The sound quality is pretty good but these new EarPods fall out of my ears just like the Earbuds. I won't recommend them.

Sound quality is much better but they dont fit.....might as well try and stick my fist in my ear. Sound quality doesn't matter if the dont fit properly.

Nice sound but when played too quiet you can hear this awful buzzing noise.they hurt your ears. The worst problems I had were- right earbud stopped working, then when I was pulling the connector out of my device the whole part broke and got stuck in the jack and I had to get it out with pliers.Overall good sound but Bad quality.

These 'earpods' sound like $2.00 headphones. They are painful to wear and they do not fit well.. You are wasting your money building them. These need to be a more traditional style earphone with a rubber or preferably foam tip. The drivers only push out vocals and treble. I may not be a sound engineer but I sure could design a better set of headphones than this. I guess to expect a quality headset to come with an $800 iPhone 5 is too much to ask isn't it?

Absolutely worthless! One size does not fit all! If your ear doesn't fit the "universal" size then you're screwed if you want to use these headphones. Do yourself a favor a and replace them at the first chance you get.

I am very perplexed as to how Apple could make worse earbuds as the ones that came with my other iPhones. But somehow the genius engineers at Apple did it again, but even on a greater scale of failure than previous thought.
The new EarPods do not stay in my ear and the sound quality is extremely poor.

I bought my first one and the controls wouldn't work, so I got a new one and a accidentally dropped it on the floor and the connector broke, I don't know how. Won't get them again

To start things off, they do not stay in your ear, and the sound quality is the farthest thing from clear. Everyone around you can hear your music, and with these things in full blast, i can still clearly hear my mother quietly talking next to me. The stupid guy at the radio shack convinced me to buy these, saying that they were a lot better than the other selection of terrible headphones that apple offers. Honestly, going with the $5 phillips brand headphones would of been a better choice for me. Please, take my word, and just DO NOT get these headphones. They are complete garbage. The only pro about these things is the style. For me, it was $30 down the drain. Thanks apple!

These are the worst headphone ever. They are so uncomfortable in my right ear, I can;t stand it. This is the most terrible product that apple has ever made. -1,000,000,000/10.

Really great but poor connection to iPhone 5

These fit great in my ears and I think they would actually stay in my ears but cannot use them because unless I hold the jack tightly in to make the connection they don't work...the sound still comes from the speakers unless I am pushing in on the jack...this is a problem... I will try a new pair...returning these to Apple Store and will review again. Disappointed.

I ordered these hoping that they would be better than the stock earphones... NOT. These hurt my ears and barely stay put. Definitely not worth the $40 (with taxes and shipping). I'm dissapointed in the quality of the product. However, the sound is great. Would be better if the earpods would actually stay in my ear so I can hear properly. Terrible.

I was excited that they might design something that finally fit into my ear without causing a pressure ulcer.....but no. These aren't much better than the original design. They still fall out and still hurt. I have to manually hold them in for the sound to be at all good. Stick with the in-ear buds; more expensive but worth it.

Since they don't fit my ear, unlike the older soft ones which I lost, they are a waste of money. Might as well use the ones which came with the iphone, since those also don't fit.
A big step back for Apple.

Why can't Apple just give up trying to make its own style of ear buds and make high quality buds like most manufacturers (with the soft, replaceable ear piece) that actually fit in and stay in your ears? This latest effort is a total waste. Don't try to exercise with them; they will pop out or loosen and lose quality sound.

The New EarPods have structural problems that can only be described as product failure. Granted I may have purchased (3 pair now and counting) from a bad batch but it looks to me like this is a product that should not have come to market. First pair has and intermittent right channel. Another pair required a constant pressure on the plug (MacBook Pro) to stop loud humming noise. On Monday I will be returning this set of EarPods and NOT exchanging them. I am done with this product.

    terrible headphones!!

I seriously have only had these headphones for about 4 - 5 weeks now and they are failing!
In the left ear it has gone extremely quiet and in the right ear it has gone a little bit quiet, my ears are perfectly fine but the headphones a very messed up, i carry my earpods in its case so that they dont get damaged.
I thought this was a quality brand, maybe not!

The only thing that is better about these ear pods compared to the last generations is that the cord isn't silicone so it doesn't grab onto itself and everything in sight! The "pods" are super slick so although they fit my ears all I have to do is smile and they fall right out. The directional sound doesn't seem any better and is superfluous since the pods don't stay in place anyway.
Apple, if you don't want to compete in the earphone market, stop pretending you do.

The in-ear headphones are a great fit which creates much better sound but for $80.00 they are no better than the $29 - $39 in-ear headphones from every other company.

    Slippery suckers

So much potential, if only they stayed in. They are too shiny, and therefore slippery for their own good. Back to the in-ear design for me I am afraid.

    So dissappointed.
