The Sims 2
Try out the Demo Mode of Joe Sim
Written by TG from Hillsboro
Mar 9, 2009
If this is the first game - that you get that lets you move the camera to get different shots... please play the Demo Mode, with Joe Sim. Some of the stuff can seem very intimidating at first - - - but keep watching how the characters in the three neighborhoods interact with each other.
There isn't all that much of a choice - in terms of clothes, make-up, and the ability to design their lifestyle just yet...
Very important to keep your Sim Character - constantly socializing and inviting people to come over as often as possible. This will help you win REWARDS, and FAVORS to rise higher in your CAREER track.

Just great!!!

I've been a huge fan of The Sims game for a long time. I used to play for hours in my PC, even though I had to wait an eternity for it to load. Recently I switched to Mac and I decided to buy the game. I was worried because of all the bad reviews it has concerning the graphics and the game specs. Well, I've been using it for about a week now; both in my iMac and in my Macbook (which by the way are not top of the line), and the game runs just smoothly. It runs even better than it did in my PC. Loading time is way shorter and graphics are awesome. The only problem I had was when I first installed it, it said that I had not enough space, but then, I tried for a second time without making any changes and it just worked! Since then I've been hooked all over again and I'm planning to buy the expansion packs very soon! Buy it, you'll enjoy it! And if you've played the game in a PC, you'll enjoy it even more seeing the difference!

Old Sims Made New
Written by DD from Brown Deer
Oct 26, 2008
Having played the original version from the very first days on a PC and then the Complete Sims on a Mac, I was very reluctant to buy a new version no matter how much it had advanced. But a 2.8ghz MBPro has the speed and graphics oomph, so ... Let me say that WOW! is an understatement. Nothing jerks anymore, even at the highest resolution with all effects maxxed. Buildings are no longer limited to two stories, and like Sim City, there's an actual night. Sim interaction is literally just like the trailers for Sims 2 add-ons -- those ARE NOT in-game cinematics -- with the usual thought bubbles, learning bars, and emotion pips above their heads. This is certainly the game to get if you couldn't stop playing the original.

Since I played the sims 1, it is very addictive!
Compared to the sims 1, the sims 2 is far more interesting upon the fact that it has better graphics, more life stage details, and of course great expansion packs.
The sims 2 also more challenging than the sims 1 because it has wants and aspiration.
The sims 2 is the only game which worth your money!82 of 94 people found this useful

i read some of the other reviews and it said it was slow and laggy on the macbook then i read one that said if yo change the graphics quality it works fine so i did and when you change the graphics quality to low it looks exactly the same but runs faster so it does work on themacbook and actually runs way better than when on a computer running windows

System Requirements
Written by IM

I bought the Sims 2 even though i did not have the minimum system requirements, despite all the warnings, and it works great. I'm really pleased with the game but i know people with all of the recommended system requirements who have bought this game and it has not worked for them, so if your gonna buy it its luck whether it will work or not.

I love The Sims 2 So much. When I first got it for Christmas I play with it 3 days straight. Now that I've had it for 3 years i'm more advanced. I have many expansion packs and I use many cheat codes. Like how to get twins, MOTHERLODE, and how to unlock the fashions. I would recomend The Sims 2 to anyone! This game is so much fun:P

Brilliant

This game is probably one of the best games on the market for mac, it runs pretty good and there's really no reason to be jealous of people who run it on a pc. For people who originally played The Sims, the extra options will blow your mind.

thumbs up

this game is super fun. I used to have a pc (macs are better tho) and the only difference is, is that in the sims 2 for pc they have a place where you can download peoples sim hair, clothes, eyes, skin tones, etc. and i haven't been able to find out if there is a thing like that for mac yet, and I dont no how to make them on my own. so its a thumbs up, but pc's version is slightly better.

The Sims 2 best of the best
Written by TM from Portland

The Sims 2 is so much fun. It never gets boring, or you feel like you want to stop. The only thing that might make you stop is if you are a PC user and your computer shuts down-like usual. But on a Mac, that doesn't happen. Also when you get "advanced" you can use cheats. Like make your sim get abducted by aliens. Or even have twins! There is much more cheats and different things to do with them. Then after a while you will get expansion packs to go with your original sims!

Great for anytime

The sims 2 is an awsome product! the sims 2 doesn't need internet so i can use it while i travel. It is a great game and on a mac book it only takes up 3 gb on your computer. it is great and fun for evey one. The only bad thing is that it eats up your power fast, so i recomend plugging in your adapter while playing.

Game of the Future
Written by GW from Columbus
May 12, 2008
I don't play many computer games, and I haven't played Sims since I was about 8 years old. My brother got it for his Mac and it resparked my interest for it. I went down to my Apple Store and bought The Sims 2, and I was in awe with the options and everything you can do in the game! Not only can you make and decorate your very own HUGEMUNGO mansion, but once you're done, you can live it up with your friends and family. And don't forget lounging around in your mansion or swimming in your pool! I am TOTALLY obsessed with this game and I think everyone needs to have this wonderful experience. For the price, this is such a deal, it packs an amazingly fun puch in one little box. I look forward to buying many expansion packs and livin' it up!
