Originally liked this cover, so slim and smart. However, the IPad mini slipped from my hand while taking pictures, and I grabbed onto the cover, but of course, the magnet did not hold and the NEW IPad mini fell to a concrete floor and dented the side slide button and up volume button, making them unusable. Would not recommend.

This is a super flimsy and ineffective cover. When you fold the cover to stand up the mini ipad its not stable and the folded cover tends to release. You can't touch the screen without it falling over. This cover design is a dud. I recommend seeking an alternative cover.

And it was a major disappointment. My husband got me the mini as a valentines day/birthday gift and a cover to match. I am bias because red is my favourite colour, this red is RED, like a nuclear cherry (I say this in a good way). That was the good part. The rest was up setting; The magnets are weak and don't stay in position so you can't use it on a table top but, if you keep the cover on & hold it in your hands it's awkward to hold. I coukdnt get through the day with it. i am sending it back and asking for a refund. For almost $50 i expect my cover to protect my mini while still allowing it to be usesble.. This cover does neither of those things. So frustrating because it's such a cute colour.

Keeps falling off all the time. Magnetic hinge not strong enough

I bought the smart cover in red for my ipad mini. What a huge waste of money. It does not stay on and apparently a back supporting cover, which might provide the stability needed, is unavailable from apple. I thought this would be the perfect cover because of its slim design and it would fit into my purse. Well, now I need to buy a new product that will actually protect the device but will be too bulky for my purse. Very disappointed. You will be also if you make this purchase.

The iPad mini Smart Cover is anything but Smart. The magnetic cover detaches easily. My iPad dropped to the floor and cracked the second day I had it!! When I went back to the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue I was told by a man at the bar that he had never seen this problem before and he assists "several hundred people a day". Wow, I guess he hasn't checked these reviews recently. Very disappointing for an Apple product.

Do not buy the mini iPad smart cover. It detaches very easily from the mini iPad and is an accident waiting to happen. Extremely poor design. Several people I know are having the same issues. If you dont want to drop your mini iPad , do not buy this product.

OVER PRICED! Even if it cost $19 it would be a huge waste of money.

Cover does not stay attached to the iPad Mini when folded into the triangle to use landscape or reading mode..., does not hold it up solidly. Right out of the package it's been source of major frustration. My iPad 2 Smart (RED) cover works brilliantly why wasn't the same concept used here?

I'm not a Apple "fan boy" but I have every major product and most accessories that make productivity easier.

Over product = #FAIL

This Smart Cover is terrible.. The fabric hinge is terrible quality when compared to the aluminum hinge on the larger model. The fabric hinge allows the Smart Cover to slide back and forth on the face of the iPad.

The fold function doesn't work all that well either. It never seems to lock in place properly, and once you fold it up it never seems to properly lay flat again. So there is always a proofed up portion in the middle of the cover which defeats the purpose as it lets dust and dirt onto the screen.

Very dissatisfied with the quality of this item, not up to standards.
