This game is repetitive and the same as the original. I really wish that apple would invest in high quality games like Half Life 2 they promised. Now that would be a game worth buying.

I cannot get myself away from my computer. You can play the preset families that have story-lines ready to go, or create your own! WooHoo is the best! Oh, and it works fine on my iMac G4 800mhz, but with 768MB of RAM.

The Sims 2 is the best game I've ever played on my Mac. Since it only takes up 3GB of space on my HD, it doesn't make my computer slower than it already is! Thanks, Aspyr and EA Games, for making this awesome game!

I did not find the Sims2 Much different than the Sims1. I would suggest buying sims2 only if you dont have sims1 already. It still is alot of fun I have to admit, but if I didnt lose my Sims1, then I wouldnt have bought it. I am not too sure if the Expansion Packs will make up for the game, but hopefully they will.

Although I adore the Sims 2 and have all of the expansion packs for the original Sims, I was very disappionted with the RAM and memory needed for Sims 2!!! If you have a slow computer (and I say from experience) you will have no hope to download Sims 2. I am currently trying to find another way to get the Sims 2, as it IS an amazing game.
For example, I love how you can utterly control someone else's life! The new ideas of grocery stores, twins, different age groups, new careers, new food, new objects, aspirations and growing up is remarkable! To someone who has never played the original Sims, this will sound insane, but believe me Aspyr did a good job!!!!
If you are still doubtful about whether or not to buy this GREAT game, consider this: You have unlimited possibilities. Unlike the Sims, in Sims 2 you can have generations upon generations of families! The fun just keeps going!!!!
So, if your computer is fast enough and you have a sense of humour, buy this game. You won't regret it!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I finally got my hands on the Sims 2 after searching over 8 different stores to find it. This game is a great improvement concidering it's highly detail sims and objects amd great storylines.
I am running it on a 15'' Powerbook G4 (with 128 mb of video memory and 512 RAM) with all graphics on low and it still is extremely slow and choppy. I would only reccomend this game to anyone with a G4 or G5 with 1GB of ram or higher if your looking for peak performance.
Overall this game is pretty good. You will never get board of it due to its unlimited possiblities and actions. You can do just about anything on this game which makes it even more exciting. Enjoy!

This is the best game in the UNIVERSE!!! I don't have any other games but I borrowed the first one from my friend!! it was OK and not the best!!
But when I heard about SIMS 2 I was sooooo amazed!!!
My friends sister has it so every time I'm at her house and her sister is playing I want to watch her but my friend says NO!!!
So one day when I was there her sister said my friend and I could play( and my friend hates the SIMS) so she said no and I was like just try it and she said ok but only once so we made our house and we adopted children and stuff then we were the people and she had so much fun!! She haded it now she LOVES it!! SWEET HUH??
Anyways this is the best game in the world!! you have to have !!!! And also when I heard about it I was like is it gunna be like the SIMS or better so I tried it and now I LOVE it!!! And I've been waiting so long to have it!!!! You must have it!!

Took too long to come out, so many problems with it it's not even funny. Good game, nothing to download that'll work with it though. EA stiffs us Mac players like that.

This is one of the best games I've played in quite some time! The replayability is limitless, and I find myself forgoing needs in the "real world" to ensure my sims are comfortably fed and housed. Maxis and EA did their research with this one, and hats off to Aspyr for bringing this to the *best* platform!

Word of caution...ensure you either have the latest and greatest Mac machine, or wait for either an expansion for the game or a good patch to come down the line before you buy. I'm running The Sims 2 on a 17" PowerMac G5, the top of the line as of this date, and the game is virtually unplayable on anything higher than medium resolutions with many of the graphic features disabled. You get a great frame rate at the lowest resolutions, but you miss all the wonderfully thought out details. I don't regret the purchase in the least, I just need a good fix to integrate the detail the Sims 2 provides with the graphic powerhouse that Mac machines are famous for!

Sims2 is so much fun! I'm new to the joys of Sims... my friend introduced me when Sims2 came out. Now I'm totally addicted.

This is by far the best computer game I've ever played... I can't wait for all of the expansion packs to come out!

I LOVE Sims 2! It is such a fun game! The reason why I love it so much is because it teaches you about life and whats coming up! Another reason why I love it is because you are able to control people's lives and make them do whatever you want them to do! This game is so much fun I recommend buying it!

this game is great i played it in the computer of my friend and I said WOWW this is great I imagined it good but not that good. Im a sims fan but i have mac so I could no get it until now I have waited so much time talking just abouts sims 2 but now i can have it but i have bad luck because I have in a country ruled by PC's and there is nothing about mac in here and now I have to wait TWO MORE WEEkS TWO GET IT BUT it's still great.
