    I think the charger is good because it is reversible but also its a pain because you can't use the same charger of some of your other devices. It also breaks down easily especially the cord.

    My iPhone 5 charger stopped working within a month of purchasing the phone. I received a new one under warranty but now the replacement has stopped working as well. If I could give this product 0 stars, I would. I am very disappointed in the design and subsequent failure of the product. I had my iPhone 4 for years and never had to replace the charger. Something needs to be done about this serious lack of quality control.

    Is very expensive for it's durability
    The cable is simply disposable.
    You will use it for no longer then 4 or 5 months and you are done... It just stops working.

    Needs work

    This charger cable lasted for the past eight months without a problem until today when completely stopped working. This cord is very fragile and I suggest keeping the cord as straight as possible and don't twist it as well or else you'll have to buy a new one like I do.

    Disappointed

    I'm very upset with apple. In 3 months I had 5 different cables that stopped working unexpectedly.
    The cable is extremely fragile and expensive.
    I' m feeling cheated
    I'm selling my iphone 5 because of that

    I have had so many cables stop working on me, and at a minimum of $21 each they are not cheap to replace. Come on Apple, we expect higher quality from you!

    Break too much!

    I have had this phone for 5 months now and I have now gone through 12 of these cables. I love that you can plug it in either way, but the cable just likes to stop charging my phone and the phone states "cable incompatible" and I have purchased each one of these cables at a retail store in apple packaging, so I know they are not knock offs! Very disappointed. Wish apple would just start giving them away so I don't have to waste any more money with them...If this continues, im going to have to switch to a droid...

    Drawing too much power

    I have two Iphone lightning cables that are roughly one year old and they both will not connect to my 'Imac'! Every time i connect my Iphone using the cables it comes up with a notification saying that it is drawing too much power and disconnects it, what is even more frustrating is that i am using the most recent model of the Imac. I have read around and i think the best option is to buy a new cable, more money gone.....

    Waste of money

    Don't waste your money on Apple products. I can't even count how many chargers I've gone through in less than a year as they keeping breaking every few months. This is really disappointing. If you can't even play on your device just because the company produces some flimsy pieces of wire and calls it a charger then you might as well switch to being a customer of another company. Pretty sure there are others out there who provide better products that will keep you satisfied. I'll be switching over soon if Apple doesn't keep its game up.

    Worst Cable Ever I got

    I should not rate this one even one star.I have tried two these. One is completely damaged and not working at all. No physical damage at all. The other one which i borrowed from my sister just start tearing down near charging pin. Its so frustrating and when I went to store they said its out of warranty and I have to buy a new one which is almost $20. Can you make a better cable that can last little bit longer. I thought Apple Makes better and long lasting Product and not piece of trash. You are loosing my Loyalty.

    So disappointed in this cord....

    Huge fan of Apple products so I am totally bewildered that this product would be so defective. We have two ipod touches in the family and both cords have stopped working. Never experienced this before. First one just stopped charging for no reason, the second shorted, shredded the cord and shocked my daughter. It's a disgrace if Apple doesn't redesign this product and allow for free exchanges.

    The only Apple cable that I've had a problem with

    My family has a countless number of Apple devices, and I've had the iPhone 5 for over a year now. The new cable was working perfectly fine throughout the year, however around November 2013 I noticed that the top of the cable was starting to tear. I tried to do my best and tape it together, however the plastic material that encases the inner wires continued to disintegrate. Hope Apple steps up the quality and length of their cables! My family has spent thousands of dollars on Apple products and we would appreciate basic things like charging cables not to break down on us!

    Garbage

    I have had three of these break on me in just over a year. They are blatantly designed to fail. For $20 it should last me at least a year. I've had to apply shrink tubing to make these last ... (I don't buy Apple brand cables anymore)

    I'm still using the cord that came with my iPhone 5 over a year ago. Hasn't broken or stopped working, so I'm not sure why all the negative comments. Works fine, seems durable. I give it a thumbs up.

    I am shocked at the poor quality of this cable. I have been through at least 7 or 8 and I have had my iPhone for a little over a year. I do not excessively twist or put stress on the cable, so I have found that no matter how gentle or careful I am with this cord, it lasts an average of 2-3 weeks before it stops working completely. If this continues and I end up spending more money on these cables than on the actual phone itself, I am going to have to find myself a different phone with chargers of a higher quality.

    Can I rate this 0 stars!? This is the 7th cord i've gone through in a year, it even burnt the insides of my new phone so they already replaced it with a new one! Thank god it didn't start a fire! I don't get why apple isn't fixing this SERIOUS problem.... THIS IS STUPID already apple.

    Horribly designed. Mine broke within 6 months of buying my iPhone 5. Everyone I know who has the iPhone 5 has had their charger break within this time period of regular use. This is ridiculous.

    Third cord already!

    This is the third cord I've ordered for my daughter's iphone 5 in six months. She was convinced that something was wrong with her phone that it was breaking all of the cords, but now that I see the other reviews, I see that we are not alone. With all of this negative feedback, I can't believe that Apple hasn't tackled this and fixed it yet. I think we should all get free cords.

    An awful product
