Fable: The Lost Chapters
Buy This Game!

I love this game and can't stop playing. I played it on the original XBox, but the comp version has a lot of added extras to it. New characters, new quests, a few new items and clothes, and an extended story with extra levels and a new final boss. The controls transfer well once you get used to them. If you haven't played Fable on XBox, you are in for a real treat. This game is in the stylings of Zelda, but you can choose how good or evil your character is and that effects certain outcomes in the game or certain items or actions you can and cannot get or do. You have a multitude of weapons and spells to choose from. Be a mage, a warrior, a archer, a dark wizard, or many other combinations of character types. Your actions effect your appearance and how others react to you. Tons of fun, long game-play, many levels and enemies, many side quests, and you will play it over and over again to play as alternate character-types with varying storylines.

Great game!

This worked perfectly on my new macbook pro (2.4ghz intel) at the highest resolution& color setting. The graphics are stunning. I loved playing this game choosing between good and evil, but also liked being able to customize my character perfectly for my playing style. I definitely recommend this game to anyone!
I only noticed one glitch: when you chose your clothes in the Inventory screen where you cant see your hair.

Fable: The Lost Chapters
This was an amazing game

If you like any type of magic, Archery, or warrior games this is the one for you. The instant crash review baffles me. He/she either got a defective copy or the computer wasn't up to date. The game does not work well with anything below 2.0 GHz. I played on a 2.4 computer with the previous operating system, runs great. I strongly recommend this game. One piece of advise though, save as often as possible.

Review update - Game now works on my Macbook Pro
Written by BC from Salt Lake City
Mar 17, 2009
On Mar 2, 2009. I wrote that this game didn't work on my Macbook Pro and also didn't work on my wife's newer Macbook Pro. Apparently we had a bad game disc. My wife contacted the game maker. They asked her to try the usual troubleshooting ideas (i.e. reboot, re-set pram, etc.). When troubleshooting didn't work, they figured out we must have a bad game disc. They burned a disc with just the game application on it and shipped it to us. The new disc arrived yesterday (2 weeks after initial purchase) and now the game works fine on both of our Macbook Pro machines.
I've played the game now for about 4 hours and enjoyed it. The game did crash once and i lost about 30 min. progress because it doesn't save very often. I plan to play it more. I'm enjoying the fun personalities of the non-player characters and having fun deciding whether to make "good" or "evil" decisions.27 of 46 people found this useful

Fable: The Lost Chapters
instant crash
Written by AB from Blacksburg
Dec 20, 2008
This game instantly crashed when I first tried to play it. After reinstalling, rebooting, lowering video settings and everything else I could think of it still would not work. I'm seeing problems like this all over other forums online. It may be a great game, and they might get it working after they respond to my support email, but it's absurd that this should happen on a game that's been out for a while on a MacBook Pro that definitely exceeds the system requirements. Buyer beware.

So far it hasn't worked...

I bought the game yesterday and every time I tried to install it on my brand new MacBook, the game stopped at 4.03GB into the installation and said that it couldn't be installed because ScriptDialouge2.lut could not be read or written. Im just installing it on my dad's iMac and it has gotten passed 4.03GB and is looking good...

Game Does Not Work on Macbook Pro
Written by BC from Salt Lake City
Mar 2, 2009
Please don't waste your money. This game simply does not work on Macbook Pro. My wife and I have two different Intel Macbood Pro machines and this game is non-functional. I can't believe the Apple Store sells this worthless piece of garbage! This game freezes while trying to load the first minute of game play. Not functional! Not worth a dime. Don't waste your money.

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Waste of money!!!
Written by BS from RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA

The positive: Cant really think of any. Runs well on most Macs.
The negative: Too linear, forced to quest, does not even come close to games like Oblivion that are not ported for OS X. This game is bad and I hate it. Waste of money.
Summary: not worth the $50+ dollars youll pay through the Apple store.
