    Is the only adapter that works with old car factory 30 Pins

    The cord did not allowed me to listen to my music on the car, this adapter does, had to cut my Candyshell Specks case. Hopefully the case manufactures correct their designs.

    Love it!

    Much sturdier than I expected when connecting my iPhone 5 to my main speaker.
    Apparently one just needs to invest in the right case. I have had zero issues with my Incase Pro Snap case connecting to any of my speakers, dock connectors, etc.
    Unfortunate that people give the device poor reviews as a result of user error.

    Worthless!!!!

    Bought this nifty $30 adaptor for my Mercedes iphone/pod/pad AUX hookup so I can listen to my music. Well ,it wont allow me to change songs, see play lists etc. I have to select a song then plug it in, then unplug it to make any changes. Come on apple little help here!!!!! Unless I'm doing something wrong, it's a major FAIL!!!!!

    If you want to be sure if it fit your case ...

    Got a Incase Pro Snap Case and there no problem using the adapter.

    The adapter has the same tickness as the metal edge of the iPhone. Wide it start over the second small hole near the audio jack, and end 5 holes from the end on the other side of the jack. Is your case left this space uncovered, the adapter should fit. Guess it will help :-)

    Great dock convertor

    I used this to convert my JBL on stage iphone dock from 30 pin to lightning for my iphone5. The dock works exactly as it did before and the attachment to the phone is so firm I dont need to worry about the phone balancing.

    Works a treat

    Pity its not a little shorter

    Disappointed, can't use

    I am very disappointed with this product. I knew there might be an issue with it working with various accessories. I have a Sony Dream machine that I have used with my iPhone 3gs and was very excited when this adapter finally came in. It works fine with the radio, however, it won't work with my iPhone with a case. I have a very minimalist case and don't want to take it off every night. I like to charge my phone overnight but still have it near me. Does anyone know if I can return this to the store even though I ordered it online? Thanks

    Works as advertised

    Small and compact enough to stick in your wallet. The width of your 30-pin to USB cable. Easy to lose. Over-priced. Necessary if you have the iPhone 5 and need to connect to devices like docks and such. Did I mention over-priced?

    Works Great / Can Finally Use My Dock Again!!!

    This adapter is very nice and easy to use. Just plug and plug. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap, it feels sturdy... as with all of Apple's products. Also, it's really small. Smaller than I thought it would be. I'm currently using it with my iPhone 5 and a Sony stereo/clock dock. The sound sounds PERFECT! There's no off-balance, it's in full stereo, and the buttons and the remote for the dock communicate perfectly with my iPhone. There's no lag - as if there's a connector involved.

    The only downside is that the adapter makes my iPhone stand higher than it should in the dock, but that's a small price to pay for use of the dock again.

    DO NOT BUY THIS if you want it to work with Apple's HDTV 30-pin cable!

    I bought this adapter at Target thinking I could attach it to my 30-pin to HDTV cord, but noooo... what a stupid idea to think it would work with other Apple connectors! Silly me. Only after I got the rather shocking "This device not recognized" error message did I angrily log onto the Apple's website to complain, but only then learned it DOESN'T CONNECT WITH VIDEO. WHY the heck not??? Shouldn't Apple adapters be compatible with Apple connectors?? Lack of video support should at least be put on the packaging somewhere. Arrrggh!!

    iTrip 2005 FM transmitter compatibility problem

    For some reason the iPhone 5 is not charging using the iTrip FM transmitter 2005 model. The sounds go through but not the power...40$ in the hole.

    This connector saved my new car's radio!

    I bought a new 2012 car with iPhone connectivity (phone and full music control) thru the car radio & steering wheel controls and when I got my iPhone 5 I thought I was out of luck; but with this beautiful connector the iPhone 5 now works perfectly with my car.

    Handy, but also annoying.

    I purchased this to use with my old iPhone 4S cords. I thought that it was a great idea until I realized what an annoyance the shape was. Because it is so wide and the lightning plug so small, I can't use the cord with my phone when I have my phone case on it! the extra width doesn't fit into the spot at the bottom of the case that is provided to let the cord in. Wish Apple had of thought of this when they manufactured it. Would have been easy enough to taper the end.

    Works with Ringke Case and iHome iA-100 dock

    This little adapter (tinier than I expected) works well with the Ringke Slim case (which is very thin and doesn't cover the iPhone loudspeakers).
    I'm using it with my iHome iA-100 audio dock, which I bought previously for my 4S.
    The adapter works very well for all functions: charging, audio, and the clock/radio controls with the iSet App.
    Obviously with the adapter the iPhone isn't anymore in contact with the dock, and is strangely perched; also the white color of the adapter feels odd between the black of the iPhone and the black of the dock.

    Product works great

    Of course there are gonna be folks who just want to complain and go out of their way to say something negative about this product and all I have to say is don't listen to them OK.This product clearly said it did not stream video if you would've read that before you ordered it OK. For the price of $29.99 I am perfectly happy with it and it snaps on the end of my existing 30 pin adapter and it is tiny so it hardly takes up any space in my compartment in my 2012 cC300 Mercedes and I have no complaints .For some folks like me all I need is the adapter because I have the existing harness that connects to the car already .

    Gets The Job Done

    I guess I'm glad I have the adapter for when I'm in a pinch. However, it will not work with any phone that has a case which many people have pointed out. I did find that it works if you have a silicon case that can flex around it or a snap on case that does not surround the ports at all.

    Lightening plug too short to work with cases

    The part that plugs into the iPhone is too short. If your iPhone is in a case, the case has to be removed in order for the Lightening part to plug into the phone. Very poor design!

    Not Compatible with Sony RDPX200iP Speaker Dock

    I cannot get the adapter to pass sound from an iPad mini or iPhone 5 to the Sony RDPX200iP speaker dock. The dock charges the iPhone/iPad, but sound will not play from the dock's speakers.

    this is not acceptable , I have a app radio and with the previous iphone 4s was working my maps perfect thru the radio ... I bought this adapter but It doesn't show up you tube and video ....worst!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Works with iSimple

    Expensive little adapter? Yes, but no stars lost for that.

    I have an iSimple vehicle setup for playing music from my iPhone. The adapter is small, and has a good snug fit without being overly snug (the 30pin part). Music plays through the stereo and charges my iPhone too. I'm pleased.
