    Good with aftermarket foam tips

    • Written by from Boston

I'm not a big fan of default silicone tips, but large aftermarket foam tips are just perfect. I'd rate these headphones on par with dynamic HiFiMan RE-262, and a remote/mic is a nice bonus. Used extensively with HM602/Cowon D2/Macbook Pro/iPad 2-3 etc. Sound is somewhat similar to Audio Technica EM-9r.

Price/Performance ratio - well above average, especially compared to high-end IEM earphones.

A big minus is a flimsy remote/mic part and cable not being rigid enough. That's compensated by insanely good Apple service in US/UK/Ireland and their replacement policies in those countries.

    DONT BUY !

Useless purchase - pops out of my ear every few minutes because of the rubber padding. Try it for your ear before you get it... so disappointed. :(

sound is good, but ear piece keeps falling off

    • Written by from Edgewater

and typical apple, you can't just buy a replacement of the ear piece, but you'll have to spend the whole $75 again for buying the whole headphone again ... would rather go for something that doesn't have an ear piece

    Buyer beware!!

    • Written by from Staten Island

I bought 4 pairs of these headphones in November, and now in March, none of them work; barely any sound is audible through the headphones. For $29 + tax, I would never buy Apple headphones again!

    Poor sounds quality, poor construction

    • Written by from Miami

I bought these because I didn't like the EarPods that came with my iPhone 5. The EarPods would not stay in my ears. The In-Ear headphones stayed in ok, but the sound quality was poor - weak to none existent bass. Then about 3 weeks after receiving them, the left earphone stopped working.

I love the sound (and I'm a professional musician)

    • Written by from NEW YORK

Love the fit and the sound. Most earbuds are too big for my ears, painful to wear. The sound is great. I have no idea why people say the silicon buds fall off, I've never had that experience and I wear them a LOT. Maybe they chose the wrong size out of the three that come with the earphones? Just a guess.

    Apple In-Ear Headphones

    • Written by from Bethel

I bought these headphones about a week ago as a treat to myself. I will admit these headphones do a horrible job at making a good first impression. My advice? Be patient. The first mistake I found myself making was using the incorrect size of earbuds. I recommend you sit sown make a playlist of your favorite tunes. Load your playlist into you iPod/Phone, and start experimenting/sizing the perfect ear bud cap size. At first, I thought that I was a small, after a few days later I was ready to just give up and return them. I decided to do a resize and tried the medium size caps. Best decision of my life. The sound quality improved so much. You might think you have the right cap size on and that these head phones are being stupid, but give it a second try after a bit of use and you'll see you were wrong the entire time. One thing to really keep in mind is, these headphones tend to be quite honest in delivering sound. What I mean is, forget about the fake boomy basses. You won't get that out of these headphones. As for Apple, you lost a start for quality. They feel flimsy and fragile. Other than that, GREAT product!

    Seriously?

    • Written by from singapore

Your earpieces are seriously rubbish. No noise isolation, flat bass. Bad high notes. To put it simply ALL your earpieces sark. Don't bother selling anymore of this trash ever. Thank you for your time.

Not as good as the old ones

    • Written by from Hobart

Honestly, the best ear buds I ever owned came with my 2007 iPod (classic). The "redesigned" ones that came with my iPhone 4S did not fit my ears as well as the original ones and these again redesigned ear buds are not as good (fit wise) as the other two. The more they tried to improve them, the worse the fit got.

    No replacement tips

    • Written by from Cambridge

These headphones are great except for one issue: The silicon ear tips come off very easily and Apple will not sell you a replacement set. Unfortunately once you lose one of the set that fits you this product is utterly useless unless you buy a whole new set for another $80. The lack of replacement parts is a glaring oversight.

    very unhappy

    • Written by from Carlisle

The plug broke off in my iPad and could not be removed. Because it was deemed to be physical damage to the iPad (less than a year old), the warranty did not cover damage to the iPad.

Earphones no longer useable, and iPad destroyed, no thanks to Apple.

Last 6 months, Apple will not replace them

    • Written by from Reston

Despite the excellent sound quality and great price point for dual-driver headphones, I do not recommend this product. They are extremely fragile, made for aesthetics rather than durability. At six months old I had no audio in the right earphone, and Apple refuses to replace them even though they are in warranty and appear as new condition-they attribute the failure to wear and tear, which is not covered by the warranty. My experience with this one product has tarnished my opinion of Apple, especially their service procedures. To add to the frustration, you cannot obtain extra silicone ear tips for these headphones. They tend to come off easily and do get dirty over time.

    awful!!!

    • Written by from Pittsfield

Shame on you apple!!! these are by far the worst headphones that I had bought in my life. The gel adapters fall off at each wear, lost all of my replacements and the little tiny wire screen from where the sound comes out of, these were obsolete for me, wasted my $79 plus tax because I couldn't even return them, Apple would not take them back!! Very sad about the last one!!!

Only effective for up to 20 seconds before becoming easily Dislodged

    • Written by from San Juan

These headphones are effective for reducing external noise. However, the effect only lasts literally 15-20 seconds before the in ear headphones come dislodged and external noise creeps in.

I think the design is really lacking on these things b/c the slightest movement will pull these things out of your ears. They really don't fit in an ear well at all.

Sitting on an airplane: I could not chew gum b/c jaw movement will knock these out of place; couldn't pop my ears either as we ascended/descended. Walking somewhere: the weight of the cord gently bouncing against your chest as you walk pulls these out of place; if you're walking and don't adjust the headphones, they will likely fall out of your ear completely within a couple of minutes.

I wish these can be included with iPhones

    • Written by from Richmond

I used to use a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which came with some really good in-ear headphones. However, I got an iPhone 4s to replace it because of a carrier switch. I still liked the in-ears but they wouldn't be able to control an iPhone so I decided to turn to Apple to find some. These are what I bought, and they're exactly the same sound quality and comfort as the Samsung ones, and they can control an iPhone because that's what they were designed for. The only con I have is that they're separately purchased items from the phone, but that's OK because they're well worth the $80.

    The Worst of all

    • Written by from LONG ISLAND CITY

    pros:
-it's more comfortable than the old ones
    - louder
    Cons:
-I returned it twice to apple because of technical problems
first time it keeps playing and changing songs by itself
second time: the volume keeps breaking off and on by itself

i have the old apple headphones they were not a disappointment like the new version and for 30$ not worth it.
