    Great fit and sound!

    • Written by from Sandpoint

The headphones that come with the iPhone, both the old and new style, just don't fit my ears. I have small ear canals and the standard earphones press against the cartilage, making it really sore after a relatively short time. I bought these about three years ago and just love them. Yes, the tips can come off easily if you're not careful. I have almost lost them. But knowing that, I'm more careful when I take them out or put them in my pocket. The sound is great. Nobody ever realizes I'm talking on headphones when I take phone calls. The only time I have had a problem with them has been when I have handled them roughly or let them bang against something. The one time I did that, one side had no sound. I took the top off, and made sure the actual speaker part was not damaged. I tapped on it and it worked perfectly after that. I have had no problems besides that, and when these wear out, I will probably get another pair. I do wish they weren't so expensive, and I have heard that there are other brands that work as well and are half the price, but based on my experience with these, I'll probably buy them again. I wear these every day, twice a day, as I commute to and from work on my bike, and all summer long while mowing, so they get lots of use and have held up really well.

Very good detail, separation, bass clean but a bit lacking

    • Written by from Ottawa

These are the most detailed in ears I have ever purchased.

Treble: Very detailed, forward, airy sounding. Verges on harshness, but just barely passes for silkiness. Makes voices sound very emotional.

Midrange: Not overly pronounced, but very well separated. Does not sound muddy at all and very comfortable to listen to. MUCH cleaner than that of the EarPods.

Bass: Quite recessed, but extends much more deeply than say, the EarPods. Won't satisfy a basshead, but it's there. The bass is very tight, not boomy, which will disappoint some and sounds awful on public transportation. Lack of bass does make music sound slightly like it lacks soul.

Soundstage: Being IEMs, soundstage is poor and narrow. Earpods have better soundstage.

Comfort: These are fairly comfortable, although the included tips may not grip very well. Sony Hybrid tips fit well. The dual balanced armature design is very small, meaning the actual hard plastic part will not get in the way.

Noise Isolation: Not the best, but it's there. Cable does transmit significant amounts of noise.

Overall: Very impressed. If you're looking for detail, clarity, and separation at an affordable price, look no further. If you're looking for bone-rattling bass, look elsewhere. The EarPods do have better soundstage and mid-bass, but are lacking in clarity, midrange, treble, isolation, and sub-bass.

    No replacement rubber pieces

    • Written by from London

I was disappointed to find out that there is no replacement available for the rubber pieces. If you loose one (and they detach very easily) you just lost $79. (It does come with two extra sets, but they are different sizes, so when you loose the one of the size that is right for you, the headphones become useless).

Apart from that, they are not particularly comfortable or great quality. I don't recommend them.

    Good sound NOT user friendly

    • Written by from Ottawa

I lost the rubber pieces VERY easily just from pull the headphone out of my ear. Lost all spares with in the year. Had to resort to superglueing them on.., even then the rubber part still came off. Switched to 35$ apple ones.., same good sound quality with no trouble associated. Very disappointed I spent 90$+ on the "better" pair.

    PUT IT OUT OF SALE!!!!!!

    • Written by from 上海

This product is really really bad comparing to new apple ear pods, I think this is not fair selling them for higher price then the new ear pods and cheating buyers with higher expectations, not letting buyers to listen and compare before !!!! Put them out of sale!!!! Ugh!

I was very happy with these and they were quite comfortable but once the ear piece falls off it's off for good. I have no idea if they can be replaced. If they can't I have wasted my money

Good Earphone, But need some improvement.

    • Written by from New York

This earphone has a good sound, stylish, comfortable. But I think Apple should improve bass, build quality, and, more durable.

Before I was excited about have a $80 dollars headphones instead the cheap ones ($30) but when I tried them I knew I wasted my money.. The sound is simply horrible because there is NO BASS, nothing!! Tried several configurations but nothing work.. I gave them to my 5 years old sister.

So you'd better buy the $30 apple headphones, are much better!

    Buyer beware!!

    • Written by from Staten Island

I bought 4 pairs of these headphones in November, and now in March, none of them work; barely any sound is audible through the headphones. For $29 + tax, I would never buy Apple headphones again!

    Silicon Earbuds Are The Problem

    • Written by from North Potomac

I am on my second pair of the Apple In-Ear Headphones. I'm very happy with the sound quality/price I paid. The problem with the silicon buds manifest itself after about one year of use. The silicon buds will come off with minimal friction as I remove the buds from my pocket. The silicon buds just slide on instead of screwing on the shaft of the ear cylinder. Since Apple doesn't sell replacement silicon buds I can't recommend these earphones.

    Could use some improvement

    • Written by from Hinton

The sound i get out of the headphones are great for phone calls which I use them for, however one of the ear buds stopped outputting sound soon after I purchased , which was saddening for the price I payed. I suggest that apple spends some money in researching how to make their products more durable.

    Good Sound; Fall Apart

    • Written by from milford

I really liked the fit and sound of the ear phones. However, the tips come off easily, making it problematic to keep things together. I bought a replacement set once I lost all the ear buds on the first set, but the same thing happened again, so I've given up.

Your earpieces are seriously rubbish. No noise isolation, flat bass. Bad high notes. To put it simply ALL your earpieces sark. Don't bother selling anymore of this trash ever. Thank you for your time.

    Very Fragile

    • Written by from Carp

Bought these less than two months ago, and while they give good sound - they break so easily! Now only one of the earbuds is working, and it's "crackling". Not worth the money at all, wish I hadn't lost the receipt.

    Good with aftermarket foam tips

    • Written by from Boston

I'm not a big fan of default silicone tips, but large aftermarket foam tips are just perfect. I'd rate these headphones on par with dynamic HiFiMan RE-262, and a remote/mic is a nice bonus. Used extensively with HM602/Cowon D2/Macbook Pro/iPad 2-3 etc. Sound is somewhat similar to Audio Technica EM-9r.

Price/Performance ratio - well above average, especially compared to high-end IEM earphones.

A big minus is a flimsy remote/mic part and cable not being rigid enough. That's compensated by insanely good Apple service in US/UK/Ireland and their replacement policies in those countries.
