    This Game Rocks

    Written by RH from Albuquerque

All I have to say is, wow. I love this game. I've had it for almost a year and i still haven't got bored of it. For one, you can add so much on to this game. You can download new maps and install them to the game. And multiplayer rocks, but can get laggy sometimes,

And for you Intel Mac users, i recently emailed Aspyr and they are planing to make a patch that will make Star Wars Battlefront Universal, so just sit tight.

    Battlefront now works

    Written by MC from LEEDS

I have been really frustrated with the lack of a patch from Aspyr to make this game run on intel machine. I just did a software update on my macbook taking it to 10.4.8 and it makes Battlefont work. Great!!!!! Slow on a 1.83 macbook though. Can be speeded up by tweeking some of the video settings.

    Good Game

This is a REALLY GREAT GAME!!!!! I like it except for a few disadvantages. I owned the second one for PC and it was ok except for being SUPER laggy. I was hungry for a fast game that was simaler to this game. When I bought it, I loved the levels that you could not access during the second game. On the other hand, You cannot play as a jedi (I think) and cannot do space battles. Some of the up sides are that you do not have to earn your units and new words that you might not of seen in the movie. If you're like me and want to switch to a great, smooth running shooter, this is the game for you.

P.S. I agree that they should make star wars battlefront 2 for the mac because of the great gameplay in that game as well.

This is one of the best games ever and if it wont run then go to the star wars application and right click it then hit package content, then open mac os x in the content and finally hit star wars battlefront twice. that will make the game work. Happy gaming!

I am a big fan of battlefront and when i saw it for mac i had to get it. I have the new mac book 2008 with nvidia graphic card, but this game just didn't get threw. Instead of hitting the icon to start up the game you have to go to package content to start it up. People say its a leopard thing. Another thing i can't change the resolution, i mean i am stuck with 800x600 when i want to go larger. If anybody knows another way to change it please email me

Works fine on Intel for me

    Written by EG from Calgary

Works fine for me...and I am using an Intel Imac 1.83 with the 128mb video card and 1Gb ram. Fun and quite playable. It's great fun making your friends do the 'thermal detonator break dance'... Game ranger adds a nice way to set up multiplayer games with more than two people.

    INTEL MAC PROBLEM

    Written by JS from Dublin

    Sep 7, 2006

if you have an intel mac with 10.4.6 it will work, but 10.4.7 makes it crash. Be wary of this!

This answers a lot of questions.

Excellent for when you're bored of other games

    Written by NW from Arlington

This game is great on the BOOM side. There are many exciting ways to kill an enemy. You can grenade them, hop in a vehicle, shoot, place mines, or even target airstikes. The factions are also differentiated enough not to seem alike. The Droideka is a great blasting tool, the Clone jet trooper is like a commando, and the imperial dark trooper is a great fast-mover and assault trooper.Me being a strategy fiend, I bought this game and grew bored of it within the week. However, I invited my less classy friends over to play it, and they of course loved it. (I stick to strategy games) It's got highly addictive gameplay with many ways to kill an enemy. That's why it's kind of a "backup" game when all else seems to be boring. Even though Gameranger is the most horrible service ever, this game has got great replay value lasting anywhere from 2 months to 2 years. I would definately buy Battlefront 2 for mac if it came out.

Works IF you don't have an Intel

    Written by PP from Hudson

    Aug 18, 2006

This game is a very good first person shooter for fans of Star Wars in general. I used my PB G4 1.5 with 1 gig of RAM and it was very smooth, but my new 2.0 Intel MacBook Pro with 1.5 gig of RAM won't let me run the game. Aspyr is currently working on a patch, but Apple should put on their site a disclaimer that is DOESN'T RUN ON INTEL MACHINES YET! The game still gets a 5 because it is a good game.

    this game is awesome!!

I got this game when it first came out and it was the best! yes single player lacks a little bit but not that much. I really enjoyed single player for awhile and i still do! multiplayer is the BEST though. it is so much fun playing with other people, and if you ever get bored with the 16 available maps (which im STILL not board of) you can download more maps! just go to lucasfiles.com or starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com

there are so many more maps that you can download with new weapons and skins. trust me. i had doubts when i first bought this game, but i do not regret it one bit!!!

you dont even have to be a star wars fan to love this game because im not a big fan!!!

    great game

    Written by HM from Seattle

this game is fun but the fighters are difficult to fly. i reccomend that u don't usethe gunship & the seperatist "gunship". all of the other fighters are fun, especially doing strafing runs & bombing runs of the enemy. the graphics r decent but they could be better. the gameplay gets somewhat boring after a while with only a few places to go. also there is not many choices fro being a soldier :(

apart from that it is a great game :)

    It's alright

One thing about this game. if you arent a big online gamer, you WILL NOT enjoy this game at all. the single player missions are alright for the first time through, but single player replay is almost non-existant. Now, if you are an online junkie, and enjoy multiplayer games online, like me. this game is great. unlike the single-player, you can never guess whats gonna happen next. everyone has theyre own style of play.
Overall 4 stars, because lack of single-player.

    Soooooooo Addictive!

    Written by JS from Dublin

    Jun 2, 2006

Man, this game really sucks time from your hands. It has to be one of the best games for the Mac platform.

One thing that they say is wrong. Their are actually 17 maps with the game including Jabba's Palace from BF II (which they should make for mac). The best weapon is definitely the rebel vangaurds missile launcher that fires two shells at once.

The lack of widescreen function is really stupid as it would be very easy to program into the game, also, the game gets a little choppy on my intel mac on levels that are intense like endor. Another 512MB RAM will fix that...

    Don't get me wrong
this is a great game. it is excellent for gamers that are just entering the FPS world. but for more hard core FPS gamers who are used to great graphics and a melee system you should look else where. I recommend call of duty 2 or 4. or if you really like to play hard core doom 3. I hope this helps.

    The best game ever!!

Written by JW from San Antonio

    Jan 24, 2006

This game is one of the best games ever! I try to play it as much as I can, but never really get into it. I think that if you like Star Wars, then this is the game for you. If you like Hoth, Endor, Yavin, or any other battles, you can play them all! There are also some things I never heard of though. Here's a tip: If you want to kill the Jedi, run over them with a speeder bike, a landspeeder, whatever. Just go REALLY fast, though.
I think this is a great game for ANYONE who likes Star Wars.
