Very poor graphics

The game is pretty good, except for the graphics. I have played other games from around 2002 with better graphics, so I assumed they would be better then they are. I would highly recommend Call of Duty 2 over this game. Call of Duty 2 is another WWII first person shooter, but the graphics are so much better and it runs well on a first generation MacBook.

A great historical game

This game shows not only the reality of the war, but of the necessity for forward thinking that came out of it and began the quest for highly trained special forces. Not to mention... ...the incredible graphics and depth of all out kick-ass action that has become comonplace for aspyr and EA games. My family and I played it so much and each on a different computer at different times, that the disc was finally worn and scratched beyond use. I'm currently waiting for it to show up in the apple stores nearby so I can procure it for myself (forget the family this one is mine). On a slower mac, lower the graphics and sound and go to town. On a newer 2.2ghz or higher, raise the graphics and go for pinpoint accuracy and speed. Don't be fooled by immitations, this is the real deal.

Great game for Imac g4 800Mhz

I have a imac 800mhz g4 and it works fine on the game it is slow at time but make every thing low I would recommend it to any on who wants a game that works on a old computer like a g4 maybe not so much for a g3 (I think multiplayer is the best) and it comes with 3 games one disc

spear head good
Breakthrough all right I like it but I would have 1 ghz g5 dont play it if you have a g3

Intel iMac does a swell job with MOH: AA

I played the game on my intel imac (OS 10.4.10) from beginning to end with no bugs.
MOH: Breakthrough and Spearhead (both come with warchest) were also excellent.

There is ONE bug that I encountered, that made Spearhead anticlimactic.
-At the end of the game there is a transition between game play and the debriefing movie/ credits. You are fighting with a tank for 2 min before this occurs. The bug appears at the end of 2 min and you get stuck in this 3d map zone of the level you just played. You can see building structures and half of your tank.

All other briefing/ debriefing movies work perfect.

Game is the best EVER! it runs fine on my Intel iMac but it crashes everytime on my MacBook Pro. but i see other users with a macbook pro that say it runs fine... who/where/what/why/how ??

Runs OK, but a UB version would be welcome

Both MOHAA and Spearhead run pretty OK under Rosetta on my 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro, with about 30-40fps in the more demanding Spearhead (1440x900 resolution, medium quality settings). This is a huge improvement over the slide show-performance I had on my old G3 iBook (I still don't grasp how I ever finished the game on that machine). I don't have the Breakthrough expansion, so I don't know how well it would run.

I assume this package contains the latest versions, but it still wouldn't hurt to check for updaters (look in the Downloads section of the Apple site), especially if you bought the games separately a while ago like me. Your MOHAA version should at least be 1.14b and Spearhead 2.15b.

With the performance being just 'OK' on a MBP, I suppose Intel Macs with less powerful graphics hardware or processors may not be suitable to play these games, until Aspyr releases a Universal Binary update. This shouldn't be too hard because they already adapted the Quake3 engine which powers these games.

Note: there is a way to enable multiprocessing support, _don't_ do this on Intel Macs! It will reduce performance for some reason, maybe because it interferes with Rosetta (or maybe it's simply broken, there must be a reason why it's disabled by default).

As for the games themselves, they may not be the most groundbreaking concerning game play, but they do focus on realism (all weapons, vehicles and locations are historically accurate). If you want a straight shoot 'em up game, you're better off with Unreal Tournament. The graphics (especially of the original MOHAA) may be a bit dated, but the sound is still excellent.

Mac version is terrible

I have an intel-duo iMac and the game runs at such a slow frame rate that it is not worth playing. I have been playing Medal of Honor on a gaming PC for years and would have loved to use my mac to play it too. I will NEVER play this game. I have the PC version of MOH installed on my XP partition on my same iMac and I get outstanding frame rates.

Do not bother with this game if you have an intel machine. I think it works better on a PPC Mac, but still the PC version is better, sorry to say.
