    Simply poor quality

    • Written by from Copenhagen

they worked for me one time. After using them once and having to re-charge (for the first time) they will switch on again. They will not re-charge. And I can't reset them. There is very little Lebron MVP over this product and frankly it's the 3rd pair of Dre Beats product I've purchased that simply doesn't work more than 1 or 2 months. Even if I got a 90pct discount I would never buy from this vendor again. Both the hardware and software can only be described with words that I'm not allowed to use in this review.. Don't get why apple bought this company, they could easily have outcompeted them.

    Wireless Except For The Wire

    • Written by from San Francisco

The wire is uncomfortable and catches on your neck when you turn your head. I would really like some actual wireless in-ear headphones.

    They're not quite loud enough.

The bluetooth range is very poor. I keep my phone (iPhone 6+) in my back pocket and that is too far away. It dropouts for a second here and there.

    Don't waste your money.

    • Written by from Edmond

I purchased these in February, and they quit charging by May. I took them to an Apple Store, where they replaced them. It's now June, and the new pair have also quit charging. I attempted to reset both pairs several times with no luck. Do not waste your money on this product.

Worst thing to happen to Apple!

    • Written by from Brownsville

Please read all reviews before purchasing these. That was my mistake in this horrible purchasing nightmare. Just over one month of purchasing these and they broke. The materials are very weak. Even though they claim that they are for working out, trust me there is no way LeBron uses these . Extremely poor design and material quality. And of coarse nothing is covered in warranty. I should of bought the jaybird or any other ones out there. Don't flush your money down the toilet like I did. You have been warned.

    not good enough

    • Written by from ANADOLU

I bought this device 1 month ago. It's wireless, amazing.
Good for running and listening music.

    However;
It has poor range. Sometimes, there is interruption even same room.
Sometimes there is unacceptable too much lag.
(Especially watching something on computer/both windows and mac)

I was going to return it, but I missed return date.
I don't recommend this device by this condition.

    Think Twice!

    • Written by from Dagenham

I ummed and ahed for ages before letting myself get these - the price is a lot for earphones (for me, anyway, being a user of the normal Apple earbud), but I was running a marathon and decided to treat myself for the Big Day,

Oh, these could have been great. The sound is nice and bassy (though as others have said there is a lag when watching a video - but that's not what I bought these for so not much of a concern for me), they fit nicely and they look cool too.

But - and it's a big, capital BUT - the quoted battery life is a flat-out lie, and I (like many others) have discovered after only a few months of use that the device just stops charging. You can soft reset it, hard rest it, update it (that's if the mysterious Beats Updater even works at all), and even resort to pleading with it, and it will not accept charge. The response from Apple is to take them to store for a service, which I will do, but for £170 you'd expect to get a product that would work for longer than 3 months - and given mine and others experiences I can't be confident that this won't happen again even after a service.

You could very likely do a lot better for a lot less money. I really liked these earphones for a little while, and I'm so disappointed they have failed so early. Back to the ever trustworthy Apple 'buds.

Good wireless headphones that could be great

    • Written by from tappan

The comfort on these headphone is excellent and they stay in your ear while running and working out. The one shortfall, like others have mentioned is the lip sync audio issue when watching movies. I noticed this on some but not all movies. Watching movies through the stock movie player were fine, however watching movies through VLC app had noticeable lip sync audio lag. Overall I still think these are very good headphones that I mostly use to listen to music with very good sound quality.

    Garbage do not buy

    • Written by from Fairfield

Great sound quality, great Bluetooth range, stays on your head while working out, but can not watch a video with them. Unfortunately you can only use these for music because they are always lagging a couple seconds behind where they should. You won't notice while listening to music ,unless it is a music video, but it is awful to watch videos.

    Waste of Money

    • Written by from Rockledge

These are horrible for the gym. I have not used them in any other setting. The sound quality doesn't even come close to my Jaybirds(which I am now back to using). I owned them for 3 months all function buttons quit responding. I had to return them obviously they are still under warranty. If anyone would like to purchase the new pair that I receive let me know I would gladly give these up at a discounted price. I paid $199.00 lol what a sucker.. Maybe if Lebron wore the JayBirds instead of these he might of won another championship.. ; )

    Not worth it

    • Written by from Austin

This is the second pair in 2 months. These are NOT suited for working out. Had them about a month and a half, the buttons stopped working, the cover of the buttons fell off, the cover of the USB port for charging came off... these are not well made headphones. The bluetooth is meh - range is really about 1/2 of what they say, and even at that it will cut out sometimes. The sound is fine, fit over ear well... If you are going to use them in an office setting where there is not any semblance of moderate wear, then they would be OK, but otherwise, go with something else.
I also had the Jaybird x, those are hard wearing, better range, more durable, much better for work outs... I had to give to my partner so he could take to gym and i got stuck with beats.

    Powerbeats2 Wireless garbage

    • Written by

Will be going in Monday for my 3rd pair in 2 weeks, very buggy, very weak signal, you get about 10 feet via Bluetooth connectivity (advertises itself at 30), and battery life will give you 5 strong hours (advertises itself at 6). First pair would not connect to Bluetooth with any device, took them back to get switched the first day I bought them. A week later sound was noticeably dropping out in one of the ears, (I use them about an hour a day for light exercise) they are not sweatproof (which is just silly) but my exercise is not intense and does not produce a ton. Couple days later, mid-jog, the Volume Up button starts to make the volume go down, so I can't get my music over a whisper. An hour later the sound controls stop working entirely, making the entire device useless. This is not a top of the line product, I will be exchanging mine for a different brand as I have had way too much experience with big companies passing off garbage products to consumers under a flashy name. BeatsbyDre are not worth your money, be wary of your uneducated Apple salesman trying to simply pass off the most expensive item in the store with no knowledge to how poorly they function

    Good but not great

    • Written by

These headphones are nice because they're wireless, they don't fall out of your ears, they last for about 8 hours, and they sound alright. If you're mostly listening to podcasts or audiobooks they are great. Where they fail is in the bass department. It's like all they wanted you to hear was the treble. I don't understand why Beats tries to be such a big deal when these headphones are definitely not playing music the way artists intended you to hear it. So that's pretty depressing. They are not worth $199 but I got mine for about half that and am pleased with them thusfar. I don't have an issue with video/audio sync, i never have. I also don't have an issue with them not working properly. They connect straight away, every time.

    STICK TO THE APPLE HEADPHONES

    • Written by from Arlington

These headphones do not live up to the hype.

The good: The headphones stay in the ear. They play music.... they seem to connect easily.
The bad: The headphones do not have an off and on switch. The sound is not louder than the apple earbuds. And finally, the mic on these headphones is horrible. I have tried to take a call sitting stationary at my desk, and I was told that I wasn't audible. I have tried sitting in a small room with the headphones and attempting to take a call, and still not audible. I am taking these things back as soon as possible!!!

In 5 months 3 visits Apple Store to replace (now for the 4th set)

    • Written by from Yountvilee

It's becoming almost a joke... when I get my new set I should just make next month's appointment. I only use these on the treadmill at the gym 4-5 times a week... but I sweat (clearly LeBron doesn't do a serious workout with these). Everytime it's been the EXACT same issue. Low battery, go to charge, then the light stays red and won't fully charge, won't turn on.

What's worse is then I have to wait a few days for a Genius Bar appointment (since I have been told I just can't walk in with APPLE's defective product)... then 10 days for them to figure out it's really broken and a replacement (and back to the Apple store).

As a result I laugh when I hear about this magical retail experience Apple is supposed to provide... I can understand they can't make a sport headphone that handles sweat (no one really does), but either take them off the market or support your product.

I paid the 5x plus premium for these and Apple because I figured they would either be built properly or if not that Apple would stand behind them.

So net/net stay away from these overpriced headphones, or buy 2 pairs to rotate while one is in the shop (and prepare for monthly trips to your Apple store)

Beats until it beats no more

    • Written by from Ladera Ranch

Got these as a gift and enjoyed them for a while. A year later, I could no longer enjoy them because they stopped working. Now owned by Apple, customer support tried to help but couldn't. Great sound while it lasted but would expect a longer life for the price. Won't buy them again, low integrity.

    Auto lip sync with Audio

    • Written by from LADYSMITH

I have been using my Powerbeats 2 for about 2 months now using all my devices, Mac pro, Ipad2 and iPhone 6 Plus and have had no issues with lip syncing with audio on various movies from Netflix, iTunes movies and have had absolutely no problems. They must have improved the latest batch of these. The only problem I've had is trying to listen to music while using bike fitness workouts using my Heart rate chest strap. The music keeps clipping. However during run workouts they are fine. Go figure. I am very happy with this headset which produces excellent sound with deep bass.
