    They are freaking awesome !!!

    • Written by from Tehachapi

They are the most comfortable earbud I've ever used, they never fall out if my ear, even when slightly yanked, and they provide great sound, blocks out all outer noise in the room !!!!!

    Broke after 3 days

    • Written by from Visoko pri Poljanah

When I got them i was very happy. but as soon as i tried to put them in my ear i found out that they don't fit. They constantly fall out. Because I didn't have any other earphones at the time i used them the first days but the left earphone stopped working. It randomly turned on sometimes but stopped quickly. I must say I'm dissapointed.

    Average sound, average quality.

    • Written by from Bayonne

I got these "EarPods" when I ordered my iPhone 5. I started using them about 4 months later and what stood out the most to me was the comfort. I know that's been a big complaint by many but for me, they stayed in my ears without falling out and remained comfortable even after hours of use. However, just recently I've been experiencing issues with the microphone. Although I can hear sound from the other person on my line, they randomly stop hearing me. I know it isn't my cell service because I tried other headphones when these started giving out. I'm not sure why the microphone fails to pick up my voice now but I have noticed a bit of tearing at the microphone end of the wire.

All in all, the sound quailty is fair. If you get these with your Apple device use them. But if it they break, I would not recommend replacing them with another Apple pair. For the price, they are really nothing special. Put your $30 to something better.

Ive had mine for about 3 months and just a few weeks ago, they stopped working and only play music when i press the mic button down. Now i have a piece of tape wrapped around it to keep it on. And just an hours ago my left bud blew. They are great headphones, but they dont seem to last that long

They are too big for my ears and very uncomfortable. Also, it's causing a lot of pain in my ear because, the side speaker is scraping against my ear, causing it to be sore and raw.

    Great, but issues.

    • Written by from Silver spring

The earphones are great. Everything about it is good. It lasts a long time as well.

There are two problems I have with these earphones.
1-The earphones irritate your ears sometimes.
2-Sometimes, the earphones will send a shock into your ear and leave a stinging pain.

To be honest, I took off two stars because of those two issues since that is major to me. The pain is easy to adjust to. However, the shocks to the ear are unbearable to the point that I'm scared to put them back on my ears.

    They don't fit

    • Written by from Southfield

I upgraded my 4s to a 5s and these came in the packaging. Before I upgraded my phone I've seen these headphones in the store and thought "that's a stupid design, how does that fit in your ear?" Clearly, I have more brains than the folks at apple. I usually use skullcandies and I really like the suction they offer. These headphones are plastic and just slip out. They actually don't fit in at all. I also have my tragus pierced on both ears. I have to flip the ring up to get these in and they still don't stay. I've never had to adjust my piercings with previous headphones. I'm disappointed. From what I gathered they sound ok though.

    Best value! But...

    • Written by from Konzell

So, I literally tested every earbud-headset there is. The Apple EarPods have the best value. But I wish Apple would produce some upper-class EarPods. Better sound quality, more drivers and so on. The thing is, for people like me, who are a bit audiophile, the standard EarPods are not good enough. I can't buy In-Ears cause I hate the feeling of them. As a matter of fact, a lot of people don't like In-Ears. So whats left are a few earbud-design headsets, not many though. After a lot of testing I ended up keeping the Bose MIE2i. They are clever designed and they have better sound than the EarPods, much richer, more base, more stage and so forth. But, they are really expensive. Way to expensive. Not even the materials are good. Looks like cheap plastic. But sadly they are the best option if you want an EarPod headset upgrade and you don't like In-Ears. So please! Apple! Start producing some EarPod Pro's. I'm willing to pay for them good money! ... The design of the EarPods is already good, no need to change that. All they need are more and better drivers. So the goal would be, to design and produce EarPod Pro's which are sound-wise at least as good as the Bose MIE2i but cost at least one third less. Thanks!

    Useless. And I'm baffled.

    • Written by from Cornwall

I'm baffled at how such a useless product ever got approved by Apple. The whole point of earbuds (or pods as Apple calls it), is that they should fit snuggly in your ear, comfortably, WITHOUT FALLING OUT. That is why just about every other earbuds out there have rubber caps or rubber lining, some even come with extra rubber caps with different sizes to fit the shape of your ear.

Apple's earpods seem like a cool idea in theory, but what good is it if you can't even use them? They come with no rubber caps or lining, therefore there is absolutely no grip, just smooth plastic. And the shape of these pods don't fit my ear very well and they simply slide right out. Did Apple design these earpods thinking everybody on planet earth has the exact same shape and size of ears? How could they have overlooked this problem? This is quite possibly Apple's stupidest design to date.

    Amazing

    • Written by from Pensacola

As someone that listens to music throughout the day, I need to have amazing headphones. I don't care about the cost as long as they give me my money's worth. I've had prior experience with older style apple earbuds, and we all know that they weren't the best. So I wasn't expecting the EarPods to be any better. Was that assumption ever wrong, they blew the old ones out of the water, and they're on par with a lot of my other earbuds. I definitely recommend the apple EarPods to anyone that wants to listen to music, have a rich sound, and feel good in the ears.

    Improved and Durable

    • Written by from Scranton

In my opinion, these earpods are a bigger improvement to its predecessor. The sound is more rich and pays just a tad more attention the mids. I wouldn't say these are the best earpods money can buy you, but they're a great everyday tool. And I must say, these are extremely durable, I accidentally left them in my pants after a jog and they went through the washer and dryer, they still work perfectly with no problems. They're actually cleaner now, haha.

    Disappointed

    • Written by from Cincinnati

I find it very irritating that these headphones are uncomfortable and fall out frequently. I'm a skier and I really like to tune everything out when I'm on the slopes. I thought to try these out one day, but found that they couldn't even comfortably fit in my ears. I was also irritated because I could hear my surroundings as I was skiing. I am completely appalled by Apple's efforts and do not recommend buying their headphone products because they all have disappointed me.

Took these from my Wife ;-)

My wife upgraded her iPhone 4 to the 5c and these came in the packaging. Being an android guy (Nexus 5 owner) and not having any good headphones to jam to some tunes at the gym I snuck these in my pocket one day and I must say they are the best sounding and most comfortable headphones I've ever used.

Great Quality and very crisp bass and sound. My wife let me keep these so I'll be purchasing me these when it comes time for a new pair! Good job apple!

    Worst Apple product this decade

    • Written by from Decatur

These new earphones are unbelievably uncomfortable. I can't wear them more than 10-15 min without an ear ache. The previous version were the best "cheap" earphones out there, and these just don't fit at all for me. They don't sound awful, but when you can't wear them for more than very short term what is the point!
