    Perfect but pricey.

    I don't give 5 stars because of the price. Other than the price, it is the best due to its compactness, functionality, and reliability.

    Good product

    Pleased that the power adapter is no available at a lower price without a cable. I need the lightening for some devices. I like the 12W adapter too and suggest that one as it charges more quickly and the prongs fold. Convenient to carry with you.

    i was very disappointed to learn that the charger does not include a cable.
    what am i supposed to do with a charger and no cable?
    a charger and cable i have a phone charger-no cable i got nothin'.

    I have several of these and wouldn't dream of being without them. They work just fine and are so handy to travel with as well as using when you are on your computer.

    Apple USB power adapter

    I have three of these for my iPhone, iPhone 4, iPad mini; all of them have worked just fine. One of them gave up the ghost when it had coffee spilled on/into it. Obviously, it was not the item's fault! My experience with Apple products has been that they are all first rate. I have a iMac desktop, too. My two sons have iPhones 4 and iPads--all are great products.

    Great Design and Great Product

    Of course the design is beautiful because it is from Apple. Also it works perfectly fine and actually charges faster than some of my other chargers for some reason. This is just a great accessory for any Apple product besides the iPad :(. Thank You Apple.

    Charges only 50% of the time

    I keep my iPad Mini charging when at home. It only works half of the time, and it is less than 2 months old.

    USB Power Adapter

    I bought this product when it included a docking cable. I use it all the time for charging and running my iPod Touch while watching videos, or overnight music streaming. There may be other USB power adapters available that would work with an iPod, but I feel I'm protecting the investment in my iPods (I have multiple) by using a genuine Apple adapter.

    Does not come with a cable

    The fact that a cable does not come with the charger should be made explicit on the product page. It does not do that.

    For all the people who are yelling and screaming about how people should read the product page more carefully, this is like buying a car and it not coming with a key and then yelling at people for not seeing a picture of a key on the product page. Ridiculous. Every charger I ever bought in my life came with a cable.

    Apple: Easy fix. Instead of warning us about the fixed prong, make it clear cable is sold separately.

    crapped out after two uses.

    This is the charger received with my Ipad mini. It worked for one charge, then it worked with a HDMI adapter but it no longer charges at all. This is a major problem.

    Quite disappointed

    I've only had my iPhone 5 for a month (or less) and the charger is not working anymore. The lightning cable is also "broken" already. I tried to connect it to my Mac and other computers and unfortunately my iPhone doesn't charge. :( And obviously the wall doesn't work ._. apple store here I come. >_< I hope they give me a replacement

    5W does the job, but the 12W does it better

    This adaptor does the job if you are just charging the iPhone.

    But the 12W charges the iPhone faster, is compatible with more devices (iPad), is cheaper and has the option to handle international Apple socket adaptors if you travel. Spend your money on the 12W.
