Cannot imagine any criticism of this cover. I have had it for over a year and it totally protects my iPad. It's the ultimate smart cover. Thanks APPLE.

the case is ok... nothing more.

it looks good, but offers little protection.

the front cover is fiddly to open, as the edge of the screen cover doesnt quite reach the edge of the main body cover.

there seems to be ever so slightly too big for the latest generation ipad (lightning dock retina display) particularly on the seem edge, the folding cover offers poor viewing angles when in "typing" position, and unstable when in "movie" position.

The Camera cut out isnt centred around the camera aperture, slightly too low - it doesnt obstruct the camera, but im picky!

the cut out for the dock is clearly with the old 30pin connector too... if you want a snug fit and a "made for" look... look elsewhere

I HAVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!! IT IS HORRIBLE, IT DOESN'T FIT CORRECTLY, EVERYTHING THAT THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS STATE ARE CORRECT... Too many to name!!!
IT DOES NOT FIT iPad 4 properly!!! MAGNET not strong enough to keep case closed, and what I hate the worst is when standing it up to face time its not secure (mine falls) so i just hold it like i didnt have a case... & the angle when typing( very low) is maybe 5-10 degree angle.. Basically FLAT.
IN SHORT, DON'T BUY!!!!! It's not worth 50$ and I will be RETURNING MINE TODAY!!!!! And buying something from eBay for a fraction of the price

I bought the red PU case and my IPAD w/ retina display fits perfectly in it. The case box includes simple, illustrated instructions on how to seat the IPAD on the smart case. Make sure that the corners of the smart case fold over the corners of the IPad. If the IPad moves in the case, then it is not properly seated.

I got the iPad 4th gen for Christmas this year and spent a while deciding if I wanted the Cover or the Case. I chose the Case. I got the Light Grey first, from my local Target store, and the fit was terrible. The iPad slid around in the case and it drove me crazy. Needless to say I returned it the next day. Later that week I was in Walmart and saw the Product Red version, which is odd to see in stores. I decided to try it since I thought the black iPad would look great in it. I'm glad I bought it! It's great, the fit is perfect. I don't know what was wrong with the light grey one but I'm glad I got the red one.

It seems some cases fit better on the iPad 3 and 4 than others, why I do not know. All I can say is if you have an iPad 3 or 4 and the case does not fit well try a different color, it might fit correctly, it did for me! As for the iPad 2, the case will be loose because the iPad 2 is 0.02 inches thinner for the people who didn't know. Hope this helps people deciding on buying this! :)

I have received this Smart Case (I am the owner of several Smart Cover) as a gift for my iPad 3rd Gen. I started using it in August 2011 and it is already "flumsy" nearly cracking. I do not recommend this product at all. It is loose on both the iPad2 as well as on my iPad 3rd Gen. Poor quality and extremely disappointing durability. Not worth the price we paid for this.

I bought the dark gray version the day it came out and used it for my brand new 3rd gen iPad. I was immediately disappointed because it seemed too big on the iPad and it slid around in the case. Also after a few months it started to fall apart and as a result damaged my iPad BUT....I took it in and apple was great about making an exchange. I got the red one and it literally seems like apple fixed the size issue because it fits the iPad nice and snug. Great but after a few months started to fall apart.

Overall the case is slim and compact and i LOVE the apple logo on the back. Also the smart capability is very cool and the folding stand is nice.

Fits like a glove and wraps your iPad in your favorite color. It's worth the money

It was awesome and good it is hard to open but later it gets better. Also if u get red u help aids in Africa which is good so get this case. I love it I gots it from Christmas and it is awesome. . But I love the case so make more cases apple I love them.

Got this for Christmas and it fits my iPad perfectly. The red is nice and bright. People that said it looked a little orange. It doesn't at all. This is the case to buy.
