    THE FACT..

    • Written by from Taguig City

when I bought an iPhone5, the earpods was free and I'm so curious about it's performance because of it's new design so I tested it immediately...
The sound was really great, it fits my ears well and it doesn't fall in my every head turns unlike the previous earpiece that it annoys me that every time I turn my head it falls!
    THUMBS UP for this product..

Apple EarPods- Not quite what they used to be?

    • Written by from Lake Stevens

I was very excited to get some new Apple headphones, as my old ones had taken a beating and no longer functioned. I liked the appearance of the new headphones and bought a pair at Best Buy. The fit, turns out, is not so great (at least for me). The pointed ends of the Pods tend to poke the insides of my ears. Though they worked, so I kept using them. After about two months, something happened to the plating or wiring because audio was distorted and ruined. I plugged the headphones into my Macbook to see if it was the Pods or my phone, and the problem persisted. To conclude, I would not recommend this gen. of headphones, the previous iPhone headphones were a much better product, in my experience. Some options of earbud sizes would be a good idea.

    Extraordinary!!!!!!

    • Written by from Cairo

I just got this like 2 hours ago and i couldn't believe the sound quality that came out of these tiny halls, i could hear the 80-110Hz clearly without mudding the rest of the spectrum although it has a decent mid-low cut around the 300-400Hz yet the sound still very clear and accurate.
The most shocking for me that it controls my MacBook Pro and i just figured it out by accident when i hit the call button and simply iTunes opened and i'm using all access Play, Pause, Next, Previous, Volume with it :D
The only problem for me is that it has low output power so in noisy places it couldn't be very audible enough and yet it's Extraordinary

    Great sound but......

    • Written by from hamilton

They have great sound but totally don't stay in my ears at all so I am giving mine away to hubby. The dollar store ones ...at least they stay in my ear but have to give up the quality of sound.....but these only one stays in my ear and mono is all I hear. Lol

So off to the apple store see if there's ones that fit!

Great product for the features and the price.

I used to have the Apple's round earphones; used for almost two years then bought the in-ear head phones and returned to Apple. Then, I bought these. These are really good, fit well, sound very nice. Bass is better than the round ones. I totally recommend these.

Look Great & Feel Awful - I want my old ones

    • Written by from Chattanooga

I made the mistake of lending the ear pods that came with my 4S to a coworker and never got them back. He was kind enough to buy me a new pair of cheap-o ones as compensation but they just weren't the same.
So I went to my local Mac provider and much to my dismay, the design of the basic ear pods had changed. Worried about the new design - although aesthetically beautiful - I went for it.
Our relationship started out great, as they always do, but after several wears that little seam in the mold of the plastic around the part that goes into your ear just really got annoying. I won't say painful, but very, very uncomfortable, especially in my left ear (strange...). It's an itchy, weird feeling that lingers even when you take them out.
Maybe I just have sensitive skin there or small ears, I do not know, but it's sure to say I am disappointed especially since the sound quality is great. I wish I could find my old backup pair but I may just resort to the cheap spongy ones my coworker gave me or steal some from a family member. Neither of which I prefer to do...'tis a sad day in ear pod land.

    Ok & hate them

    • Written by from Morden

The sound is OK other then they are so quiet. Was watching movie on a flight had to use the free headsets because these wouldn't go loud enough. They hurt the ears i have big ears and after wearing them for a long time they hurt. My girlfriends ears actually bled more than once. If you have small ears stay away from these. In the wind the mike totally cuts out. I can't believe these are made by apple. What i like is they are made well. But they do hurt my ears. And I have big ears lol

better than the old version, but VERY UNCOMFORTABLE...Can't wear them!

    • Written by from ROCKWALL

I had a lot of hope and positive anticipation for these EarPods...but my bubble was popped instantly! These are more ergonomically designed than the generic style from previous, but I could not get these EarPods comfortable in my ears. I twisted, turned, and tucked these in my ears all kinds of ways, but they just never felt comfortable or felt secure. I kept thinking they would fall out with every head turn. In fact, I couldn't stop focusing on the discomfort enough to evaluate the sound quality. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! I'm sticking with Skullcandy earbuds!

    Excellent!!!!!!

Clear, wide-range sound makes it seem that I'm listening to quality, hi-fi home speakers. The EarPods also fit comfortably snug in the ear, great for use while running or other activities. A significant improvement over the standard earphones.

They feel like clouds in my ears but there is an obvious imbalance of sound

    • Written by from Boca Raton

I love these headphones because they are so comfortable however there is one problem. These headphones (at least mine) have an imbalance of sound meaning one earpod is louder than the other. I have 2 pairs of beats and I have decided to switch back to them.

    As good as Bose

    • Written by from Huntsville

I used the old apple earphones for a few years, but I thought they were lacking high quality sound. I recently purchased the Bose AE2s and I fell in love with them. After hearing great reviews about these from my friends and online, I decided to compare them with my Bose headphones. I can't even notice a difference between them. These are a huge upgrade from the apple earphones. For $30, these are the best earphones on the market. I highly recommend them.

    THE TRUTH!

    • Written by from Kenilworth

I bought these after reading these great reviews and was excited to hear for myself.

Truth is they sound OK, just OK.. NO WHERE NEAR my Klipsch Image S4i.
People claiming they sound every bit as good are not really listening

As for the fit? They seemed to stay in place but it felt like they were gonna fall out.

I believe that part of the problem is they leak way too much of the outside noise. They also dont have the bass response people here are claiming probably due to the fact they just kind of barely rest in your ear.

I was disappointed but hey they are $29.99. I returned them same day. For me I'd rather spend a few more bucks than listen to these.

    Great sound, horrible comfort

    • Written by from Cullowhee

As a sound technician and a musician, audio quality is essential for me. These EarPods put out sound quality that rivals some of the top companies (SkullCandy, Beats, Sony, etc.). The one issue I have with these are the comfort. Recently I broke my usual SkullCandy headphones and have been left with these for my everyday listening. At first they are fine but the longer you wear them the worse they get.

So for those that are interested in purchasing these, they are great for small amount of time use and being able to talk without holding your iPhone; but if you are trying to find EarBuds for long term listening sessions (studying, leisure, etc.) might I suggest a full ear pair of headphones.
