Great case if you liked your new iPhone scratched.

    • Written by from orlando

As a proud owner of all things Apple, i decided to go ahead and get the iPhone 5s case for my brand new iPhone 5s. You would think that all issues with other cases would seem to have have diminished for Apple, the designers of the phone forged this case, well that is what i thought, unfortunately i was incorrect. After only a few weeks of owning the case and having it sponsored on my beautiful iPhone i took it off to clean it with the microfiber cloth that had came with my macbook pro retina display. As i was cleaning i noticed little "specs" that appeared to be dirt surrounding the camera and flash area, i proceed to gently wipe them but nothing came off, its sad to say my new iPhones appearance has been soiled due to apples over priced, defective case.

Great case that works with thicker screen protectors

    • Written by from Ashburn

I had originally bought 2 other cases looking for good camera protection - InCase and an Element Case. Problem was that the cases would push up the Zagg glass screen protector that i had bought. I like the Zagg since it's truly optically clear and tough. Downside is it sticks up more than plastic screen protectors. So, i tried the Apple case and it's perfect in conjunction with the Zagg. It fits well, feels good, and is very slim. If it holds up over time I'll be a real believer. So far so good. The case attaches primarily via friction fit, so nothing protrudes above the phone sides. It looks elegantly simple and is reasonably priced.

    Great Case

I bought this case for my iPhone 5s and it looks and feels great. The suede inside protects my phone from scratches and the leather feels really good in my hand. The black looks great with the space grey iPhone. I will defiantly be picking up different colors for future uses. I'm glad to see Apple finally designed their own case for the iPhone.

I just bought my second case. I made the mistake of buying the nice baby blue case when I first got my iPhone 5S. I'm an extremely clean person and yet, somehow, the case became dirty within a few days. The case itself is pretty sturdy, although if you drop your phone hard, the leather will scrape off. The case fits tightly onto the phone which I like because I've had cases that bounce right off when the phone is dropped. My second case is black and I've had it for two weeks with no problems. It doesn't look dirty on black and I haven't dropped it yet so no wear and tear. This case is overly priced but it does look sleek. I am in the middle about this one. I guess if you have the extra money, then go ahead and buy this case. I've gotten many compliments on the look (thin and sleek) and feel (smooth touch) of the case.

    A Fantastic Case, Except For...

    • Written by from Dalhart

Any reviewer that does not acknowledge how incredibly well this case complements the premium feel of the iPhone 5S isn't doing it justice. It's the thinnest iPhone case you can find. It's as thin as is really possible for a full coverage case. The leather feels fantastic, ages decently well, and is protective enough if you're only a little clumsy. It really, really feels great.

Those are the reasons why I really miss this case. But I won't be buying another one.

    Here's why:

    1. The biggest problem for me. The earbud opening in the case won't let you use most third party headphones. Now, I don't know why headphone manufacturers make the plastic around the input jacks so clunky, but they do. Bose headphones, no. Cheap headphones from Amazon, no. Panasonic earbuds, no. Apple earbuds, yes. If you only plan on using Apple earbuds, or are willing to switch, go for it. Me, I lose earbuds like crazy so I buy the cheap ones and leave them everywhere. I couldn't use those.
    2. The leather ripped at the bottom around the speakers after just a couple of weeks, after removing the case to clean the phone. If you plan on removing the case on more than a monthly basis, I don't know if it's sturdy enough.
    3. The leather scuffs. All phone cases scuff, but this one shows it. Not a huge deal - definitely not a deal breaker. Scuffed or not, it still felt and looked great.
    4. The lip around the screen is just a little bit too shallow for me. If, for example, I drop the phone on asphalt face down, I'm not sure the lip is large enough to prevent a small pebble from scratching the screen. It's a tiny bit too much slimming around the screen, the only place where I want any bulk.

I got my case for my iPhone 5s, i got it in brown. I really loved it when i first got it but after a while the case stretched out and my phone slipped out of it easily. it also gets dirty very fast and has no drop protection whatsoever. But this is a good quality case.

By far the best slim case out there

    • Written by from Shelbyville

I have tried many of the slim cases on the market. Seidio use to be my favorite until this little jewel came along. fits perfectly, easy on and off but stays secure during a fall. great feel - a ever so slightly tacky feel, but smoooooth enough to slide in your pocket. LOVE IT.

Top Quality Product - Check out how to keep the leather clean longer!

    • Written by from Clinton

Oh I love the fit and feel of this case! I see so many complaints about how the leather gets dirty – It is, after all leather and a phone case, it’s going to get handled a lot. Anywho, my fix was to do as we do with our leather shoes...I sprayed the water/dirt resistant spray on it, gave it a couple of layers even. No, this does not make the cover “Lifeproof,” just giving the case a chance to last longer, you can wipe the dirt off without wearing down the leather AND it does not mess with the integrity of the leather. So far so good!

Not compatible with most 3rd party Accys

    • Written by from Chicago

This one star is for how I use the product. If I used only Apple accessories, I'd probably give it a 4-5 star review..but I use Bose headphones and with the exception of syncing my phone, I use Amazon Basics cords to charge my phone. This case does not allow you to use either. The holes are cut to use the Apple earbuds and lightning cables. I liked the case, the fit wasn't perfect, but it was good and it looks good. Will be returning.

    Great case overall

    • Written by from Calgary

I love this case! Worthy of the 5S, it doesn't ruin it's sleekness. I probably wouldn't have chosen it myself but my service provider gave me one for free. I 've had the light blue one for 2 months and haven't had any issues with grease stains etc. not sure what other people are touching their phones with. I don't mind the look of the leather wearing down a bit at all. I purchased the 30 pin adapter with the little bit of cord to attach to my car stereo cable and it fits the case fine. I only gave it 4 stars because I did have the case snap on the thin part the first time I tried to remove it. It didn't however ruin the case for me. You can't tell it's broken when it's on and it doesn't come loose or anything. That is my only complaint about this case. I would purchase it myself even for the steep $45 price (Canadian). Recommended.

    Couple of spots.

    • Written by

This is the best case that I would spend for $40. The only two complaints that I have for this case is basically dirt spots everywhere. If I were to keep the case on for at least 3 days, there would be spots on the back of my iPhone 5s that I didn't put on. The second dirt spot I would find is near the camera. There is always something in the camera shaped hole for the iPhone. I would have to take the case off and wipe the camera off a little. But overall, it's still an "ok" approved case for me.

Excellent craftsmanship. Fits my iPhone perfectly. Thick enough to protect it.
All you need is that apple logo on the back. Nothing else decorative — exactly what I want amongst those fancy cases!
    This is The case.

when I first bought the case, I loved how it fit like a glove on my brand new iPhone 5s; and it was a pretty funky color, too! but, as time has passed (maybe a month or so), my case has started getting really dingy looking. it seems to attract black dirt FAR TOO EASILY. now, instead of a brightly colored iPhone case, I have a dull pea-green soup-ish colored case.

it almost makes me wanna get a new one so that my phone wouldn't look so gross, but, I feel like that would be a waste of money unless it was in black, which almost defeats the purpose.

my boyfriend got the red one, and it's doing the same exact thing.

sorry guys, but, I don't think I would recommend this one.

    Elegant, slim, and understated.

    • Written by from New York

Yet, feels very cozy and natural to the touch, much like a Moleskine notebook. I love that this case is light. The tiny black plastic escutcheon surrounding the camera adds to the elegant appearance of the case as well as to its functionality by limiting lint accumulation around the camera. The black case is pretty gender-neutral. The screen is safely protected by the slightly raised front edge. The phone sits firmly in the case and there's just the right amount of space for the power and audio jacks. A nice visual touch is the exposed silver outline of the phone's side-band between the leather edge and the glass.

    Plus and Minus

    • Written by from Columbia

I have had this case for about 6 months. I really like the way it wraps around the phone. It feels like it should, tight. The buttons, for me were not an issue to press like other reviewers. It is a work of art (in Red). I buy anything red as I have had lots of family and friends get cancer. So, if you don't really need drop protection other than on carpet, this would be the case for you, as it really pops color-wise. So much for the plusses, now for the minuses.
All of the colors (even brown), get a nice black ring develop at the base of the case and all the way around the edge, so if I had it to do over, I would get black as black does not show this weakness (as its black). I don't care so much about the ring, but the women in my life want me to wash it, lol, like that is going to happen, NOPE. I can live with the yicky ring and the ladies in my life don't have to borrow my phone, which turns out to MAYBE be a plus? I hope this helps folks make an informed decision.

    Not Compatible with Bose Headphones

    • Written by from Hoboken

I loved the quality of this case when I first saw it. Purchased it and was so excited to get it on my phone. When I went to plug my Bose MIE2i in, they wouldn't fit with the case on. I then figured that my 2 year old headphones must be out-of-date so I bought QC20i from Bose and these don't work either. I just got off the phone with Bose and they told me that no model of their headphones will work with this iPhone case. Will be returning the case this week.

    Still deciding

    • Written by from Falls Church

I bought the teal version of this at the apple store a few weeks ago. It's cute and has a good feel, though a little slippery out of the box. Today, I took my phone out to clean something off, and discovered that part of inside of the case had come off onto the back of my phone. I live in an area where we're still experiencing winter weather, so it shouldn't be a heat-related task. I was able to wipe most of the residue off my phone, but I was surprised that an Apple-designed product would do that to my iPhone.

FINALLY...a case worthy of my iPhone 5

    • Written by from Chapel Hill

After getting my iPhone 5, I immediately went in search of a case. I'm a "normal" user, and don't intend to take my iPhone swimming, mountain biking, or going into battle. I just wanted a nice case that will reasonably protect my iPhone as I go about my day-to-day life. Side comment - I do not use a screen protector. The screen is "gorilla glass," and has stood up great during my first year of use.

Back to the search for a case. I'm embarrassed to say what I've spent searching for the ideal case. But I can say that I've now found the case that works for me. I've tried all the major brands...expensive, and cheap...thick ones...thin ones. I read all the reviews, talked to other iPhone users. And then I stumbled on this case in the Apple Store. No, it's not cheap. No, it's not "padded." But I love how it fits like a glove, I love how the leather feels and looks, I love the colors (I have black & red), and I love the quality. I've had this case for a good nine months, and the leather is showing the very slightest bit of wear, but that adds character. For me, this is head and shoulders above all the other cases I tried. If only I'd found this case on day one. Without question, when I get another iPhone...I will quickly go in search of this particular case. It works for me, and I don't hesitate to recommend it.
