    Very unsatisfactory

    • Written by from London

Mine were very good in the first few months of use, but if you're looking for long lasting and durable headphones these are not for you. Mine split in half and I had to use tape to fix it. The padding also became uncomfortable very quickly, and the red cable is complete ruined and I have to hold it inside my phone to stop it from falling out. They feel cheap too. The fake red cable on the inside fell out after a few months. Decent sound quality. I wouldn't buy these again though. Hope this is helpful.

Got these for my wife for Xmas, now I'm jealous. These are the best headphones I've ever listened to. Very crisp sound and the voice is incredibly clear. Totally would recommend.

    Extremely uncomfortable!

    • Written by from Truckee

The most uncomfortable headphones ever! It clamps your head and ears together... You cannot get it to loosen up either. I left it with a bunch of books in the middle for over a week to see if it loosened up but nothing. Terrible fit! Do not buy unless you only want to listen to one song at the time. It hurts too much! Amazing sound though! best bass from any headphone I have listen to.

    Great headphones for a DJ!

    • Written by from Clarence Center

They have awesome bass and great sound quality! I really love that they help cancel out noise to make it easier to hear what you need to hear. I also use these for personal use but what I really love is the cup rotation so you can listen to music and other people when having a conversation. There's only a couple complaints I have about these headphones though. They aren't built the greatest compared to V-Moda, Bose, JBL, etc. and they become uncomfortable after a while. They squeeze your head a little too much but that helps keep them on your head when bouncing up and down. My favorite feature to the all Beats is the cable can be replaced when needed and what's nice about the Pros and Mixrs is you can chain an additional pair of headphones off to share your music.

    These headphones are magnificent

    • Written by from Mississauga

Ok to start this of these are not advised to be used in a studio. Even though they are more clear than all of the beats by dre headphones (besides the pro's.) They have a very tight punchy base with clear highs. However the mids are a little drowned out because of slightly over powering bass, but this problem comes with all the beats by dre but less with the mixr's and pro's.

Allot of the reviews of these headphones say that they are very uncomfortable. for the most part this is the truth but if you wear these headphones for about 1 week they will adjust to the size of your head. This may take more time for most people because i am always mixing music and D.Jing so i am really heavy on these headphones.

In the durability department these headphones are right up there with the pro's thy are made out of this sort of metal and really hard plastic and these headphones are rock solid unlike the solo hd's which started falling apart on me the first week and a half even though I am a heavy user on the headphones cases. Which bring's me to the headphone case. The mixr's have the best case out of all the beats by dre's even the pro's. These headphones have super convenient swivelling for the ear cups so they fold right up into a small little package.

-These are not for producing the pro's are for that thats why there called the pro's. These are more for just listening to good music with amazing sounding headphones.
-if you planed on getting these for studio use or D.Jing and you really had your heart set on getting beats by dre I advise that you spend the extra $100 on the beats by dre pro's
-If you find these to still be uncomfortable even after 2 week's there is no harm in returning them.

The right earphone stopped working about 4 months after purchase. I didn't use my headphones much and I take good care of them. Darn!!...and I really liked these headphones too! This makes this my second pair of beats heaphones that broke on me after about 4 months of usage, my first pair was the Beats Tour. I ignored many complaints about Beats durability thinking that most people don't take care of there equipment..but low and behold, it happened to me.....twice.

Conclusion, good sound, style and a snug fit. In my case, that doesn't mean much if they break easily. I'm going back to using Shure headphones.

    These Are Terrible

    • Written by from Cote St. Luc

Pros: Built well, look pretty awesome, dual output

Cons: Sound unrealistic, not detailed, recessed mids and highs, very uncomfortable, extreme clamping force

There are many other headphones to get for this very hefty price tag, and this is definitely not the one to get. There are many great offerings from Sennheiser, Grado, and Beyerdynamic that you should buy when spending this price. When you do that, you will be getting a true quality headphone.

    STAY AWAY!!!

    Best headphones ever!

    • Written by from Bronx

Look no further - these headphones are the absolute best - strong highs, lows & bass
without having to use the full volume to get there. Don't worry about the initial tight fit -
they loosen up. I tried every set of headphones in the Apple store & these by far beat
the more expensive ones ($349 & up) by a mile! You won't be disappointed.

    Best of the best

    • Written by from Prague

    Hi guys,
I have owned almost all beats that are out there (Pros, Studios, Solos) you name it. I must firs of all tell you that these are the best headphones out of all of them. I listen to all sorts of music genres (dub step, rap, rock etc.) and they do fantastic in all of these. The bass is deep but not overpowered it is ok for anyone, the sound quality is absolutely amazing and is way better than the sound quality of the Pros or Studios. I listen to music a lot and not only that these headphones are extremely nice looking but they fit nice as well. I listen to up to 5 hours of music daily and they are extremely comfortable after like 5 minutes you can't even feel them on your head. The packaging is extremely nice and the headphones are amazing. They are absolutely worth the price they cost (I must say that the Pros aren't). So overall I would as an sort of a audiophile rate them as extremely good. I have heard many rumors about beats good and bad but these headphones are just sweet. There is only one thing Beats could improve and thats the fact that the paint gets scratched of easily of the metal pieces of the headphones and they also should make the cables more durable because the break a lot. But that is all I found being bad about these. I love them and I recommend them to anyone who likes to get a real good sound out of their music.

Overall a great pair of headphones

    • Written by from Rochester

These are my first pair of over/on ear headphones as well as my first pair of Beats. I got these for a Christmas gift and my first impression was pretty good. The box they come in is a high quality box which isn't that important but it shows some quality. I had heard many different things about Beats and I didn't have a very good feeling about the quality of these headphones. They come with a really nice hard case, and they also come with two cables which is a plus. Now onto the headphones. The headphones look pretty sweet and are made of a durable metal unlike other Beats. They are a little tight and can be a little uncomfortable but they loosen up after you wear them for a while. They sound amazing! I've tried on the solos and studios and these are the best of the three. The bass is great but not overpowering. The mids and highs are great. The only other negatives are that the swivels are a little loose and the metal scratches easily. Other than that these headphones are amazing. I recommend these to anyone who wants great sounding and great quality headphones ( if you're willing to put up with the snugness for a little while until they break in).

    Best Headphones Ever

    • Written by from brooklyn

These headphones are just AMAZING. I've had these headphones for a week now and I can't put them down, I go everywhere with them. I've had the solos and the studios before and these headphones blow them out the water. Well built and worth the money. THEY ARE THE BEST BEATS BY DRE HEADPHONES OUT THERE.

What can you say about these? The sound quality is absolutely amazing. Lows, mids, and highs all sound clear and amazing. At $249, these are simply a steal! The quality at this price point is simply unmatched, and these are much more comfortable to wear than the pros. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a new set of headphones!

From my experience, these are the best Beats model headphone.

    • Written by from LEXINGTON

These lack the noise canceling features of the studio and pro models but I didn't notice a marked difference when testing all the models (in terms of noise elimination).

The design and materials are very sturdy. Quite frankly, they're just a gorgeous looking pair of headphones.

The fit is snug (keep in mind these are a DJ model headphone), so they may not be for everyone. The studio and solo headphones series are definitely more comfortable i.e. you put them on and could likely wear them for several hours without adjustment. These you will be moving around from time to time. The snugness makes them a little less comfortable but it also provides a solid seal over your ear, to eliminate outside chatter without the need for battery powered noise cancelation. For me, this was the biggest plus. I travel a lot and the thought of not being able to use my headphones because I forgot my batteries or they wore out was just not an option. However, the more snug fit will likely lead to people getting a little warmer, because they do tend to hold heat in much better. Just something to keep in mind.

A big plus on the DJ model is the pivoting ear cups. It allows you to rotate one cup back and off your ear while continuing to listen in the other, all while maintaing the fit on your head. It's hard to explain but if you try them, you'll know what I mean. These also have the ability to plug the interchangeable chords in to either side of the headset, which is a nice convenience. It is especially helpful if you use them in different settings (like having my macbook headphone jack on the left but preferring the controls on the right when I listen on my iphone. It's a small thing but it matters.

Sound is really crisp on the Mixr model. To my amateur ear they were a lot clearer sounding than the studio and solo models. Mids and highs were very good but they do lack the more powerful bass (if that is your thing).

One noticeable difference on these vs the studio was sound leak was certainly mitigated. If you turn them up a little louder, you're not going to have people around you giving out the death stare. The studios unfortunately seemed to leak quite a bit more sound than you would expect from a $300 pair of headphones.

Overall, if you're in the market for a higher end pair of headphones these are very good. I wanted to give them 4.5 stars but that's not an option, so I leaned more towards 5 than 4 because of everything I explained.

I think they're moderately overpriced at $250 but you do really get what you pay for. When you compare the sound quality and material construction, at similar price points, the vastly outweigh the competition. This is the first pair of Beats I have owned, so I'm not a fan boy. The performance of these, in comparison to others that I tried swayed me more than the name ever could. If they price tag doesn't deter you, or the snug fit, I would recommend these to just about anyone looking for a good all around travel / work headset.

    Quality Headphones!

    • Written by from Los Angeles

These Mixr headphones are quality! Beats spared no expense, as a DJ I have gone through a lot of headphones. These are built to last, the swivel feature is great for one-ear mixing & scratching, and since the brackets are made of aluminum, not plastic, they are strong and ridged. The ear cups fit nice and tight over my ears, and the sound is impressive - from clean low end bass to the crispy highs. I definitely recommend these for DJs and music lovers who want professional quality sounds. Not to mention the cables unplug from both ends of the headphones, so you can just replace the cable if it kinks - this is awesome, all headphones should have this feature!!!

Was waiting to write a review until I owned these for awhile. Bottom line great sounding headphone that's very lightweight without sacrificing anything. Great bass and treble and overall sound. Came with a cable/mic to make calls when on your iPhone.
