    Worst Apple product ever

    I really love my iPhone 5 and my iPad 4th generation, and they do charge faster than the old 3G/4S iphones, but the quality of this cable is terrible! All 3 cables for my iphone, iPad, and my daughter's iphone broke with just moderate use in a very short amount of time...within a month or so. For two of them, the wires became exposed by the lightning end, and for the third one, it looks like it shorted out, as it looks slightly brown (burned?) at the end. Not only that, but 2 other "Apple certified" brands of lightning cables that I've purchased have also had the wires exposed and stopped working. I'm trying another brand now but hoping for better results. It's so frustrating that am seriously considering jumping to the Android ship...just because of stupid, inferior cables! Apple, fix this cable situation or you will pay for it in lost customers!

    WOULD RATE ZERO STARS IF OPTION

    I lost count of how many times I replaced the cable itself, I'm currently on my 3rd USB cube... this could have been the data / charging cable of the future (reversible plug, quick charge time), but its poor quality and remarkable failure rate will only hold it back!

    ANNOYING CABLE !

    I'm gonna switch to Android ! This is just plain out stupid how I have to keep re buying cables for my Iphone. I love my Iphone but it's not worth having to spend this much money on it.. Fix the cable problem or you'll just lose more customers .. bye apple.

    Poor quality

    The quality of these cables is extremely poor, especially when considering the substantial price charged for them. Three cables have gone bad in less than one year. One of them burned and melted the insulation by the Lightning connector.

    About to be on my 3rd cord in 1 year

    This cord is the absolute worst. Within one year I am about to be on my 3rd cable and will not be purchasing this one. The same thing has happened where the cord wires become exposed and stop working. This is a huge problem, as I thought that buying the cord from apple would be the best quality but obviously that is not the case.

    On my third cable in 1 and 1/2 years

    I never had to replace my cable with the iPhone 4. And I had it for 2 years. This time around, not so much! The first 2 broke in the same manner. The plastic on the cord breaks, exposing the wires, right at the lightening adapter. Eventually, wires start tearing off and shorting out. For a while it still works, but it has to be in a certain position to keep charging, otherwise, it goes in and out, and vibrates every time you move it. I did have it taped up for a while, but that did not last long. Eventually it will stop working. The first time, I had to make a mad dash to the store before it closed that night because it is my only phone and only cord! Hoping this will be my last cable purchase before an upgrade, and with that upgrade comes a better cable! So frustrating!

    One-year warranty!

    I don't really have a review here, but I see all these people saying they've spent a bunch of money buying new cables after only a few months. Apple products may be fragile, but the one good thing is that they come with a 1-year warranty. I go through earphones every few months, but I just show up at the Apple Store and they gladly give me a new pair with very little hassle (sometimes they like you to have made a Genius Bar reservation, but it's not a big deal). Since the purchase record is accessible on your account, it's easy to check whether it's still under warranty.

    HORRIBLE!

    I think I am going to end up broke with these chargers. I am currently on my fifth one and the only reason it's working is because I'm holding it together with electrical tape. It's crazy how cheap these cables are made but we have to pay 20 dollars for it. Apple needs to read all these comments and fix this problem asap.

    Dreadful Cable

    I have an iPhone 5 and my daughter an iTouch both use lightning cables. Both have stopped working. Why of Why Apple do you make such poor accessories. We pay all this money and it's the little things that let you down. I am now having to buy 2 more cables from a different manufacturer due to the poor standard of your chargers. Your phones etc are brilliant but not having anything to charge them with is a disgrace.

    3 Lightning Cables Failed

    I have three cables. Each one has failed one way or another.

    Cable one: The Bedside Cable. The cable fell apart. The rubber coating broke which exposed the wires. I only used this cable at night and it never moved from the nightstand. It completely stopped working shortly after wires were exposed.

    Cable two: The Kitchen Cable. Just stopped working; no sign of damage.

    Cable three: The Car Charger. The Lightning tip touched a little snow this Winter and now it will only charged when plugged in a certain way.

    My previous Android phones used the micro USB and those things were like little tanks and I never had a single problem with one (except one that was really poor quality). This is not the quality I expect from Apple.

    Worst

    Best phone in the world with worst charging cable.
    Selling out a high price phone with such a short duration working charging cable. Why apple?
    Read the reviews and not a single review in favour of it.
    Expensive charging cable doesn't mean bad quality just with a good brand image.
    Please make good charging cable from iPhone 6 onwards.

    useless cable

    I take good care of my things. Even my $10 headphones last longer than the lightning cable. Why is it so hard for you to make a good one. In less than a year, I have to change 3 times for the cable itself. Such a lousy product with an expensive price. Not worth it. Your product is getting nastier phones by phones.

    Disappointed

    I'm really disappointed by the charger, I've gone through 3 in the past year and I don't expect to have to keep buying replacement chargers having spent a whole lot of money on my iPad after saving up for over a year by doing extra (hard) work. The price of the charger is way too high, I would have thought it would be acceptable if the charger was of a higher quality. I look after my chargers carefully always pulling it out by the base and not the wire but it repeatedly breaks. What frustrates me further more is if Apple isn't going to improve the charger or reduce the price which I really can't afford is that the non Apple chargers (which are of a much higher quality and a fraction of the price) are t allowed to be used.
    Last time my charger broke I had to go for 4 weeks without using my iPad which is a real inconvenience as much of my school work is saved on it. This is real disappointment Apple.

    Breaks

    These chargers break all the time and just stop charger, it's a manufacturing defualt and either apple fixes this or gives me a free new one every time mine break because I'm tired of buying new ones.

    This product is very disappointing. We have three I phone in the house and this cable has been replaced six times in one year.
    It stops charging phone, poor quality shame on a company that makes so many other good products.

    I hate these chargers

    I have had the iPhone 5 for about a year now and I have had 7 chargers and the one I currently have is starting to need to be maneuvered in different ways for it to work which happened to all my past chargers before they broke. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! I am not the only one who has had this problem my brother also has an iPhone 5 and he has had the same charger problems! Apple needs to fix these chargers and figure out why they keep breaking!!!!
