Does not work with new macbook pro!

I recently purchased my new macbook pro with 2gb of ram a duel core 2.0+ processor and this game freezes and then freezes again i have downloaded all the recent patches and i must say that this is a horrible dissapointment!!!!!

Works Well on a MacBook

I loved this game on my Windows computer, but then I switched to a MacBook and read a lot of reviews saying that the game didnt run well on MacBooks because it didnt have the right video card. Not true on my MacBook. In my opinion, it runs better on my MacBook than it did on my old Windows computer. It doesnt freeze or stall or randomly shut down after a couple of hours. I have been playing it almost non-stop for the last 3 days and I am SO HAPPY that I bought it... DONT LET THOSE OTHER REVIEWS SCARE YOU OFF... as long as you download the universal patch from aspyr's website, it runs perfectly and they can fix any problems that occur- and that is straight from aspyr's customer support team.

Great, addictive, fun game with excellent graphics and tons of ways to play. Runs perfectly smoothly on high graphics for me (iMac G5 intel), unless you leave it on over a long period of time (+3 hours without playing it). HIGHLY reccomend this game if you want to have a lot of fun. What's also nice is that it's different from most games...if you've played the original, you know what I mean. GREAT GAME!!!

Way better than the sims. With great grafics the Sims 2 is a must have game. You can go down town, make a house, make a person, with newer sims make pets, give your sims asperations, better clothes, and get closer to them. The sims 2 has tenagers and todlers now! Now there are aliens and landsapes! I love this awesome game!!!!

I been playing Sims ever since it came out on PC. But Until this year, I switched over to a iMac. And the quality and game performance is outstanding. Best Game EVer as well.

Ive had the sims 2 for the lonnngggest time! i love it! i dont think my life could depend with out it! =D its so relastic especially when you start to buy the expansion packs. there may be a lot of sexual things in it but its fun anyway! the sims 2 is an orginal game and i cant wait till the sims 2 seasons comes out in the end of may for mac!!!!

The Sims 2 is truly a great game. It runs AWESOME in my 17" Intel core duo iMac with 1 GB RAM.

OMG! This game is a hit u can't miss it.It's soutable for Kids (6years old +) & Adults . If u don't have it for your mac don't hesitate to buy it . Its something u can't miss @ all.

This game by far is prbably the most addicting game i have ever played. The mac version i find doesn't freeze and take long to load rather then the PC version i used to have, it would freeze all the time.the mac version is 10 X better. space is the only problem i have with my mac, so if your planing on buying the extension packs, you might want to think 2'ice. other then that, The sims is deffinately a 5 out of 5 stars for the Macs. (!WARNING! PLAYING MORE THEN 6 HOURS STRAIGHT IS NOT HEALTHY.......TAKE BREAKS EVERY 1 HOUR FOR 3-2 HOURS....TRUST ME IF UR A TRUE SIMS FAN, U KNOW WHAT I MEAN.......this does happen)

this game has so many real things and it lets u design your own sim and the facial features. it starts to get slow after 30 minutes but you can save and let it rest for 10 and then continue ! other than that it is great but kids under 13 shouldnt play it cause it does have love and you actually make your children and you do IT !only mature peope should play this . it rocks !

Great game if the computer can handle it

I've played it on the PC and couldn't wait to put my new iMac 20" dual core to the test. I'm disappointed. Even with 1 Gb of RAM and upgraded video, the PC plays smoother and has better quality with the same amount of RAM, a single core processor, and roughly the same video card.

It's slow, glitchy, and the graphics are substandard. I don't like the performance on my Mac, but, to be fair, the game itself is known to a computer killer. There were issues on my PC, just not to the extent of the Mac version. A pricey mistake as far as I'm concerned.

Te Sims2 is an AWSOME game. It is sooo much fun. You have to get the regular Sims2 to downlad any other Sims2 expantion pack games. It is just sooo much fun!
