    Worst charger of all time

I've had my phone for less than 4 months and I've gone through 10 of these. My ear buds volume broke too. These new accessories for the 5 are garbage. Why did I get this phone? All the chargers are made with plastic that separates from the wires and the fragile wires break under any pressure. Please apple, fix these horrible things.

I have had my ipod 5 for about 6 months and today when I was in desperate need of a charge, my charger decided to stop working. This is a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. Apple please go back to the old charger because this charger is a cheap piece of rubber and copper that is extremely infuriating.

charger and adapter for iphone 5 garbage

when is this issue going to be fixed? I am about ready to get rid of this phone. All the hype and the battery dies 2 times a day and the charger doesn't last. I am on my 4th one and now have the adapter after 2 weeks guess what it doesn't work either. The charger still does and charges my ipod.
should be no stars... I got this because my friends with the Iphone 4S had none of these issues and still don't. I told them all not to upgrade until this is fixed.

I decided to buy my children apple products for Christmas. Since then, I have replaced their lightning chargers 8 times now. The chargers are terrible. Knock off chargers are worse. I refuse to buy any more chargers and their ipads are worthless. Apple you have greatly disappointed me.

These cables are absolute garbage. They are prone to excessive breaking while (clearly) they are not too cheap to buy. You make them $5 or $10 and I'll shut my mouth. Until then, fix the gosh darn issues. Only rated it a star because I had to in order to submit (it deserves none).

Stops working after a few weeks of being in my car. I've been through three of these and apple wont replace them because they claim they where water damaged but they have never seen water it must be the moisture in the air but if the moisture in the air can corrode this cable and render it unusable well then there is obviously a problem

Like other recent apple chargers this one wears very quickly. I haven't had it for a year (as the phone and thus charger hasn't been around too long) and it's already wearing down. It started becoming difficult to charge within a couple of months. I eventually had to begin placing my phone at weird angles in order for it to charge and then it stopped working despite my best efforts. Both my mother and I have had to buy new ones because of this problem. Apple should create a charger that lasts as long as the phone.

    Charging problems

I love my iPhone 5. Hands down, best phone I have ever owned. The only thing that I cannot stand about the phone itself is the charging cable. Yeah the USB 3 is all great and it charges at a ridiculously fast rate. BUT being that I have only had my phone for six months, I would have expected better quality from the charger itself. Here is why.

The length is a tad short. But I can live with it.
With the new adapter, the charger was bound to have issues. the only way that my phone can charge now is if the chord is bent a certain way. Not only does it need to be bent sharply downward, but the kink in the chord appears to be on the verge of causing electrical vulnerability and potentially create a dangerous situation.

I will be ordering a new chord, but only to the fact that I hope that I do not have the same experience with this last chord. Should I experience it, I will be looking at other options for charging my iPhone.

Absolutely terrible quality. You would think that this $20 Apple product would last long or at least be more durable.

This cable is cheap. I had my IPhone 5 for 6 months and the cord stopped working. Best part? Apple doesn't replace these cables under warranty because it is considered damage to the device. How? I use my cable the same way I used my 30-pin and I never had any issue. They really need to fix this issue I can't spend 20 every 6 months

Jams easily in USB plugs where everything else works

The apple lightning cord gets jammed in USB sockets much more easily than other USB plugs. (I bought it directly from apple, I never abused it, and this problem started when the cord was new). If you compare them carefully, the size is slightly different from other USB plugs. I'm not sure why such an expensive cord would have such amateurish problems.

I have an Iphone 5 and i must be on my 5th charger already. I find at the end where you plug your phone is bends so easily and then is not usable. I find the phone4 charger is much more sturdy and not as breakable. i have no other option then to use this charger or buy the adapter. i am not happy with apple on this product.

I've literally been through a half dozen of these since getting an iPod touch 5 and the newest iPod nano this past fall.

The lightening connector keeps getting...sort of corroded, I guess. Apparently there's a reason USB doesn't expose the physical connection on the outside. My USB cables by contrast, under the exact same conditions last YEARS. I've never actually had one go bad, yet these...these last weeks or months for me so far. I'll get occasional connect/disconnects at first, maybe it'll only work plugged in one direction. Then slowly (or quickly) it'll just stop working entirely.

If any other mobile OS handled podcasts decently I'd have to switch just because of these horrible cables. They need to use micro USB like everyone else, or heck, go back to the 30-pin connector which at least was a lot more reliable than this...

Not even half a year, and the lightning cord has shorted. I know iPhone 5 users that have been through THREE charger cords since the release of the phone!! Now I have to go buy a new one. Terrible.

Go back to a cord that works

Hey Apple, I left android phones because I was tired of stuff that did not work. Started with the iphone4 and I still have the original charger that is almost 3 years old. I have replaced 3 of these lightning cables since December because the solder breaks off inside the connector from very little stress. There needs to be a real solution brought to the table for this. We don't expect this kind of garbage from an apple product.
