    They don't fit

    • Written by from Southfield

I upgraded my 4s to a 5s and these came in the packaging. Before I upgraded my phone I've seen these headphones in the store and thought "that's a stupid design, how does that fit in your ear?" Clearly, I have more brains than the folks at apple. I usually use skullcandies and I really like the suction they offer. These headphones are plastic and just slip out. They actually don't fit in at all. I also have my tragus pierced on both ears. I have to flip the ring up to get these in and they still don't stay. I've never had to adjust my piercings with previous headphones. I'm disappointed. From what I gathered they sound ok though.

    Best value! But...

    • Written by from Konzell

So, I literally tested every earbud-headset there is. The Apple EarPods have the best value. But I wish Apple would produce some upper-class EarPods. Better sound quality, more drivers and so on. The thing is, for people like me, who are a bit audiophile, the standard EarPods are not good enough. I can't buy In-Ears cause I hate the feeling of them. As a matter of fact, a lot of people don't like In-Ears. So whats left are a few earbud-design headsets, not many though. After a lot of testing I ended up keeping the Bose MIE2i. They are clever designed and they have better sound than the EarPods, much richer, more base, more stage and so forth. But, they are really expensive. Way to expensive. Not even the materials are good. Looks like cheap plastic. But sadly they are the best option if you want an EarPod headset upgrade and you don't like In-Ears. So please! Apple! Start producing some EarPod Pro's. I'm willing to pay for them good money! ... The design of the EarPods is already good, no need to change that. All they need are more and better drivers. So the goal would be, to design and produce EarPod Pro's which are sound-wise at least as good as the Bose MIE2i but cost at least one third less. Thanks!

    Useless. And I'm baffled.

    • Written by from Cornwall

I'm baffled at how such a useless product ever got approved by Apple. The whole point of earbuds (or pods as Apple calls it), is that they should fit snuggly in your ear, comfortably, WITHOUT FALLING OUT. That is why just about every other earbuds out there have rubber caps or rubber lining, some even come with extra rubber caps with different sizes to fit the shape of your ear.

Apple's earpods seem like a cool idea in theory, but what good is it if you can't even use them? They come with no rubber caps or lining, therefore there is absolutely no grip, just smooth plastic. And the shape of these pods don't fit my ear very well and they simply slide right out. Did Apple design these earpods thinking everybody on planet earth has the exact same shape and size of ears? How could they have overlooked this problem? This is quite possibly Apple's stupidest design to date.

    Amazing

    • Written by from Pensacola

As someone that listens to music throughout the day, I need to have amazing headphones. I don't care about the cost as long as they give me my money's worth. I've had prior experience with older style apple earbuds, and we all know that they weren't the best. So I wasn't expecting the EarPods to be any better. Was that assumption ever wrong, they blew the old ones out of the water, and they're on par with a lot of my other earbuds. I definitely recommend the apple EarPods to anyone that wants to listen to music, have a rich sound, and feel good in the ears.

    Improved and Durable

    • Written by from Scranton

In my opinion, these earpods are a bigger improvement to its predecessor. The sound is more rich and pays just a tad more attention the mids. I wouldn't say these are the best earpods money can buy you, but they're a great everyday tool. And I must say, these are extremely durable, I accidentally left them in my pants after a jog and they went through the washer and dryer, they still work perfectly with no problems. They're actually cleaner now, haha.

    Disappointed

    • Written by from Cincinnati

I find it very irritating that these headphones are uncomfortable and fall out frequently. I'm a skier and I really like to tune everything out when I'm on the slopes. I thought to try these out one day, but found that they couldn't even comfortably fit in my ears. I was also irritated because I could hear my surroundings as I was skiing. I am completely appalled by Apple's efforts and do not recommend buying their headphone products because they all have disappointed me.

Took these from my Wife ;-)

    • Written by

My wife upgraded her iPhone 4 to the 5c and these came in the packaging. Being an android guy (Nexus 5 owner) and not having any good headphones to jam to some tunes at the gym I snuck these in my pocket one day and I must say they are the best sounding and most comfortable headphones I've ever used.

Great Quality and very crisp bass and sound. My wife let me keep these so I'll be purchasing me these when it comes time for a new pair! Good job apple!

    Worst Apple product this decade

    • Written by from Decatur

These new earphones are unbelievably uncomfortable. I can't wear them more than 10-15 min without an ear ache. The previous version were the best "cheap" earphones out there, and these just don't fit at all for me. They don't sound awful, but when you can't wear them for more than very short term what is the point!

    Awesome sound

    • Written by from harare

For this size and price I don't think there is a better sound on the market. Across the whole spectrum from jazz to classic right through to rap and pop. Apple did their homework here. You won't be disappointed . Only let down only works with apple products.

    Bang for your buck

    • Written by from CARSON

For $30, this is worth it. This is better than the standard head phone that come with the iPhones. This is more stable in your ear versus the standard iPhone ear piece. Perfect for driving. If the car windows are down you may have difficulty hearing a phone call. I haven't tried using it while running.

    Washer-Proof

    • Written by from Harmony

I have owned a pair of these EarPods for quite a while now, and I must say that I am impressed with the durability of them. Besides surviving day-to-day use, my EarPods have been through TWO washer and dryer cycles; despite that, they still work perfectly. There is no sound quality difference, and the volume control/mic still works flawlessly. Thank you, Apple for designing these to be washer-proof!

Definitely do not fit ears of all sizes

    • Written by from Burlington

Sound quality is great, mic is great, one problem: they are too big to fit in my ears.... which not only makes them extremely uncomfortable but makes them impossible to use because every time I move they fall out.

    Great Sound, Bad Build Quality

    • Written by from Rolling Meadows

I love these headphones for listening to music except the build quality just absolutely awful. I am now going onto my 4th pair of earpods because of the cheap build quality. The fact though that i have gone through 3 pairs of these and i am going onto my 4th i think apple should pay for this next pair for me

    Love These!

    • Written by from Newmarket

I got these with my new iPhone and LOVE them! They were a nice surprise. They fit comfortably. I normally have a lot of problems with ear buds, these ones are great. The sound quality really impressed me as well, they sound excellent. Normally I never end up using the ear buds that come with apple products but these ones are excellent. So glad apple did this!

Wow--so much better than the old ones

    • Written by from Peshtigo

The old earbuds did not fit my ear canals at all and were painful after a few minutes of wear. These EarPods are a 100% improvement. They are SO COMFORTABLE and stay put in my ears. The sound quality is also excellent. Thank-you!

    Apple Earpods

    • Written by from Melbourne

While these earpods sound better than the previous ones, the bass of the music protrudes into the inner ear causing my ears to ache. I mean the quality of the earpods are definitely of high quality, but my ears did not benefit from the new shape. I have been having earaches and had to stop listening to my ipod because my ears were screaming. Tried adjusting the volume but if it is turned down too low you cannot hear the music but only the bass instruments.

    Too Big

    • Written by from Cross Lanes

I must have really small ears. They won't stay in because they don't go in my ear far enough. Wish they came in a smaller size because the sound is really good.
