    I got my Smart Cover when I perched my iPad mini and it is working as a stand and the sleep wake feature is so nice have not seen any hairs coming off like the other review the one I have seems to be doing everything the package advertised have had it for 3 weeks will update if any changes but so far so good

    This is a fine case. It does everything as it should. Everything that is advertised it does perfectly. If you are someone like me who likes to use their iPad (mini) to its full capacity as it was intended, this is the cover for you. It definitely looks better on the iPad than other cases do. Plus, if you are not one to drop things and you just want to prevent the screen from getting scratched this will work. I am very much satisfied with this cover because it can function as two different stands ( which function well unless you really nudge it! ) and still is only a cover. The magnet is very strong, enough to hang the ipad on the cover alone without it falling. And, if you want to quickly take off the case and snap it back on later you could. After reading other reviews i thought i would have to take it back but it is just the opposite; I LOVE it. Overall I like this cover, it is simple and it functions properly.

    A stand should stand up and stay up

    So disappointed with my iPad mini cover. I need it for reading and Face Time as a stand, as advertised. It just falls flat and I've tried every which way. It seems the edge of the cover should fold back and fit into the back edge of the magnet. Well, that sure doesn't work. Fine for a protective cover and the other features. But it should meet Apple standards in all of the ways they have marketed it. I'm back to an ugly metal plate stand bent way back to get the right angle.

    Just bought the mini! Love the bright blue cover. Love the sleek design, feel and the magnet is pretty strong. Cover works well as a stand. Perfect for what I need it to do! If you want your cover to do more, buy something else! Very satisfied!

    The only thing this is useful for is cover and sleep/wake. Using as stand is useless too weak bad design. Very unlike apple. Not the same experience as with full size Smart Cover for bigger iPads. I hope apple releases a new fixed version soon. Good luck

    My blue cover also does not do anything more than cover the IPad. It will not work as a stand and it doesn't allow the Ipad to go into sleep mode. If I forget to power it down, the battery will be dead next time I go to use it.
    I love the blue, but I may have to switch to another color and that just doesn't make sense to me.

    I have to say I'm amazed at the less than stellar reviews of the mini smart covers. It's perfect as r most products apple makes. It does everything exactly like the Smart Cover I have on my 3rd gen iPad. With one less fold. It doesn't make it any less sturdy. I've seen no "hairs" from the inside on my screen. Honestly it's the standard for smart covers!! Apple does it again!! Maybe those of you who are having problems have defective ones. Exchange them!!!! You may be keeping people from the best smart cover by your misguided reviews.

    I think some folks are confusing this cover for a case (which it is not). This in fact is a very nice protective cover which is magnetized to stay in place (which it does rather nicely). The microfiber interior seems to keep the screen free from dirt and grime. The cover also fits extremely well with no gaps whatsoever. I highly recommend it as a cover, not a smash proof case.

    I purchased this cover with good intentions, but I am disappointed with it. My cover does only that--cover and nothing else! It won't stand nor can you lean the IPad on it without being flat, which makes it very hard to read the screen! Don't waste your money on this piece!!!

    Leaves fuzz all over

    Cover looks nice, but not as functional as the big iPad covers. Here are some problems I found with this cover:
    1) Fuzzy back of cover sheds tiny hairs all over the screen. This problem has been going on for days. Tried using tape to remove them but still get them. Very annoying because these tiny fuzziness are very hard to clean.
    2) Cover doesn't fold entirely on itself (which means that if you set it on a dirty surface you will get part of the interior dirty, and the fuzzy clothing seems to be hard to clean). This doesn't happen on the bigger iPad covers.
    3) Folding into a stand is very weak. Not as strong/sturdy compared to bigger iPad cover.
