be booting up the PC just for PrintMaster. : (

I love the Print Shop, but for mac there are not nearly enough graphics. It is a much more condensed version than for pc's with windows.

Waste of $70

I purchased this product to produce a multi-page yearly calendar. One I've produced with the less expensive Print Master on my Windows machine, to my disappointment I CANNOT! It seems you have to save 12 separate months to make up a year. If you add a month to a calendar project the pics from previous months come along. Poor Design!!

Look Elsewhere for Clip Art

Wow! I'm really disappointed and unhappy with this program. I bought this program because I needed clip art and was tired of searching around on the Internet for pictures--but this program is terrible for clip art. The photographs are all VERY dated and look like they were taken in 1990--I'm talking big overly teased hair, high wasted tapered jeans with baggy sweaters and ridiculously large glasses. For a $70 dollar purchase, the quality of the photos are completely UNACCEPTABLE! Go buy MS Office with Publisher--at least you'd get thousands of great clip art and photographs from their website.

Very intuitive, well written and wisely organized program. It is pleasure to use. It works perfectly with my OKI color laser and they two made one amazing little print-house. It deserves seven stars.

Horrible Product

I am by no means a design guru and still found this program lacking in some of the more critical areas. I purchased this for the sole purpose of custom greeting cards and letterhead templates. I instantly found that I had very little control over my color options for text and an inability to change the border colors. Good only for cookie cutter projects. Do not bye if you are looking for custom design options. This item would be better priced at $29.99. Two thumbs down. Shame on you Mackiev!

Nothing But Disappointed!

I've been a Print Shop user since they came out with this back in the 80's, and I really needed something for my new Mac that would give me the opportunity to print my own greeting cards and CD/DVD labels and covers. All I can say is I'm sorry I spent 60 bucks for this program. The lack of labels support is pathetic! Other then that, it works, but good luck on finding labels, etc that will work with this. I hope that t hey will add the Neato Slim Line DVD case inserts soon. (yea, right)!

Received it extremely fast, (2 days from ordering it). Smooth installation and was very pleased to see it has universal binaries too. Nice program from what I can tell so far and from what I researched this is the best card program for OS X. It does much more than just cards. If you have an Epson or Cannon printer with print on DVD/CD capability this program supports it.

On a PC I used Print Artist Platinum and then Print Master Platinum. My expectation when I bought my Mac was that I would find an even better program if not comparable. I love my past graphics programs and have spent countless hours creating, I am embarrassed thatI have purchased and I Mac and a Macbook Pro and I have to return home to my PC to get any graphic work done because there is no comparable program for Mac - "The Graphics Masters". I am almost certain that saw a Print Master for Mac last year but have not been able to track it down. Just a dream?
