i like it!

i own a black macbook, so i was concerned with the reviews i had read about this thing leaving behind the adhesive and staining yellow. after about a week or so of constant use, i lifted it back up and i didnt notice anything: no sticky residue left behind or stains. i'm guessing if your willing to spend the money and take a CHANCE OF having sticky stuff and a yellow macbook, then it's worth it.

Leaves stuck on glue and stains
Written by MA from San Antonio

I bought this as soon as I bought my macbook to avoid the stains that I had begun to see. As I was going to rate this product I ran across some bacd reviews stating that the product had left stains. I lifted up my own marware protection to find that the glue, or adhesive had become stuck on to my computer, and had also left a yellow tint.

Good

This product makes it way more comfortable for constant use on the palm rest areas and the screen cleaner is great! I always have finger-prints from my little sister, but I do think the Marware logo kinda ruins the mac look...the color difference doesnt really bother me.

$20 for a screen cleaner.

The only good this about this product is the wipe they include to clean your macbook's screen. The palmrest protector constantly peels upwards, refusing to stick. While it's up, dirt collects underneath the adhesive is further compromised. Not worth the money!

Great protection for the MacBook.

I just bought this little kit for my MacBook and it works quite well!
Great way to avoid the nasty polished look they have when you regularly use your laptop on the wrist area.
It's got an egg white colour which is bit off putting at first but then again it does make the MacBook look whiter. The padding is nice and soft and is smooth enough that it won't cause problems for fast typers such as myself.
Some people have complaints about the Marware logo and I have to agree that it is a bit big but once you get over that you don't notice it too much. As well, the bubbling that some have also complained about I haven't noticed it as much. As long as you put some heavy books on top of the kit BEFORE you put it on your laptop helps.9 of 10 people found this useful

you would think that this is really cool cause it is but the sticky part seems to always peel up and of the only good thing about it is the screen wiper witch then again should not cost 20$.

I love it

I love this product! I think it's great and does exactly what I want it to do. some people say the cloth doesnt cover all the keys, but mine covers it just fine. What's great about the cloth is that it feels durable and thick (but not so thick that it resricts closing) and really stays put. Great for wiping my boyfriend's finger prints off the screen. And I love the stickie protector. It totally sticks on with ease and can easily be removed and leaves absolutely no residue. The surface of the stickie protector thing feels very soft and smooth and aside from the logo I think it looks great! Definitely recommended!

Good from a completely opinionated standpoint

Personally, I find this to make an excellent addition to the macbooks surface. I bought mine because of an acetone spill on my macbooks palmrests which resulted in the affected areas becoming very smooth and shiny. This was somewhat uncomfortable and a little unsightly. I saw this product as a nifty cover-up for the incident, and behold it does the trick fantastically. It stays adhered very well, heat from the macbook is no issue since the firmware updates were issued to keep temperatures down. The sticker stays firmly in place. Placing it properly and straight can take a few attempts, but it does add a wonderful accent to the massive trackpad the macbook has. This thing feels great too, somewhat leathery [though it's actually a woven nylon material.] It looks resistant to staining but prone to absorbing spills. Logo is unnecessary but its not like you can feel it, so I'm not bothered much.
Keyboard cloth is high quality microfiber and pretty nice to have as a wipe. Price is .. acceptable.7 of 8 people found this useful

Does the job and if you have problems with creases and such just put a heavy book on top of it for about 8 hours and that should flatten it out. That is what I did with mine and I have NO creases in it and it looks really cool too! I wish it was cheaper though..

too expensive for the quality
Written by JH from Jamaica Plain

I wanted protection for my white MacBook, especially the glossy screen. While I haven't had any problems with the sticky part (what can I say, it sticks)...the cloth cover for the keys is actually too small. It doesn't cover the keys completely, and as a result, the seam of the cloth jambs between the keys and the screen, leaving an imprint on the screen!
For $25, you'd think they would take the time to actually construct this thing to the correct dimensions....so much for quality...9 of 12 people found this useful

I just bought this protection kit for my white 13" Macbook. My husband also has the black one for his BlackBook. It fits perfectly over the hand rest and was really easy to put on. I like the slight contrast in color, I think it looks awesome! The dusting cloth/keyboard cover is great too. It cushions the screen from the keys when the computer is closed. Overall, I think its definitely worth the $20.

Okay, But not great

Its a great idea, and nice on the hands, but it has some downfalls.
It is not a true white like the keypad and inside panel, its more of an eggshell white. Like state before, the Marware Logo is a little excessive. Its a good idea, but i dont think 20 dollars is the proper price for a sticky foam pad.11 of 14 people found this useful

flawed product for inherent problem
Written by SC from Kelseyville

I could do without the Marware logo, the size of three keyboard keyes in the upper-left corner, and like someone else noted, the thing doesn't stay stucked to the keyboard, because of the heat. It keeps peeling up on the right side. But you need something; the white Macbook stains easily. If only the black model weren't a couple hundred dollars more. Speaking of price, $20 for something that costs the manufacturer maybe fifty cents -- that's the definition of gouging, and reason enough to drop the rating from three stars to one.

Recently purchased the Marware Protection Pack and love how it protects my MacBook. The removable covering is soft, blends with the color of the laptop, but most importantly keeps my computer clean -- especially since I have the white model. The keyboard chamois keeps dirty and oil from getting on my screen when I close the laptop. It also does a decent job of cleaning my screen when I don't have my iKlear wipes with me.

But with Pacific breezes and humidity in Hawaii...new protection pack does what I bought it to do. Just in time for the last days of summer! Great protection and easy to attach. The beach has been calling. My MacBook travels everywhere. Sun and shade "Marware" does the job. Handrest went on smoothly, no wrinkles (read concern in an earlier comment) and wipes up (sunscreen lotion) no problem. The Keyboard cover is great. I've spent $20.00 on many other items that didn't do its job at all. Light, clean & PROTECTIVE.

This is a totall waste of 20 bucks. I bought it for my Black Macbook it has a huge MARWARE Logo and it does not stay stuck to the surface of the machine due to the heat. Good Idea, poor execution.

Totally Helps with Rough Edge

Just put this on my new MacBook and love it! The feel is great and the adhesive really makes it removeable. Only thing I would say is that the way it's packaged causes it to have some bends and creases in the wrist protector. Other than that, it's great and really works well.
