Unusable Worst Fitting Earbuds Ever Made

    • Written by from Edmonds

These are by far the worst fitting earbuds I've ever owned. They do no stay in your ear, unless you are remaining completely still, for more than a few seconds. You can't even turn your head without them falling out. The right one falls out more than the left because it's weighted down with the mic and volume control.

Riding a bike? If the movement doesn't knock them out, the wind will. Walking or Jogging? Forget it, will never stay in.

I can not comment on the sound quality because they do not stay in my ear long enough to listen to anything for any amount of time.

Unless you are paralyzed from the eyebrows down, do not buy these.

    WORST COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED

    • Written by from barranquilla

Since the day I bought them I was really happy because they're awesome but their "awesome new design" is completely uncomfortable and cause me a lot of pain, each time I use them I end up in the doctor because them never thought they were the cause but now I've proved it by no using them... Each time I used them my ears hurts and inflamed it made me really mad because I have a lot of apple products but I think I would never buy them again!!!!!!!!

    Painful!

    • Written by from san Francisco

I really hate these new ear pods. They are too big and they hurt my ears. I'm really dissapointed that Apple has switched to this new ear pod. There is no way to adjust the size, and for my ears- and maybe for women's ears in general, they are just to big. I had to order other headphones, I just found these really unomfortable.

    • Written by from Bronx

The new headphones that (EarPods with Remote and Mic) are the most HORRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE things that have ever touched my ears.. They HURT!! My ears are ACHING.. They're horribly shaped for the ears.. I am so mad that they change the shape or don't maintain a standard basic type.
They sound super great!! BUT they HURT!!!

    Painfull!!

    • Written by from San Francisco

While the sound is great, these earbuds are incredibly painful in my ear. I've never had a pair of headphones that hurt before. The shape is not at all comfortable for my ears and it's very painful to my outer ear to wear these things. Please bring back the old ones.

Great sound but don't stay in the ears

    • Written by from Pittsburgh

The new Apple EarPods have nice sound but do not stay in my ears when I move. The model I like best for placement in the ears is the old standard (prior to the previous model).

    Just horrible...

    • Written by from FARMINGTON HILLS

Truly, an awful design!!! These earpods will not stay in place at all. No matter what I do they will not stay in the ear when working out with them on. It helped a little by placing the foam earbud covers, but they eventually still fall out. Though the volume control is a nice feature, the placement of it makes it act like a pendulum and when working out or running it just further aides in the bud not staying put. Also the adjustment clasp does no good either now that they placed the slit in it so the wire just pops out eventually. The earpods that came with the iphone4 were much better at staying in place.

    They keep breaking!!!!

    • Written by from Lowell

I have used apple headphones for years!!!! I decided to try these new earphones!!!! I've had to buy 2 pairs in the last 6 months. First the aux jack bended on me and now the remote won't work... Really??? The old apple headphones used to not fit in ear well and they used to kill my ear. Now these fit in my ear but keep breaking. I'm seriously considering buying some Dr. Dre's instead. I'm not happy with this product at all <<< Save your money and buy something better...

    Disappointing

These ear pods came with my iPhone 5. I find them to be absent any treble. Sounds muffled. I prefer the previous version.

    Thumbs down for me.

Two pairs of earphone not working

    • Written by from Whanagrei

These are the second pair of these earphones I have bought, first pair came with iPod nano for xmas 2012 and second pair came with another iPod nano a month or so ago. (One bought for my mum). Both of these earphone sets the sound has been out in the right ear upon first opening them. The first earphones came right by themselves after a few uses but the second pair still aren't working. I figured maybe they could of just been from the same bad batch or something but considering they were purchased a good 6 months apart, I thought that may have been unlikely.

    Absolutely Terrible!

    • Written by from London

I bought these earpods expecting an improvement in sound quality over their predecessors. I have only had them for 6 months and they have stopped working. The music will just stop yet the song will continue to play on my Ipod. I tried out my other earbuds only to find that the sound quality was exactly the same and that the music actually played without interuption. I am extremely upset that they have stopped working and would not recommend this product to anyone. Don't waste your money.

    great sound, break really easily

    • Written by from GLEN FORREST

I have had my iPod for 6 months now. The EarPods are brilliant! I take great care of them everyday, but, after 2 months they stopped working in one ear!! So, I nicked my mother's EarPods that came with her iPhone 5, and they stopped working in one ear after 1 month!!! So I took both broken sets back and Apple happily replaced them. Now, after a further month, my EarPods STOPPED WORKING IN ONE EAR AGAIN!! There is obviously a factory fault, so although they have FANTASTIC sound they are not worth the time I am unhappy to report :( very disappointed.

Worst earphones I've seen so far

    • Written by from Tallinn

These are simply the worst earphones I've used so far - almost no bass at all, mid freqs are cut, high freqs are more or less ok, but no clarity and a huge waste of money.

It's such a shame Apple supplies them with iPhone - the device capable of producing a very good sound...

It'd be great if they worked...

    • Written by from Omaha

I personally really like the sound of the headphones. It has a nice, deep bass and an overall good quality. I thought this about my first pair. And my second. And third. And fourth.

Please don't think I continued to spend money on multiple pairs. The first pair came with my ipod (obviously) at Christmas. After those stopped working (I don't remember how long those lasted), I bought a second pair, thinking it was worth the money and it was just a rare error. Then those broke. I sent them in to Apple and got a replacement pair. Then those died. A few weeks ago, my mom gave me hers that she didn't use. Those also just failed.

The issue I have had is that the left earbud's volume drops to maybe a third of the volume if the right side. This has happened to literally all of them. I don't know why it has happened and I refuse to believe it has been because of coincidence that they all broke like that. I am quite frustrated by this issue.

Unless it is just me, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THESE!

    not great

    • Written by from Baton Rouge

I dont like the earbuds because they're made ONLY to use with the mic positioned on the right side. A hinderance if you're a person that holds the phone on the left side. Please please PLEASE make buds conducive to people that like or would like the mic on the left side. The buds dont even work if you switch them around. At least the old buds could be used on either side. Fix it!!

    Keeps Falling!

    • Written by from Charlottesville

For people who like to move around listen to music while commuting to office or while walking; I would NOT recommend them to buy these earphones. Whatever good the sound quality might be but if it keeps falling from your ear, it just is not a good product. The key usage for the earphone is to keep me connected to the music. These earphones might have good quality (which actually I cant differentiate much compared to any other branded earphone) but it just keeps falling down. Apple Team - We need a new product please!

    worst earphones on earth

    • Written by from Miami

    Dear Apple,
The Apple Earpods are claimed to be the best but the connector broke on me twice.
In total i've spent over $60.00 on Apple earphones including the old and new ones.
If you can come up with a metal connector alluminium or some other strong yet light material
or to make the plastic stronger because i've heard complains that their connector breakes
due to their iPhone IPod or iPad falling on the connector.

Most Uncomfortable Earphones I've Ever Owned

    • Written by from Saugus

The sound quality of the headphones are comparable to any $30 headphone from competitors. But, after about 1 - 2 hours of continuous use my ears actually hurt from the large pieces of hard plastic pushing against the structure of my ear. I've never experienced this with other headphones before and I'm disappointed that these are apparently "designed to fit the average human ear, with extensive testing".

I would not recommend these to anyone.
