    Very comfortable

    • Written by from SLINGERLANDS

Love these earbuds, much more ergonomic than the older style. My only complaint has to do with the plug end, where it is attached to the device. If they would just make the part you grip when disconnecting a little longer & easier to grip, it would last longer. Or is that the point? Mine are tearing there, from the few times I've slipped my grip as I was disconnecting them.

    Best-Buy For This Price Range

    • Written by from Bucharest

I’ve bought my first pair about six months ago. I was impressed and they actually fit into my ear. They are actually comfortable and I prefer them over most in-ear models which actually hurt after a while.

After a while, due to my own fault, the remote broke. I was surprised to see the headsets still working. A few days ago I’ve replaced them and this is my second pair. Since I could have invested in something theoretically superior (don’t think BOSE but you can get a low end sennheiser at this price and I’ve kept them, then I do enjoy the EarPods.

As far as sound quality, I think they are somewhere in the middle. It sometimes sounds harsh and it could use a bit more clarity. But the thing is that, from my own tests, unless you want to spend $200 on a really good quality pair of in-ear headsets, any other choice brings only marginal improvements.

    Pro:
    - The shape and the fact that they fit perfectly.
    - Decent sound quality, NOT audiophile level, even a $20 on-ear pair of headsets blows them out of the water.
    - The brilliant remote, maybe the #1 reason why I’ve bought them again.
    - Price, kind-of.

    Cons:
    - Fragility.
    - The case is not that practical.
    - Major distortion at over 80% volume.

    More Colors!!!

    • Written by from Taunton

I love these headphones more than anything. They are comfortable and have a perfect sound, as well as a perfect price. Also they last a pretty long time. The only downside is that with everyday use they no longer look white. I wish Apple would make these headphones in other colors like black or grey

    Bluetooth

    • Written by from MILNER

I would like to see these earbuds on a Bluetooth model around the neck . They fit my ears perfect but the cord to my iPhone gets in the way of my work . I have been thru 6 pair due to hanging on an object and getting cut or damaged in some other way .

Really nice product for default headphones.

It is really good if I compare with to other headphones/earphones that come with other smartphones. It is quite good, sound is clear and seems of quality. Really enjoy it.

    Not Just "For the Price"

    • Written by from Patterson

I listen mostly to orchestral classical music. For this, you need much more than "great bass." In fact, when 50 or more instruments are playing at once, bloated bass can get in the way. What you need is balance from top to bottom. I have a pair of IEMs that deliver it just right. But in search of 'outer' earbuds that provide similar balance, I've tried $10, $15, $40, $80, $100, and $140 buds. All respectable brands. And I find every one of them distracting in some way. One sounds tinny. Another, toylike. A few sound too murky at the bottom. One is refreshingly clean and open, but lean--too lean to faithfully reproduce the sound of a full size orchestra. I've tried each one with earpads, without earpads, and with donut-foams. And none of it is satisfactory. Sure, these higher priced buds might enable me to hear a flutist take a breath or a cellist turn his page, but there is always some aspect of the music that is annoyingly out of balance.

And now I try Apple ear pods, and find them . . . the best. Deep, rich, clean, crisp. And balanced. I can listen to the music without being distracted by some recurring idiosyncrasy. AEPs just give me the music.

Now, I find this disturbing. Why should so many more-expensive earbuds have such significant flaws or deficiencies when a pair of $30 ear pods can get it right? I don't know the answer. Of course, sound quality is a subjective thing, so maybe it's my ears that are flawed and deficient. But at the proverbial end of the day, I have to trust my ears over the reviews, experts, and critics. And the Apple ear pods sound, to me, just right. Balanced. And not just "for the price."

Better than I thought they would be

    • Written by from Spring

I got these with my iPhone 6. They are pretty comfortable for the first 30mins of wearing and then start to hurt the inside of my ears. I am usually using my Skull Candy 50/50 that have a deeper bass than these but are also $25 higher in price. For the money (if i would have paid for these separately) I would feel they are worth the $30. I think anyone that buys these will be surprised by how good they sound.

    Amazing Sound

    • Written by from Saint Petersburg

Fantastic sound. Unfortunately the round foam pads don't fit them. Without the foam pads, after some time, sweat gets in the speakers and ruins them. Anyone have a fix for this?

Great sound, but don't be too rough

    • Written by from Lawrenceville

I love using my EarPods. They sound amazing, they're comfortable, they don't fall out easily. But I use them every day, and constantly put them through a lot. Before long, wires begin bending, breaking, insulation strips off, and eventually one side may stop working (it's been the right side every time). It's not necessarily bad build quality, but I do wish they were more durable. However, I keep coming back to EarPods because they're still great. If you get these, just be sure to keep them in the case when you're not using them, or tape certain areas (I'd suggest around the headphone jack and where it splits into the left and right bud). I love 'em, you just can't be too rough!

    All around very good

    • Written by from Laguna Niguel

These are one of the best pair of headphones I've ever used. Their unique design creates it's own category. They don't have the discomfort of the seal of real in-ear headphones but still have the same amazing sound quality, if not better. They are so COMFORTABLE. I can wear them for hours and forget they are there, whereas I would get headaches after about an hour with other headphones. They are very durable and well designed. I use them for music, video editing, movie watching, just about everything and now I have 4 pairs! One complaint: they do leak sound considerably so I can't use these in the library.

Best earphones I have ever had.

    • Written by from Keswick

I don't know how Apple did it but they feel great in the ears and the sound is really crisp and the quality and craftsmanship is impressive though the microphone could use an update. Works well with my MacBook Pro I love how it can change the volume on my Mac my iPhone and any iPods I have. Great buy, I would recommend this to anyone even if they don't use an Apple product to get a set and try them out. I guarantee you'll be satisfied with your purchase like I have. I tip my hat to you Apple. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because the microphone needs to be updated.

    Pretty good, just not durable.

    • Written by from Fresno

I run on the treadmill and do the elliptical bike with my iPhone 5 and Apple EarPods while listening to Spotify. These stay in my ears pretty well and the remote is really handy because I can change the volume, pause/play, skip, go back/forward, pick up/ignore calls, and use Siri with just the remote by clicking the button in a specific way. I guess for some people, these don't fit very well, but they fit me pretty well. Some complaints that I have is that I hate how dirty the cord can get and how the point where the cord and jack meet, the lining around it can rip easily if you bend it a lot. This also happens with apple chargers too. I wish they had an L shape-ended cord instead. Other than that, the sound quality is great. If you're not wearing them properly, I can see how they might sound bad like when I wear them in the wrong ears.

Has anyone thought of having these in black? That'd be awesome!

Great but don't last as long

    • Written by from Yulee

I so love these EarPods, they fit great, they sound great, and they're just all around awesome… except the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The left earPod broke or lost connection or whatever after less than 6 months. I've had cheaper earphones that lasted way longer than that, and for $30 they should be lasting a bit longer than some $10 pair. But other than that, I've had no problems, they're pretty sweet.

    Alright for the Price

    • Written by from Saint Michael

These headphones don't sound nearly as great as the Audio Technica ath-m50 or other quality over-ear headphones. However, if you compare them to much more expensive ($100) in ear headphones, such as urbeats, they sound decent. Like beats headphones, the bass is somewhat distorted and flooded, and the treble is muffled. On the other hand, they aren't sealed, so the bass had to be exaggerated to be maintained. The mids do sound quite good so that is a plus. For the fit, they don't fall out of my average ears with casual use, but I wouldn't suggest them for exercise. Overall, a huge improvement over the last stock apple headphone.

These are THE BEST headphones you can get for $30 bucks!! Sound quality is top notch but, I have only has mine for a year now and the pin has broke , I'm very upset!! Apple needs to put more effort in the quality if their accessories, don't get me wrong the sound is amazing just the quality of the product is not!

    Great headphones and super durable!

    • Written by from Fleetwood

They are an obvious leap forward compared to the old Apple earbuds. The bass is much fuller and the tones are much crisper. Although they don't fit my ears perfectly (the right earbud has a habit of falling out), they are quite comfortable to wear. I was also impressed with their durability. I left them in my sweatshirt pocket and ran them through the heavy cycle in the washing machine. Aside from a few dings in the plastic, they dried out and work perfectly!

Ive had mine for about 3 months and just a few weeks ago, they stopped working and only play music when i press the mic button down. Now i have a piece of tape wrapped around it to keep it on. And just an hours ago my left bud blew. They are great headphones, but they dont seem to last that long
