    Does what it's supposed to do.

    I don't quite understand all the complaining. I mean, yes, the connector unplugs easily, and maybe the build quality has been better in my iPod USB Power Adapter some years ago... but the design is fine, the unit is silent, and yes, you can carry your computer around without worrying that it may disconnect.
    Except, well, except you trip over it. Of course.
    I like everything about the charger.

    I am not sure what product others are complaining about. Just got an rMBP and the MagSafe 2 works exactly as advertised. I give it a solid 4 stars --- the one remaining star is because its design should also include USB. Surely this thing can handle the MacBook and an iPhone or iPad at the same time.

    I received my MacBook Pro with Retina Display a couple of weeks ago, and the charging adapter works well. It comes out if my dog runs across it, or I step on it. Which is exactly what it is made to do. I can have it sit on my lap for a couple hours straight and it won't fall out. I move around quite a bit as well. It falls out occasionally, but no big deal. I'm guessing many people received faulty pieces. Which is very common if you buy a product when it first comes out. If you have problems with the new design, buy an adapter. Although mine works exactly the way it is supposed to.

    Give back the L shape.

    The cord gets very bended when powersupply is on the right side.

    I find the magnet to be just as strong as my previous MagSafe charger.

    I'm not crazy about the T-design. I appreciate that it's better for cases where the cable gets yanked (detaches when you want it to, to save your laptop from taking a tumble).

    But I loved how the L-design sat flush with the side of the machine. It was a little weird for Cinema Displays where some plugs were T and the power plug was L, but for the standalone charger the L-design was just wonderful.
