    Ehhh...

    • Written by from Garden Grove

I just bought my second case. I made the mistake of buying the nice baby blue case when I first got my iPhone 5S. I'm an extremely clean person and yet, somehow, the case became dirty within a few days. The case itself is pretty sturdy, although if you drop your phone hard, the leather will scrape off. The case fits tightly onto the phone which I like because I've had cases that bounce right off when the phone is dropped. My second case is black and I've had it for two weeks with no problems. It doesn't look dirty on black and I haven't dropped it yet so no wear and tear. This case is overly priced but it does look sleek. I am in the middle about this one. I guess if you have the extra money, then go ahead and buy this case. I've gotten many compliments on the look (thin and sleek) and feel (smooth touch) of the case.

I got my case for my iPhone 5s, i got it in brown. I really loved it when i first got it but after a while the case stretched out and my phone slipped out of it easily. it also gets dirty very fast and has no drop protection whatsoever. But this is a good quality case.

    Couple of spots.

    • Written by

This is the best case that I would spend for $40. The only two complaints that I have for this case is basically dirt spots everywhere. If I were to keep the case on for at least 3 days, there would be spots on the back of my iPhone 5s that I didn't put on. The second dirt spot I would find is near the camera. There is always something in the camera shaped hole for the iPhone. I would have to take the case off and wipe the camera off a little. But overall, it's still an "ok" approved case for me.

    Not Compatible with Bose Headphones

    • Written by from Hoboken

I loved the quality of this case when I first saw it. Purchased it and was so excited to get it on my phone. When I went to plug my Bose MIE2i in, they wouldn't fit with the case on. I then figured that my 2 year old headphones must be out-of-date so I bought QC20i from Bose and these don't work either. I just got off the phone with Bose and they told me that no model of their headphones will work with this iPhone case. Will be returning the case this week.

    Still deciding

    • Written by from Falls Church

I bought the teal version of this at the apple store a few weeks ago. It's cute and has a good feel, though a little slippery out of the box. Today, I took my phone out to clean something off, and discovered that part of inside of the case had come off onto the back of my phone. I live in an area where we're still experiencing winter weather, so it shouldn't be a heat-related task. I was able to wipe most of the residue off my phone, but I was surprised that an Apple-designed product would do that to my iPhone.

    Dirt Magnet

    • Written by from Hyderabad

I bought a Blue Leather Case for my iPhone 5. The Leather Case feels and looks good. The drop protection level is also quiet good. I am careful about where I place the phone and handle the iPhone with care. I have used the case for ten days and it looks like some cheap over the counter iPhone case, mainly because of dirt adhered to the case. Due to matte suede finish the case, it tends to attract dirt at a very fast pace. Apple should certainly attend to this issue.

    iPhone 5s Case

    • Written by from Calumet

After trying several cases for my iPhone 5 (this case fits the original 5 perfectly) I finally ended up with this one. I got the black color, and I'd have to say it looks great, fits perfectly, and is exactly what I wanted. It shows off the thinness of the phone, but has enough of a lip to protect the screen if you lay it face down. My only complaint is this: I bought the red case for my girlfriend, and it immediately got quite dirty; it shows staining and dirt more than any other case I've seen. I tried using some leather cleaner on it which helped somewhat, but it is still quite dirty around the edges. If you're going to get this case, get the black one.

Nice feeling case, terrible button access

    • Written by from Pinckney

I love the slim design of the case and the leather is a great feel. I've had the case on since release and the leather is aging nicely. The biggest issue for me is the feeling of the buttons. The volume buttons work ok, still have a little movement in them but the lock button feels completely smashed in the case. The lock button is to the point where you really have to press hard to get it to press and you can't feel the click at all so you have to look at the phone to make sure it really pressed. Wish the case had moveable aluminum button extensions like the iPhone 4/4S Apple bumper. Then this would be a 5 star case and well worth the price. When this one wears out, I'll be looking for an after market.

    Apple case iphone 5s red

    • Written by from Bishan

Without a doubt very nice case. I've spent nearly 500+ over just on cases and apple has made on of the greatest.
I only have two problem with the case.
It does not fit perfectly.. With the side like loose.
And it gets dirty veryyyyyyy easily. Only three days and my red case is become black. I take very good care of it. I try to clean it off but no luck.

I would recommend you guys getting a dark colored one .

    So-so

    • Written by from Austin

    Pros:

    * Feels great in the hand.
    * Leather looks great in black.
    * Speaker holes in bottom speak to attention to detail.

    Cons:

    * Really have to press the power button to get it to register.
    * Audio on/off switch is hard to reach.
    * Lightning cable not accessible with docks (I don't use one but if I did I'd be annoyed).
    * Leather does not feel "genuine". It actually sorta feels like a high end plastic.

Not sure I would recommend it.

nice but gets dirty real easily

    • Written by from ROYAL OAK

Let me start by saying I'm really careful with my phones. I had a 4s for almsot two years and it was in perfect condition. I got a 5S and bought the leather case in beige. Love the color, fits well, snug but not too much so. My beef is that it gets dirty SO easily. I specifically got a lighter color so that i can easily find it in my purse. I take a medication that can sometimes stain things, and even though I picked up my phone a while after I touched my medication it still stained the cover and it won't come out. Really disappointed. I got the cover on September 20 and as of today 10/31 it's got stains all over it that won't come out.

    Great case, works poorly

    • Written by from MANHATTAN BEACH

Just like most everyone else, I really like the look and feel of this case. It's already saved my spankin new 5S from a drop.

But the big problem is that the jacks don't fit non-standard Apple straight headphones (I have a rockin' Bose pair that has a bent head) or the Apple power lightning adaptor. Major fail especially on products, like the adaptor, that Apple makes.

Still worth it though the wear and tear from taking it off and on to use headphones or charge it is starting to show. And boy am I glad about buying a black one since so many are having issues with lighter models.

    apple accessories only

    • Written by from Chicago

If you have any non apple accessories this case wont work. The bottom holes are so tight that any non apple headphones wont fit. I've got a pair of Bose MIE2i headphones that can't be plugged in. Also no third party lightening cords (ie amazon basics) will fit.

Otherwise, its real leather, and the case looks pretty sharp but no 3rd part accessories is a deal breaker for me.

    Great Fit--but looks awful!

    • Written by from groveland

I am a compulsive case shopper so I have had many cases for my iphone 5. I was so excited to purchase this product because I figured it would fit much better due to the fact Apple produced it. That, at least I was right about. I love the way it fits!

The problem is how well the leather looks after some use. I purchased the red case and within days it looked old and grungy. All the oils from your hands leave black marks on the edges and sides and all over the back where you would typically hold the phone.

I know its supposed to look better with age, but I am guessing it will just look like I should buy a new case! Maybe the black one holds up better.

Looks nice but stains very easily

    • Written by from Cambridge

I got the beige one. I stained it within the first 3 hours of having my new iphone and I am not a generally messy person. The leather takes up stains very quickly and they are impossible to get out.

In black, it might work better because it hides staines, but I would not get a light color.

Im returning it and getting a black leather case that holds a credit card at the same time.

Great case - leather stains QUICKLY

    • Written by from Sherman Oaks

My first impressions were that this was easily the best case I'd bought for an iPhone. Real leather, covers every inch it needs to with precision, felt like butter in my hands.

Which brings me to the downside...unsealed leather takes in oils, like skin oil. I bought the brown because it looked the sharpest. 10 days later, I brought it back to the apple store for a black one because the brown had sullied so bad it looked like the case was 2 years old. IN 10 DAYS. It just absorbed every nanoliter of oil from my hands and there's no way to clean it off. It's inside the leather.

So...beware of any light colored version of this case. It will age in microseconds.

    Its ok, for now.

    • Written by from LAWNDALE

I had my case for a week and hadn't taken it off my iPhone 5. Today I wanted to clean my phone because I noticed dust was getting on the side of the screen. I took it off the way people had recommended (right side first). It was easy enough, but then I noticed that the case split on the small area above the headphone jack cutout. Something so simple as removing a case ended with it breaking immediately. Luckily, the employee at the Apple Store understood and gave me a completely new one in the box. The reason I'm rating it low is due to the fact that it took so little effort to break a case that is supposed to protect your $199-$399 phone. It makes me think how long this case will even last. Thank goodness for the 1 Year Accessory Warranty.

    Overpriced

    • Written by from Minot

The case to me seems cheaply designed...it does have a nice leather finish but something feels off. When I took it out of the package I thought it felt very flimsy and light...not something I feel will protect my phone significantly.

Also the black case in the picture the apple has a slight grey tone...however when I got mine it was all black and the apple just blends in....deceiving and I'm quite disappointed with that as I think it'd stick out more as an apple case and not a random one.

Alright case, but still like my Incase Slider better

    • Written by from NOTTINGHAM

I bought a black case the day they were available, thinking I may have found a case I like even more than my Incase slider but that wasn't the case. Here are my complaints about the iPhone leather case that will keep my using my Incase:

1.) The power button is actually difficult to press with the piece of leather covering it.
2.) The case is slippery and didn't make the phone feel secure in my hand.
3.) The corners of the case barely go past the screen, which left me uneasy with placing my phone face down.
4.) The case doesn't really balance on it's side or standing up when in use. This is maybe a small complaint, but I do actually stand my phone up quite a bit, and the Incase Slider does a really good job of this.

I think this case is a nice option, but there is no doubt that I enjoy my other case more than this one, so it will be returned.

    Nice but with flaw

    • Written by from Lakewood

This is a nice leather case, albeit pricey. One major flaw is that with the case, the power button does not have a nice feedback. I think this is a pretty major design flaw on Apple's part.
