    I only had it for two weeks and it broke I am very disappointed in this product when I got it I was unplugging it and the wires cam right out it I do not reccomend

    Why I no longer want an iPHONE

    I have always loved the stability of Apple products, so when the opportunity for me to purchase my first product came, I wasn't cheap about it. I bought the iPHONE 5s and to my shock and awe, it did not come with a charger. WHAT THE WHAT?? So I bought one separately at the AT&T store. God help me if I haven't had to buy 8 more lightening cables since then. To make matters worse, whether they are Apple certified or not, they all have stopped working. 4 Apple certified and 4 noncertified cables since January 17th of 2014. I can't take it anymore. I am leaving Apple very soon and switching back to a brand that doesn't require me to add charger cable to my grocery list every month.

    POOR QUALITY Lightning USB cable

    For years I have purchased many apple products to include iPods, iPads, iPhones, mac book and even an iMac. Every single Apple portable device USB power cable falls apart. I have many friends and family co workers and they all agree the cables are very poorly made and in many cases the cable sheathing wears out or bunches up and eventually you end up with a wire with sheathing peeled back and metal wires exposed which will eventually not be usable. I have had to replace at least 15 Apple USB charging cables for various Apple devices over the years at approximately $20 bucks a pipit adds up. ITS RIDICULOUS I purchase the iPhone 5S and already the cable is frayed and unusable. SO I BEG YOU APPLE DEVICE ENGINEERS AND DEVELOPMENT TEAMS FIX THE POOR QUALITY CABLES SUPPLIED WITH YOUR GENIUS DEVICES!!

    When you see an Apple product you think it would be high quality. The lightning charging cord however is unbelievably horrible. Looks slick but does not last more than a month. On my 9th cord right now.

    Apple should do better

    My charger stopped working after 4-5 months of regular use. I bought a replacement but not from Apple because even if the cheap charger stops working in a few months at least I didn't break the bank. Apple really needs to step up the quality and stop forcing people to shell out even more money for their products.

    These lightning cables do not last long. They stop working after about 3 months, cable end either breaks or just don't work anymore. I have already purchased 4 lightning cables in the last 8 months (1M, 0.5 M, 2M), all have the same issue, poor quality. These cables are costly, $20, and 2M is $30, but it does not mean that they are good. I have old iPhones cables which still good for 3-4 and more years. This Lightning to USB Cable should be recalled and re-designed.

    I have had to buy several of the chargers which are constantly breaking. We should be allowed free replacements rather than having to pay more, unreasonable amounts of money! I really do hope Apple step up with a stronger, new design for the next chargers.

    I know many people are very dissapointed with the new chargers apple has sold. I have foun that most of the complaints are probably due to the customers straining the chord (basically tugging on it so hard that the a problem with the wires occurs). A week ago I looked up on the internet how to fix this problem. It literally takes 5 minutes and can be done with household products. Just wanted everyone to know!

    I want my cable for free after terrible experience!

    Apple produces great items but this cable is not one of them; it seems to be a cheap Chinese knock-off but it came in the box with my iPhone 5. I expect Apple to step up and start replacing this failing item with new (an better quality) cables for free. We are the customers and we deserve respect and we need to start getting what we pay for.

    Poor Quality - Died after 3 months even while looked after :(

    Love the phone, hate trying to charge it with these horribly made cables. My cable died after 3 months and i had even been trying to take care of it cause i knew how flimsy they are. Apple should be replacing these free of charge rather then charging over 20$ a pop for a cable!!

    Great experience with this cable.

    Used this cable for about six months in various applications. From the car to USB hotspot to charging next to the bed. All work with no problem. This is an original Apple cable, although expensive, has worked well. Confused about the bad reviews based on my experience.
    Will be buying another one just for the car.

    3 original Apple cables have gone bad in last 2 weeks! Overpriced junk!

    After about 6 months of use, we have had 3 of these cables go bad in the last two weeks. They tend to develop a kink in the cable on the 8-pin end right where the cable goes into the stiffer plastic connector and no longer will allow charging. Yes, we have kids using these less gently than an adult would for their iPads and a phone, but we never had these problems with the old 30-pin connectors. These are overpriced junk!

    A lot of people have written reviews trashing this lightning connector cable. But I have seen dozens of ads for these cables from a number of places claiming that they are Apple cables, when in fact, they may not be. So if you write a review, please state if the cable in question came with your phone, sealed in the box, or was bought from an Apple authorized reseller or an Apple store. The fakes I'm seeing are even packaged in official looking Apple logo boxes. We need to know for sure whose cable is really getting reviewed! I've given a somewhat arbitrary five star because you have to pick a rating. However, it's fair to say I've had no trouble at all with the cable that came with my phone, which was sealed in the box with my 5S.

    Well apple, im about to order my 4th lighting cord... heres the kicker, my phone is just shy a year old! Not impressed!!! Not even sure what im supposed to say here!!!thats really all I have to say! So sick of the short lifespanof your chsrgers.

    Horrible Charger

    I have owned many apple products and chargers and have never had to replace them. This Lightning charger I have only been using for like 3 months and it is already broken. They also get you by making it impossible to use other chargers. Apple store hours are horrible because you usually find out that the charger is broken at night. I will NEVER buy another apple product if it has the lightning charger. I will switch and buy an android before I buy another Apple product with a lightning charger. Very disappointed.

    We have a few iPads and iPhones at home. The charger cable has broken for all my devices. We all fight over the last cable that is still working. Don't remember how many of these stupid wires I've purchased. They all beak with regular use. My blackberry cable from way back in the days still works. My kids still use it for the PS3. Ridiculous!!!!!
