    Doesn't last 6 months....

    • Written by from Vancouver

I've bought at least 3 of these and twice they didn't even last 6 months. Unfortunate, because they fit my ears perfectly! Each set began to speed up, slow down, skip, activate suri, pause and play on its own. I know some people mentioned something about moisture, but I've been super careful with my earphones after my first pair crapped out. I think these are fine if you use them once in a while, but I use my earphones 5 days a week (at the very minimum) usually while commuting to and from work. After 3 tries with this, I'm on the lookout for new earphones.

    Disappointing

    • Written by from Somerset

Recently purchased iPhone 6 & the earbuds that Apple provided with it are very poor fit for my average ears! Agree with those who say they don't stay in. Sitting perfectly still they stay in but turn my head twice & one or the other falls out. Come on Apple who did you test these out on ?

    Great but....

    • Written by from Ridgefield

I have had 3 pairs of these and never really had problems until after a lot of usage the sound quality deteriorates as well as the volume. I was really bummed about this and was stuck with them until I got myself a new pair of Beats (A lot better btw...) but I was sad that after spending money buying these they went so quick with usage.

    the worst

    • Written by from glendale

These are the worst fitting ear buds I have ever had - They constantly fall out - seconds after I put them in! Don't even try walking you wont make it 10 feet. I guess they are designed only to fit a specific ear shape. For the $30 cost that is a ridiculous concept. they should fit ALL ear types. very disappointed!

    Iphone ear buds

    • Written by from Belmont

I got these earphones with my I phone 5s. I haven't used them much, got the phone the 1st of December 2014. Went to use them the other day and they don't work. If I push around on the mic piece I can get it to work a little bit. I guess that is why you get them free with the phone. I also kept them in the case when not using them.

Fall out of my ears all day long!

    • Written by from Dartmouth

The old ones had a silcon ring that help keep them in my ears. I don't like these at all. Even chewing gum makes them fall out! I wish I could get the old ones - I loved them!

Uncomfortable and don't stay in. Very unforgiving position-wise as well. I prefer the earlier version.

    Worst Headphones ever!

    • Written by from Far Rockaway

The quality of these headphones are very cheap. It's only March of 2013 and I've already gone through two headphones this year. After I bought this new one, I noticed that in the ear piece I am constantly being shocked. That's a little scary, especially with this being in my ear. This has happened several times and have switched to another brand of headphones. Overall I am dissatisfied with the overall quality of apple branded accessories.

only earphones that really fit small ears + great sound!

    • Written by from Atlatlahucan

I am one of those people with really realy (really!) small ears and invariably end up with earbuds that pop-out or just chafe my ear canal. Well, these are the ONLY earbuds that I have ever used that do not cause either of these 2.
I do not use them for sports, only music listening in sedate environments, therefore I could understand those who excercise will always need to buy earphones with earclips or such... but for the purpose these were created, they are awesome!!
Also note the bass sound is very rich, i was seriously surprised...
Yeah, this is old news but I wanted to put in my 2 cents worth for those with the same issue as me (very very very small ears)

    Not good at all

    • Written by from Stafford

These headphones are without doubt the most uncomfortable headphones i have ever used. They don't fit properly, constantly falling out of my ears, and are very uncomfortable to wear. The sound quality is not bad, but not top notch either - ive had phillips sport headphones for cheaper that reproduce the sound better. The final point is sound leakage : ever sat on a train and heard someone else's music in full clarity ? Yep thats the apple headphones. Do yourself a favour and buy another brand : apple just cannot make decent headphones !

    Won't stay put.

    • Written by from Springfield

These ear buds have good sound, but not great like some say. I know quality sound! The other problem with these is that they wont stay snug in my ears. I realize everyone has different ear shapes, but these have no "traction". If you want the best possible sound, they need to be snug in the ear or all you hear is treble.

Three stars for the decent sound.
Two stars for the fit and price.

    The worst

    • Written by from Chilton

These are the worst things I've ever put in my ears. Bulky, hard, odd shaped, probably only fits one particular ear size. Extremely painful to wear after about 15 minutes. Seriously who designed these?

ok I love the apple earpods to death but im sick of buying new one every couple of months they always end of shorting out and one will be louder than the other one and I shouldn't have to go to accessibility and try to balance them out and im not doing that anymore. everybody knows that you guys have enough money to make them not short out or heck you could make them indestructible but what ever u do make them work please

    Best-Buy For This Price Range

    • Written by from Bucharest

I’ve bought my first pair about six months ago. I was impressed and they actually fit into my ear. They are actually comfortable and I prefer them over most in-ear models which actually hurt after a while.

After a while, due to my own fault, the remote broke. I was surprised to see the headsets still working. A few days ago I’ve replaced them and this is my second pair. Since I could have invested in something theoretically superior (don’t think BOSE but you can get a low end sennheiser at this price and I’ve kept them, then I do enjoy the EarPods.

As far as sound quality, I think they are somewhere in the middle. It sometimes sounds harsh and it could use a bit more clarity. But the thing is that, from my own tests, unless you want to spend $200 on a really good quality pair of in-ear headsets, any other choice brings only marginal improvements.

    Pro:
    - The shape and the fact that they fit perfectly.
    - Decent sound quality, NOT audiophile level, even a $20 on-ear pair of headsets blows them out of the water.
    - The brilliant remote, maybe the #1 reason why I’ve bought them again.
    - Price, kind-of.

    Cons:
    - Fragility.
    - The case is not that practical.
    - Major distortion at over 80% volume.

    Bring the old model back

    • Written by from La Crosse

Either due to or spite of their sleek design, these earbuds sound worse and are less comfortable and stable than their predecessors. Sound quality is tinny and harsh and they do not stay in place while in use. I'm 6'3" and take my earbuds running- I tried these on my last run and gave up ten minutes in after a light breeze kept dislodging them. Might be fine for sitting at a desk, not much else.

    Unacceptable

    • Written by from marina

I love apple products but sadly they've been failing me repeatedly.
I bought a pair of headphones to replace my lost ones and only after 3 weeks they broke. I was listening to music on my I-phone as I was walking home when my phone fell and the headphones literally split apart. The portion that goes into your I-phone was actually stuck in my phone while the cord to the headphones had separated. I've dropped my phone a couple of times while listening to music and and never has the actual cord broke, usually the headphones just pull out of the phone, but I was very upset about they just broke this time. I understand when over time headphones start to fade or lose sound on one side due to old or tangled wires, but this is ridiculous. I did not pay 30+ tax to have my headphones break so easily.
    Apple is failing.

    GREAT SOUND... when they work

    • Written by from Memphis

I love the Ear Pods shape and they are very comfortable but the big problem is that one of Ear Pods goes out meaning you are getting full volume on one side but on the other you could barley hear the music. So please find a way to prevent this from happening.
