I've read a lot of complaints about bugs in the program. People that have trouble, there is a new patch up download for the program. Visit the asper website to download it. I tried it and it worked. Check it out!

Good graphics, great sequel to the previous versions, but Mac version?

Lots of bugs and glitches, and crashes too much. Very laggy on my 1.25GB RAM Macbook. The windows version could do better on another Compaq presario laptop with the same amount of RAM.

I have this for the PC also and it works better than on a 3GB RAM Macbook pro HUH??????!!!
The PC is running on 128RAM.... What is going on??
Ther game crashes often and i have owned it for about 5 hours.
The keyboard keys are do not register and need to be pressed 8 - 9 times before becoming recognized... It is slow and sluggish and this is running on the top of the range computer... Yet halo will run at the higest setting and there is no drop below 30fps.
I am disappointed and will think twice before buying a game again unless i can download a demo...

Pros;
Brilliant idea and gameplay...

Cons;
Does not work on Apple computers

DO NOT waste you money here

Terrible on Macbook so slow and it is hard to use. The only pro is that u can ride the ride, but even that lags like crazy.

Not stable - disappointment

Let me begin by saying I LOVE Roller Coaster Tycoon -- and Version 2 on the PC was the best. While Version 3 works well on PC, It does not work well on Mac --

The program is buggy, and even with the patch, crashes often. It runs so slowly it makes gameplay next to useless. Once your park grows beyond about 10 rides, the interface is so slow you can't watch the Coaster Cam without dropped frames and 5 - 10 second pauses while the program catches up. It drops out visuals in the background when this occurs as well.

When I upgraded to the Soaked Expension Pack, the program just ground to a halt.

Not worth the 50.00. Would love to see them port over Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, which remains the definitive version.

I've found this game unusable, as much as I would love to.

this is a great game! it has all the features that you could want but it is sluggish.
I have a 1.83GHZ macbook with 2GB og RAM and it is still sluggish!

Problems with new iMac

I LOVE THIS GAME!! It worked great on my iMac G5 (only was a little slow). Then the other day I decided to upgrade to a 24in new iMac (the silver and black one) and the game has severe graphical problems that make it not playable (the ground in sandbox mode is see through/black). I wrote to Aspyr and they said that they are working on it but cannot support it at this time. :-( This is my favorite game...I am VERY disapointed. (I also use Soaked and the same thing happens). Hopefully they will release a new patch or a video card update soon so that it is playable again!!

This game is awesome! It works great on my mac book pro and i didnt even need to download the binary patch right away...for everyone below who is complaining about the game maybe you should double check to make sure you're not being too stupid to figure out how to install it correctly

Slow and Buggy

The main body of the game is too slow to enjoy. The interface is choppy at best, forget trying to use your itunes library the game just crashes.

Forget this one... find something else to entertain yourself until they remake it from scratch.

Its a really good game. It crashed once but is now working like a charm. Its easy to learn and fun to play. The only problem is that it cost $50.00!!! Thats 2x the amount of the PC version.

it worked great, and was loads of fun, just a bit choppy and slow at running at times, then when i went to use the itunes thing it crashed, and then everytime after that it when i started the game it crashed, even when i reinstalled it.

When wever i try to install it it says i need to clear my disk because it needs 1MB to work. So i tired delete things that i have downloaded and it wont work. I'm not happy with this!

I was very very disappointed. It lacked good graphics !!!!!!!
I could only see the shadow of what I was buliding!!
Roller coaster tycoon the original was far better-and less expensive!!!!

This is a fun game but as mentioned if you want to use the higher graphic settings it is quite demanding.

Hopefully the Canada Apple store will carry the Soaked expansion pack for Mac that is now in other countries.

I'd buy the expansion in a second from the apple store if they carried it and didn't mark up the price so much compared to competitors.

Great but....

I have a 2gig macbook.
The game runs just fine.
I installed the patch before playing it and that seemed to help alot. However, it does crash. I save alot so it doesn't kill the game. Its just not as fun to play knowing that its going to end with out you knowing. I really hope apple or the creaters re-think the patch and make a better one. The game itself is great. I think even though they went 3-D it still feels just like the older RCT's. Its worth it if they fix the crashes.

Very fun game, BUT I hate the fact that I spent 50 dollars for this game and it is SOOOOOOOO FREAKIN SLOW. I love this game but it's just toooo slow. grrrrrr!!!
