Bang & Olufsen Form 2 Headphones
Great
Written by VO from mississauga

These headphones are superb. They have the best soundquality of any headphones i have bought so far. Rich in highs and mids, a bit low on the bass, but not horrible. The only problem i have with these headphones is that the cord is particulary long. This creates a bit of a problem at the end where the cable and the input jack meet. At least for mine, it starts to pull apart. They have lasted me for 6 months so far, but im afraid soon im gonna have to replace them. I DO NOT regret buying them though.

Good Headphone From B&O
Written by HP from Pleasant Hill
Aug 18, 2009
Cool old-school style design. Even though everyone just focus on A8, we shouldn't ignore the beautiful sound comes from From 2.
The cons about Form 2 is that the cord is too thin and the plug is easy to break....Best solution is to change the cable and the plug.5 of 6 people found this useful

Don't Waste Your Money...
Written by MM from Flushing

(1) Extremely uncomfortable (although this is admittedly a purely subjective observation) (2) Reproduction that is blurry around the edges and annoyingly ambiguous throughout (3) Solid headpiece, but speakers and cables are mechanically flimsy (4) Cable is much too short for flexibility and comfortuseless if you want to use with your MacBook (5) B&O technical assistance and customer service is courteous, but (like the sound reproduction) annoyingly ambiguous. Nothing can ever be resolved. I returned mine to Apple and bought the Sennheiser HD595. The B&O A8s are not any better, unless one is accustomed to hearing music played inside a fuel oil storage tank.

can't buy a better pair of headphones for 99
Written by OB from Palatine

My escapade of shopping for a pair of headphones seemed never ending. First of all, if you are looking for a pair of ear buds, you are not going to find a decent pair under 200 dollar. So you might be better off with a good pair of good ol fashioned headphones for sonic quality. I tried the shure se115 and thought they were absolutely awful. no low end or mids for 100?!???! they also came with a rattle in them. then i was talked into the apple in ear headphones. same story only no rattle. then i tested two different pair of bose headphones and i thought they were heavy on lows with no high end. what is a buyer to do if they only want to spend 100 dollars?
enter the B&O Form 2. I was hesitant b/c apple did not have a test pair and i was tired of shopping. i went home and immediately tested them with Bach's St John Passion on CD....WOW!!!! then i tested them with Radiohead OK Computer on the record player. found sounds in there i never heard. Finally, i tried some stuff on my ipod and they were equally impressive given the poor sound quality of an mp3. The overall balance on these are quite astounding and they aren't too bulky at all. i really enjoy these and you can't go wrong. I should also add that i am a studio musician that has been playing and recording for over 10 years. enjoy.14 of 14 people found this useful

Blew me away!
Written by JL from Hot Springs

I've been an audiophile for life, once I heard the quality of these headphones, I must say that the Bang & Olufsen sound quality is just what it is, Quality! People on here are complaining about the bass, the thing about B&O, the reproduced sound is the sound that was meant to be heard, no overkill, no undertone. I rate this a 5 star, if I could I would put a hundred. Mix B&O with a Mac and or iPod, you can't go wrong. Design, form and function! Enjoy this work of art!

Balanced Design & Quality.
Written by WC from Toronto

After having the apple in-ear headphones for about three years, I felt the need to change headphones, and I found these and it was love at first sight.
They may look very delicate, but they're pretty durable and the sound is amazing, it's like rediscovering my entire music collection.
Two cons: not meant for very long-term use, as they tend to hurt after a while, and the bass isn't as strong as I'd like it to be, but that's passable with the level of quality in sound.10 of 10 people found this useful

I have had these headphones for about a year and they are AMAZING! There is crystal clear quality! The only thing I don't like about these headphones is that the wire is extremely LONG!! Because of this, I usually leave them at home.

Solid sound, comfy fit
Written by WM from Dallas
Feb 10, 2009
These headphones deliver a nice quality sound. There's not a whole lot of bass, nor is it too tinny. The sound is flat and, I believe, perfectly balanced.
The fit is nice. Since they are lightweight, they are very comfortable. The cord is extremely long, which can be a pain. That's my only complaint. They could have opted for an extension.12 of 13 people found this useful

3 Years and Counting
Written by LH from Bozeman
Jan 13, 2009
I purchased these headphones over 3 years ago from the Apple store in New York. After the break in period of 20-30 hours the sound got even better then heard in the store. Mine have the extra long cable, which I find nice as I often listen to them at work and the long cable affords me the ability to move around my desk while plugged into my MacBook. Lightweight construction makes them very nice to wear and they seem very durable. They can pinch your head if you listen to them for a extended time period (5 hours +). Good sound quality, and a great price.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FOR $100!
Written by JK
Jan 2, 2009
I just got these headphones and they are incredible. Totally worth the $100. The sound is incredibly sharp and they feel like nothing weight wise only being 2.4oz. They sound louder at first in my view than the earbuds that come with the iPods/iPhones. They are loud enough or quiet enough for any listener. But no one else can hear your music. Overall the best headphones under $150!

Great headphone for under $150

I bought these headphones with a mac wich was stolen within a couple days of me recieving it. i still have the form 2s though. they are the best head phone i've ever owned. i used them for a whole season of snowboarding in bc and they fit perfectly over my fitted hats. i get the cord caught on stuff all the time and i dont see any signs of wear. my dog chewed them once and i simply tightened the screws and they are like new. i had wesc headphones and sony dj700s and i love the open ear style. they can handle max volume on my ipod yet i never need it. i will buy another set as soon as these get stolen.

Best Value!
Written by TT from Los Gatos
Oct 8, 2008
I bought these to use at home, inside and outside, with my stereo and my iPhone.
Quite simply: they are the best value. They are light, very comfortable, and have such clear sound that my happiness runneth over. Older reviews refer to an 9 ft cable.....my more recent purchase came with a 4 ft cable.

what a disappointment
Written by MC from Santa Barbara
Aug 31, 2008
What a disappointment. Disappointed in B&O and disappointed in Apple for carrying their product in their online store.
These headphones might look neat but it's just cheap plastic and metal. They hurt your head. They don't sound any better than the free earphones you get on airplanes, and they are already falling apart after about a week.

Superb!!
Written by VP from Salt Lake City

I have had A8 earphones since 2002 and I just bought these Form 2 headphones couple months ago. I didn't really want to buy them but once I tried them on, I suddenly felt the tempting feeling that urged me to buy them! I felt like if I didn't buy them, I'd die! The quality of the sound was soooooooooooooooooooooo much better than A8!! Like black and white! I'm not saying A8 is not good but I prefer Form 2. I think it depends on favour of each listerner. Form 2 can provide more base sound than A8. A8's sound is too clear and I prefer more base. Plus, it's much cheaper too! Only 1 con is they're not so convenient to carry around like A8.

I bought these mainly because they were the only headphones with good design and was surprised by the quality of the sound (even the bass is good) and how light and comfortable they are (though like a new pair of shoes, they need to be stretched a bit). They're thinner than most headphones and fit nicely in my laptop bag.

Work Okay, but Cord is Too Long!
Written by KE from BROOKLYN
May 12, 2008
The audio on these is average - about what'd I'd expect from typical over-ear headphones; very similar to the kind of headphones that came with portable tape players back in the day. However, I really wish I'd checked the length of the cord on these before I bought them. It's EXTREMELY long. When I took them to work, I'd get it all tangled around my chair. Throw them in my purse, and I'd be wrestling with a mass of cord whenever I opened it. I ended up giving them away. Who needs a cord that long? There's just no good reason for it!

Light weight enough for walking
Written by LS from Warren
Apr 27, 2008
While I'm not a high-power walker, I do my fair share of fast walking. These headphones are light-weight and much more comfortable than ear buds. I wouldn't use them for jogging; but they are acceptable for low impact workouts. I have a small head, so I don't have the fit problems some others may have. And, yes the cord is very long...takes up lots of pocket space when you're moving around with your ipod. Also, if you're using the headphones while lounging in the sun, the metal strap on the top of your head gets hot from the sun. As for the sound quality, it has a good clear bass level and is very acceptable for people who enjoy everyday basic music.
