These are awesome! They have gone throughout the wash 3-4 times and they work perfect. Best headphones I have ever had and for 30 bucks.

    Horrible

    • Written by from Pottstown

I think most of these positive reviews are written by apple themselves. these headphones are amazing for the first month then after that they break. the cord is not durable and the headphones lose their sound. Especially, paying $29 for these is not reasonable at all. I wish apple would have let me know how quick their things break

    Terrible EarPods!

    • Written by from Gainesville

I received the EarPods with my iPhone 5S. I opened the package today to use them for the first time. I plugged them into my iPhone and the left side doesn't work at all, as in, there is zero sound. The right side works nice, but why would I only want to listen to music in one ear? I've had the iPhone 5S for less than a month and I also own a Macbook Pro, iPad mini, and Apple TV. I have also owned an iPhone 4S and iPod Touch. This is the first time I've had an issue with an Accessory and seriously? It doesn't work right out of the box? Apple, you can do better than that!

    New earpods - poor design

    • Written by from Baltimore

Not sure what the rave is about these new earpods. They are the most uncomfortable and painful earpods I've ever worn. I couldn't enjoy the better sound long enough before yanking them out of my ears. The hard shell does not conform to the opening of the auditory canal.

    Great while they work

    • Written by from Lakewood

I bought these about 6 months ago. I don't do any heavy listening; nothing loud, and only during my 9-5 shift. Up until last week, they were great. The style and shape took a little getting used to, but the sound was amazing. Now, the left earbud has decided to stop working, not completely but the sound quality is so miniscule I can hardly hear it. I feel like I've wasted $30. I've had $10 headphones last years, but for something so (relatively) expensive to not last even a year is pretty shoddy. I can't say I'm happy with the purchase.

    Amazing , simply amazing -

    • Written by from Valsayn WI

So I'm a headphone junkie, music is most of my life.

I've owned a lot of headphones, klipsch s4 gen ii, bose oe2(most comfortable headphones ever, like soft plus pillows of heaven) bose AE1 & 2. Sony v6 studio monitors. Klipsch image one . Sennheiser hd238.
Audio technica m50s(by far the best I've heard to date) etc. (Music/ instrument junkie) .

I play all my instruments by ear, so. I would like to think I have a decent pair of ears.
My dad owns a lot of bose stuff, including the ie2 headphones.
For 30 dollars these easily sound better than the ie2 from Bose..

My only gripe with them is if u have weird shaped ears like myself they can sometimes dislodge from the ears after using them for a while.

The solution is to purchase earhoox,,, again that's earhoox, changed my life.
Now they fit just like the bose and the sound is better.
Sound wise these headphones are very well balanced and for 30$ that's amazing.

The ath m50 from audio tecnica and bose oe2 are my primary headphones, but for portability u cant beat these.
Don't hesitate to get em.. And look up earhoox... Makes the fit a lot more secure.

    Cheers!

i love these headphones a lot and use them daily, very comfortable. The only problem i've had with these is how the main speaker on the left earbud blows out. My third pair has already blown out on the left one and about to go to my 4th pair that came with my iPhone 6. That should probably get looked into.

i have had my earpods for a long time and they have started to fall apart and break but that is my fault because i have not been taking care of them
the best quality of these earpods
i can wear them for HOURS and not even get tired of them , sadly i broke the part where it separates the right earpod from the left :( it hanging on by a few wires but it is so worth the price and they have lasted long than any other pair of headphones i've had :)

    Great so far

    • Written by from Dallas

I had the old apple earbuds ever since I bought my first iPhone 3G years ago. They were the only earbuds I liked because of the form; they seemed to fit my ears better than anything else I tried, pretty much anything with those rubber ear buds that just fall out of my ears.

I finally had to replace them today when that rubber circle on the outside started peeling (after about 8 years). I looked around and saw that apple released these a while back and saw they had a similar shape. After reading a million reviews for these and other earbuds, I ran to Microcenter and picked a pair up.

The second I put them on, I was shocked. The difference in sound was amazing; I never knew what I had been missing. They fit even better than the earbuds and are so comfortable.

I'm not even a huge Apple fan (mostly for programming, Windows for gaming and everything else, and have an Android phone) but their earbuds/pods haven't let me down yet, and a much better price point than Beats.

The only thing is the default bass (although much better than the earbuds) was a bit too loud. A little bit of equalizing to my preferences and the sound is perfect.

Let's hope they last as long as my last earbuds.

    Glad I made the switch!

For several months I have been using some basic earphones from Sony. I use em at the gym and have gotten sweat and water in them, but still worked properly. I refused to use the new earphones that came with my iPhone 5c because I hate in-earphones and always fall off. Eventually, I caved and when I started my jog I was blown away by how great the sound quality of these earphones was and they did not fall off throughout my entire jog. I completely appreciate the great sound quality and the bass.

    Great durable Headphones

    • Written by from Sanford

Ive read some of the reviews and noticed that a lot of the 1 star reviews mention that these headphones break easily. This is NOT true. I just washed my headphones in the washing machine on accident and they got stuck around the agitator. After untangling it from the washer I noticed that the headphones were pretty beat up. the rubber was cut in multiple places the wires were exposed and most of the cord is stretched out. I plugged them into my iPhone 6 and turned on some music and they still work. So yeah, I don't believe the 1 star reviews about how they break easily.

Then sound on these are amazing. I have a pair of Sennheiser hd 280 pro monitoring headphones and I have to say that these $30 apple headphones are close to the quality of the monitors. These are a LOT better than Beats IMO. I love apple to death but I will never buy a pair of Beats.

These earpods are NOT great at ALL!!!

    • Written by from Minneapolis

I got my iPhone like 30 days ago...just 30 days mind you...and I have had to get my third pair of earpods already...the very first time the left earpod stopped working completely....then in the second pair...the volume suddenly went terribly low...so even a full volume I couldn't hear loud music...it sucked!!! Now I have my fingers crossed that this third pair works properly.... Please APPLE this must be a genuine problem...

Great Headphones but they break often!

    • Written by from Brooklyn

I love these headphones. Great sound for the size plus the portability and design are excellent. My main problem is, I've had the right ear bud speaker fail on 3 seperate pairs within one year! That's $90 that I've put into the Apple earpods this year. I'm very gentle with them yet they seem destine to break around 4 months if you use them daily. But only the right speaker will break, which will torture you as you to debate on returning them to the genius bar or investing in a different brand.

Surprisingly good - a real bonus

    • Written by from ADDLESTONE

Really surprised at the improvement over the "old" style Apple headphone that I got with the iPhone 4. These are top notch. I have a pair of AKG K490NCs and these are not too far behind in terms of sound and I think they probably beat the Logitech UE plugs that I had. I just hope that they stand the test of time.
