    The cable made for break

    I'm really angry today , my usb cable broke again , last night I was suddenly ill and I decided, rather than calling ambulance in this time , I will make an appointment with my gp in early morning,
    putted my phone on charge, I found in the morning it's only 2% , tried to call my gp and the phone turn off , when I managed to charge the phone again and it's too late, I had to go emergency.
    The cable like new but inside broke , it's luck of quality . It's shame of apple after that long time they couldn't produce a quality charger!
    Finally I phoned apple customer care, they are happy to replace. But I'm not happy with it, I said send me a pair of UBS cable one as spare as one break I can use , because you don't know any time it could be break.
    Or sell the cable with under £5,,

    why apple sell it for £15, it even doesn't worth for £5.
    I want to say to apple ,, this cable doesn't cost to made more than £5 pound includes all cost as ready to sell, so why you sell it for £15, people use this cable use to charge iPhones not sumsung phones, make customer happy by supplying accessories with minimum price , this way apple can be more popular. People already paid a lot with main device. What else you want? Touch the sky ! But don't forget you might fall down to ground at any time. Also don't forget the past!

    Best advice guys don't trust it, always keep a spare cable ..

    iPad and iPhone 5 charger cable are pieces of junk!!

    I have 2 iPads less than a month old and both charging cables just stopped working. There's no damage to the cables at all whatsoever they just stop working. These are poorly made and not worth anything! Apple should reimburse customers with a real cable because this one isn't worth the materials they used to make them! They are a rip off!!

    Horrible

    I have had the apple iphone 5 for 5 months now and have bought Atleast 5 chargers. I am careful and try not to bend them. But they still end up breaking. I use it for maybe a month (or less). Then I will plug it In one day and it will say "this accessory may not be supported on this device" after that, I can charge it. But only at like 3 different angles. And then one day, it will completly stop working. I have always been happy with apples products but these USB cables are the worst product I have seen. Such poor work for such an amazing company.
    If they keep this up for the iPhone 6, I may not even get the iPhone 6.
    But we will see what happens when they make the new USB cable for the iPhone 6. Very poor work, apple.

    Epic Fail! Non standard cable that does not last

    My son is on his 3rd one of these since Christmas (about 8 months ago). He usually takes good care of his electronics especially his iPad. The lightning end soon frays and shorts and then charges unreliably. Apple needs to fix or reinforce this design. I hope Apple isn't seriously planning to start using these as Headphone connectors as the rumors say. That would be a disaster. I still have the 30 pin connector from my first iPod and it still works beautifully.

    Stopped working after 11 months

    I only used this cable for 11 months before it stopped working. Yes, I was extremely careful with it. The price does not suit the quality of the cable. Apple needs to make their cables more long-lasting and durable.

    2 Years and 10 no longer functioning Lightning Cables

    These cords are not durable. A simple twist renders it useless. I love my phone and this cord is necessary, but by the time I've ready to upgrade my phone I will have paid for it twice with the cost of the cables.

    All my old 30 pin cords still work.

    Apple improve your quality on this item please.

    Third Cable in 6 Months

    The cable is horrible. A few bends here and there and it stops working. Now I can't even figure out which angle it works at because it is totally spoiled. PLEASE, I expect better work from APPLE. I want to get my money's worth. No point paying for an expensive phone when the quality of its charger is so inferior.

    I like the lightning cable concept, but the wire and strain device is garbage. It is either poor materials or poorly designed. If you are going to use non standard cables and connectors, make them better not worse than micro USB...

    Like everyone else, I think this cable is poorly designed at the lightning connector end. One accidental kink or pull on the cord and the wires are screwed. From then on it will be "guess which angle will work" until it just stops altogether. Currently, I have to wedge it against something at a 90 degree angle and hope that it doesn't move. If you travel with this thing, put it in a hard case by itself because it doesn't handle getting jostled about very well.

    I'll contrast this with the old 30-pin connector which has lasted years of travel, being shoved in bags of other equipment and mashed around a great deal. I think there are two problems: 1) the old connector would usually disconnect if too much force were applied on the cord, preventing the wires from inadvertently breaking. You really have to apply some force to the new connector to disconnect it, which opens the door for accidents. 2) the old connector was wider, so easier to grab at the sides without accidentally bending the cord. The new connector is so thin you have to be very careful where you're grabbing it and which angle you're pulling to maintain the integrity of the cord.

    After reading all these reviews, I might just get a bunch of cheap third-party knockoffs that are a fraction of the Apple price. Sad that this has to be a budgeting factor.

    We As Consumers Are Forced to Buy these and Waste Our Money

    The phone is great but we spend more on these cables a month than we do on gas...thats CRAZY! Especially being a company like Apple, you guys should sell top quality products that last longer than a month. Cable starts to bend and wont charge anymore. I feel like Im doing origami with the cable just to get it charging again...Very disappointed. If Apple doesn't fix this we should all just switch to Androids. I FEEL APPLE DID THIS AS A MARKETING TOOL JUST TO SELL MORE PRODUCTS!

    Been through 4 cables in 9 months

    I'm now having to dish out yet another $30 for a (apple wouldn't let me publish the word here) product that doesn't work for more than three months if you're lucky at usual wear and tear. The next phone I get will be a Samsung.

    Worst Cable Ever

    This is the worst cable design ever. The cable is so fragile it's unbelievable that Apple would release such a shoddy piece of work. I've gone through 5 of these since having the iPhone 5. The only redeeming quality is the fact that it's reversible.

    Fix your cables Apple. Seriously.

    I will be replacing my cable for perhaps the fifth time in just over a year. The cable is used minimally and well cared for and still they die one by one. Trust me they aren't on the battlefield or being used as jump rope- it's used on my bedside table and charges while I am asleep.

    While travelling last week I had to bring spare cables just in case one or more stopped working.

    The previous cables were a pain to plug in but they seemed to last longer than a month...

    Worst design

    I've gone through three of these since October 2013. With my iPhone 4, I used the same cable for three years. With any other phone I've ever owned (MicroUSB), I've only had to replace a cable ONCE. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Charging cables

    I have bought 6 cables for charging my daughters 5c's. The initial problem was they just kept breaking. Now since I upgraded their software the two chargers I bought from Fred Meyers at the same time off of the same shelf one works just fine and the other one keeps giving me an error and not supported by this device. What is going on? Getting extremely frustrated

    Most fray at the lightning connector end. Normal wear and tear, not due to overuse.

    Unbearable

    Multiple cables broken for both iPhone and nano. 7 in total so far. Hope this is dealt with before iPhone 6 launches. Can't justify spending over 600 euro on a phone when your can't rely on the charger to power it up! 0 star rating

    Since my iPhone 5s arrived in November i have been through 3 cables costing a total of £30 extra ( as one came with the phone) and now another one is on its way out!!! this is awful. i would rate as 0 if i could.
