    They keep breaking!!!!

    • Written by from Lowell

I have used apple headphones for years!!!! I decided to try these new earphones!!!! I've had to buy 2 pairs in the last 6 months. First the aux jack bended on me and now the remote won't work... Really??? The old apple headphones used to not fit in ear well and they used to kill my ear. Now these fit in my ear but keep breaking. I'm seriously considering buying some Dr. Dre's instead. I'm not happy with this product at all <<< Save your money and buy something better...

    Disappointing

These ear pods came with my iPhone 5. I find them to be absent any treble. Sounds muffled. I prefer the previous version.

    Thumbs down for me.

    Well done, Apple.

    • Written by from Bucyrus

I bought these Earpods to remedy the uncomfortable design and average sound quality of my Apple earbuds I received with my iPhone.
    1) The design is ingenious. The Earpods fit the ear much better and direct the sound where it should go. The vents work wonders for the bass, and I have noticed significant difference when holding them closed in a curious test I did recently. The ControlTalk module is a huge improvement, and now I know which button I'm pressing and I can feel it click.
    2) Sound is very nice- comparable to certain celebrity-endorsed headphones relevant to the letter b, but without the noise-cancellation, so I can walk around town still able to hear traffic.
    3) Durability is great. I dunno what got into some of the other reviewers, but I live in hot hot Texas or cold Ohio, I have used them when exercising (better for lifting than running, they're secure but not that secure), and a couple days ago, I unknowingly put them through both the washer and dryer. No damage detectable from heat/chill, sweat, or water.

    How bout them Apples?

    Great Sound, But ...

    • Written by from Whitefish

These ear phones deliver some very good sound, no doubt about that. But, they are NOT ergonomically designed. They are advertised as being optimized to fit the ear, but not mine. They do not stay in place and are easily dislodged by minor movements, necessitating frequent adjustments and reinsertions. The microphone is very good, and has a non-linear pickup that tends to emphasize your voice over background sounds. You'll still get background interference, but the mic delivers a good voice quality on the other end. For the price they are a good deal, but unless you have the shape of ear for which these things were designed, you may be disappointed with the fit.

Two pairs of earphone not working

    • Written by from Whanagrei

These are the second pair of these earphones I have bought, first pair came with iPod nano for xmas 2012 and second pair came with another iPod nano a month or so ago. (One bought for my mum). Both of these earphone sets the sound has been out in the right ear upon first opening them. The first earphones came right by themselves after a few uses but the second pair still aren't working. I figured maybe they could of just been from the same bad batch or something but considering they were purchased a good 6 months apart, I thought that may have been unlikely.

    Absolutely Terrible!

    • Written by from London

I bought these earpods expecting an improvement in sound quality over their predecessors. I have only had them for 6 months and they have stopped working. The music will just stop yet the song will continue to play on my Ipod. I tried out my other earbuds only to find that the sound quality was exactly the same and that the music actually played without interuption. I am extremely upset that they have stopped working and would not recommend this product to anyone. Don't waste your money.

    great sound, break really easily

    • Written by from GLEN FORREST

I have had my iPod for 6 months now. The EarPods are brilliant! I take great care of them everyday, but, after 2 months they stopped working in one ear!! So, I nicked my mother's EarPods that came with her iPhone 5, and they stopped working in one ear after 1 month!!! So I took both broken sets back and Apple happily replaced them. Now, after a further month, my EarPods STOPPED WORKING IN ONE EAR AGAIN!! There is obviously a factory fault, so although they have FANTASTIC sound they are not worth the time I am unhappy to report :( very disappointed.

    My Earholes Hurt

    • Written by from Winter Park

These were supposedly designed to fit the ear perfectly, then why does it feel like my ears have been stretched out by ron jeremy? I can't leave these in for more than 20-30 minutes without being really uncomfortable. I wouldn't purchase. Two stars only because they sound decent. Otherwise it would be 1 star

Worst earphones I've seen so far

    • Written by from Tallinn

These are simply the worst earphones I've used so far - almost no bass at all, mid freqs are cut, high freqs are more or less ok, but no clarity and a huge waste of money.

It's such a shame Apple supplies them with iPhone - the device capable of producing a very good sound...

Perfect earbuds in a perfect prize

    • Written by from Coto Laurel

    Hi Apple and Apple users,

When I owned the 5th gen. ipod Nano, it came with the previous Apple Earphones. I used these earphones and the comfort was great, but when it comes time the rubber that goes around the ear piece peeled off, they irritates my ears. But these Apple Ear Pods do the contrary of these issues. They are comfort, excellent sound, comparing the previous one, and lightweight, because you can't noticed is they sill in your ears when you're running or excercising. If the rate can let me give more than five stars, I give the double,10. Excellent job, Apple and Steve Jobs will be proud because of this success.

    THE BEST EARBUS EVER OWNED

    • Written by from Feedinghills

I got these today and I'm absolutely amazed on the sound quality. The bass is awesome, very nice clear sound. For apple to think of the shape is crazy, it fits perfect in any ear, the feel, sound, and look amazing. I would like to see try Samsung to make earbuds like these, maybe you would be able to turn up the volume by moving your hand upward or something, lol. But once again Apple has created something that every loves wahoo go team apple.

    One word... amazing!

    • Written by from Livermore

Even though these earpods look like something out of a sci-fi movie, they work amazing. I don't understand how these earphones have any reviews under 4 stars, they stay in my ears 100 times better than the old earphones and they sound 1,000 times better than the old ones too!

    Nano is happy!

    • Written by from Oakland

My Nano, so old they don't even make em anymore, is as thrilled as I am by the new earpods! I've never gotten such great sound out of a device before. Forget the 7dollar, or even 20dollar, earphones from Walgreens, only Apple knows how to make them! I am grateful.

    Great Headphones, With exceptions

    • Written by from Edmonton

These are great headphones for the price tag. One of the main issues that I believe people have with them, is that they put them in wrong. After I had figured out how to properly place them in my ear, I lose the acoustic leakage, and they become great little gadgets. Granted, some things are not always good for everybody, I find them quite delicate and have broken the wires in mine already(about 4-5 months). If you are willing to learn how they are supposed to go in your ear, then you will be impressed with the sound quality.

    Great Sound but problems

    • Written by

These headphones are great. They have way better sound then prev headphones. The remote works great. But, about 2 weeks after I got them my Jack developed a short. So my left earbud is the only one that's working.

It'd be great if they worked...

    • Written by from Omaha

I personally really like the sound of the headphones. It has a nice, deep bass and an overall good quality. I thought this about my first pair. And my second. And third. And fourth.

Please don't think I continued to spend money on multiple pairs. The first pair came with my ipod (obviously) at Christmas. After those stopped working (I don't remember how long those lasted), I bought a second pair, thinking it was worth the money and it was just a rare error. Then those broke. I sent them in to Apple and got a replacement pair. Then those died. A few weeks ago, my mom gave me hers that she didn't use. Those also just failed.

The issue I have had is that the left earbud's volume drops to maybe a third of the volume if the right side. This has happened to literally all of them. I don't know why it has happened and I refuse to believe it has been because of coincidence that they all broke like that. I am quite frustrated by this issue.

Unless it is just me, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THESE!
