Works good, but Why must Apple feel the need to change to a differend power adaptor? Such a waste! Buy several, they are small and in time will get lost.

This works just fine so long as it is attached, but it falls off easily. I recommend taping it to your power adapter

I purchased a MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display along with a Thunderbolt Display, The Thunderbolt Display requires this converter and one was included (good), Recently, I detached my MacBook Pro, and on return, found the converter missing. After a thorough check of my office floor, I can only assume it stayed on the MacBook and then got bumped off. $10 later (bad), I have another but I feel like I had to pay for a poor design. Besides, the T-bolt Display should have had the RIGHT CONNECTOR in the first place! It works, but 2 stars is the best I can give it.

Not reliable enough; might become very hot.

    - The adapter detaches easily

    - It regularly doesn't work at all after connecting, which requires one or more reconnects.

    - Some times the LED stays green after connecting, so the laptop has power but it doesn't charge.

    - Every now and then it even stops working during charging (the LED light fades to extremely dim)

    - When it works, the adapter becomes often times alarmingly hot.

I tried multiple adapters, all the same.

OK, but what about the other way around?

I have this, but what about one for the other way around?

I need the same thing, but going from MSafe2 to MS1 instead – otherwise I'll still have to buy all new MS2 power adaptors (with these adaptors) to replace my existing MS1 ones, as I need to be able to use my old and new machines in various places I have adaptors plugged-in.

Please Apple, sort this out for once.
