The earbuds just don't fall off! Good pair, little pricy for what you get.

    • Written by from Ponte Vedra Beach

I hate to hear people say the earbuds fall off of their ears. That's because they don't know how do wear them or they have never tried inear earbuds before. I have been wearing inear headphones for four years now. Till this day there has been no problem of earbuds falling off of my ears. Because I try all sizes of earbuds and go for the right size. And these Apple inear headphones earbuds just don't fall off. They are really comfortable and air tight if you choose the right size. I have bought a dozen of inear headphones in recent years.
I am not particularly impressed for the sound I get for the price I paid. Maybe because I tried Shure SE425 right before trying these for the first time or they haven't burned in yet. Still it's a decent pair. I've had klipsch Image S4 a few years back and they sounded slightly better than these. Because I suppose they were tuned to sound wonderful regardless what a music is supposed to sound when it was made. Just like Bose headphones adds 'fake but good' sound I heard. My AKG K77 I bought to practice guitar sounds better than this, too. Cause it has different specs, it's made for a different purpose. But these Apple inears sounds good for they give original sound I think. I bought them because they are the most affordable dual driver headphones. Design wise it's perfect, two drivers to fit in in such a tiny little thing. Other headphones have unnecessary shapes that I hate. I think these are good but little pricy for the sound. If you don't care for the dual drivers, go for the Klipsch Image S4, it was chosen as the best affordable in-ear headphones by CNet. Otherwise Apple in-ears are very nice, too.
Again, the earbuds just don't fall off. NO, THEY DONT!

    Second Pair - Very Satisfied!

    • Written by from Richardson

I see many of the mediocre reviews, but having used these headphones for two to three years and now buying a new pair, I think these are great. I've always felt the bass is good and the overall sound quality is high. You just have to make sure they fit snugly into you ear and get "seated" which takes a few extra seconds when putting them on. Once there, you're all set!

Remote is great; sound not so much

    • Written by from Los Gatos

These are great if your audio is limited to mono conference calls with your boss. If you're interested in listening to much on these things, make sure it's not rap, as there is 0% bass. The remote is awesome, enabling you to shuffle through your music (sorry, conference calls) quickly.

They sound tinny, shrill, and way too bright for anything other than Brian Eno or EDM. Into dubstep? Do NOT buy these headphones.

It's a good headphone but Apple is not making headphones as their main thing so I suggest going with the Apple EarPods their are extremely great sounding headphones I have ever seen and it's just $30.But,if you like In-Ear Headphones go with the others or take this one.

Decent performance and great ergonomics but not for audiophiles

    • Written by from Huntington Park

These in-ear headphones are great. They do a great job at canceling out outside noise and while still providing crisp and clear audio. However, they lack range in bass. They are a comfortable fit and if they seem to be of great quality, but we'll see how long they last. They are worth a look if you're looking for headphones that are a comfortable fit, lightweight, and want outside noise canceling. When I blast these headphones I'm able to completely isolate myself from the outside world and the best part is nobody knows what I'm listening too. There is minimal sound leak which make them perfect for use in quiet areas. I'm a college student and think they are worth it if it fits these needs, but if you're looking for the best sound with rich deep bass, then you should look elsewhere, but at this price range, you'll be hard pressed to find similar headphones with this kind of sound quality and beautiful ergonomics.

Fantastic sound from some tiny, subtle earbuds

    • Written by from Kent

These headphones sound fantastic. You don't need to be a pretentious audiophile to notice the difference between listening to music with these headphones and Apple's EarPods, the older earphones, and a lot of non-Apple headphones. Everything sounds great and, just as advertised, you'll notice aspects of your music you hadn't before. I did, anyway! Ambient noise cancellation is great, on top of all that. I can easily get lost in my music on the bus, at work, or just outside.

As pointed out by other reviewers, getting a good fit with the silicone tips is crucial to enjoying these headphones. The mediums that came attached are too big for me. I could barely get a seal, it was uncomfortable at best, and they fell out very easily. The large ones didn't work out either, but I found the small ones fit my ears great. The right earbud will sometimes slip out of my ear, though, if I'm messing with the control buttons built into the microphone or moving around. Still, mic and controls are just like the ones on the EarPods and it's definitely convenient.

If you're on the fence, I'd say go for it! Try all the silicone tips out, in both ears separately, and I bet you'll find a good fit for your ears. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music and I've been impressed every time I use these, across a pretty diverse range of genres.

In detail, but sound field is weird.

    • Written by from muncie

This is a pair of good in-ear headphone. Light weight, well designed, comfortable. This is one of the cheapest two unit in-ear headphone that you can get now. The sound is good in detail and balanced. But the sound field is weird; it shapes like a triangle, listener is like near one of the corner. At the same time, the voice may sound thinner than studio-level monitor headphones. But in general, it is a pair of good in-ear headphone that goes with any mobile devices.

    Nonsense Ear Phones.

    • Written by from Pune

Really I don't know why Apple making this kind of nonsense ear phones. Always left ear bud is sticking inside ear. When I pulled ear phone out of my ear, ear bud is staying inside ear only.

Please go for Bose ear phones.

P.S: Please DO NOT purchase. Go for BOSE.

Very satisfied for the price I paid -- Better than $150 Bose, etc.

    • Written by from Cedar Park

Just got my iPhone5s. Ear pod that comes with the phone is good but not for workout. I bought and returned 3 pairs of high-end ear buds (Bose, and others) but none of them worked for me.

This pair did it for me. For the price I paid you can't go wrong. Yes it has lack of bass but it's not that bad. Excellent sound clarity and it stays in your ear. I highly recommend it.

    Cheap plastic

    • Written by from Milano

The sound is quite good but the material is so cheap that within the first year of usage you will loose the volume rocker/play/pause/mic functions, all cable junctions will expose, in-ear caps become yellow soon and it's easy to loose them!

    Best In-ear headphones... But...

    • Written by from Atwater

I thought these were the best in-ear headphones and still do, but, the silicone tips fall out too easily and you end up losing em. Did I mention they don't sell replacement tips? I'd give 4 stars. They need tighter silicone tips but they have great sound.

    Good - when they work

    • Written by from WINNIPEG

Fitted snugly in your ears, these phones deliver very fine quality sound. But if, like me, your ears and the three ear bud sizes are less than a perfect fit, you can find these popping out all too easily unless you're listening while comatose. Probably this is a generic problem with in-ear headphones of any brand. What's prompted me to write this review is early failure of these expensive phones.

First failure: about three years into my use of them, the remote stopped communicating with their device - my second generation iPod Touch. No more convenient remote-controlling of volume, pausing, fast-forwarding, skipping etc. I also began having random events where songs started skipping automatically, as often as every 5 or 10 seconds. Phooey.

Second failure: Yesterday - hey, what happened to the left channel? Today - it's still not there, whether plugged into the iPod or (to troubleshoot) my Macbook.

So, after just ~3.5 years of moderate use, these phones appear to be toast, which, come to think of it, is pretty much what my 2nd gen iPod Touch is becoming, thanks to its orphaned version of iOS.

Bad! DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT buy these

    • Written by from Weymouth

I bought these a few months ago because they looked really good and thought they might be better than the ear pods that come free with iPhones. Man was I wrong. The speaker on the left blew out within a couple weeks and I had to use one of the replacements that come with. The ear tips keep popping off like crazy. They give you replacement ones for those as well and I went through all but one of those. Then, the cord itself frayed and exposed the wires.

Needless to say, I went back to the ones that come free. Those are way better.

    Great headphones, have lasted well

    • Written by from Melbourne

I've had these headphones since early 2012, bought them on a friends recommendation and I loved the isolation and sound quality. I have had numerous other in-ear sealing headphones, including Sony noise-cancelling and expensive Etymotic headphones. I have found these the most comfortable and easy to wear for long periods, with an easy tonal balance and range that doesn't tire your ears out.

I'm buying a second pair for work now, because they have just the right amount of isolation for reading in the office.

Beautiful sound, bad plugs (for my ears anyway)

    • Written by from Reading

I've tried all 3 plug sizes and they just won't create a seal unless I ram them in and that's just uncomfortable. And even then the M/L sizes bounce out from even even the slightest movement while the small ones don't create a seal at all. I can wear them comfortably but then it doesn't make a proper seal and the sound ends up sounding tinny because of it.

That said, the sound quality is excellent when you can wear them properly. Just disappointed that you have to buy your own plugs for a pair of headphones that cost this much.

more comfortable than the standard 'buds, but lacking in sound quality

    • Written by from BERKELEY

bought these when i lost the original buds that came with my iPhone thinking they would sound better, and i did find them somewhat more comfortable than the stock units. however, i found the sound quality so tinny and seriously lacking on the low end that in less than 20 seconds they were on their way back to the store.

these don't sound any better than the freebies they give away at my office; very disappointing!

    Not Good

Best in-ear for price if used with Comply foam

I have tried many different in-ear headphones, but I keep coming back to these as long as I have use the Comply foam plugs instead of the ones from apple. Comply makes all the difference in the world.
