    Great design...Poor quality

    polyurethane material makes it feel cheap

    Interior or case full microfiber is a plus

    great functionality

    worth $50.....? NO!

    Apple needs to reasonably price their accessories.

    Works well, but...

    The case looks good and works well. The Smart cover function is very nifty. However, I thought it would make the iPad easier to hold. This is not the case. There is a sharp seam that runs around the entire case. This digs into your hands when you're holding it. And while the smart case folds up and makes a great stand, it's just left flapping there when you're trying to hold it. I will probably use this only when I take the iPad out of the house. However, while it is easy to put on, it is difficult to take off.

    Good case, some negatives.

    Good case, does what it's supposed to do. Love that it has magnets, it keeps the cover on properly, doesn't allow things to enter and damage your screen. I carry my iPad with me everywhere and have a ton of things in my bag. I've had this smart cover for 2 months, and the only negative things I can say is: 1) this colour gets really dirty, and the dirt vs clean spots are easy to spot 2) the cover is a little hard to open but not a big issue 3) not compatible with the apple dock (huge disappointment) I have to take it out of the smart cover to use the dock and this can be annoying

    Nice Product!

    Advantages
    1. Provides adequate all-around scratch protection
    2. Magnetic lock/unlock is cool
    3. Color looks great, goes well with white iPad
    4. Does not hinder buttons/switch as some cases do
    5. Folding cover is nice for typing documents or viewing videos
    6. Wacom Stylus matches in color and clips onto cover fairly easily
    Disadvantages
    1. Price
    2. Inadequate shock protection
    3. Edges are a little sharp
    4. Not compatible with dock

    Good product but no perfect.

    The Smart Case in green is a good product in general lines. It made what the product have to do and the ipad is safe inside the covert.

    The problem, at least for me, is the color, is too "shine" but the rest is great. I prefer other colors because the actual options colors dont like me too much.

    I regret buying this thing. Annoying flaps, you can't really use it as a stand as it just has two positions, (portrait or landscape). And it's expensive for what it is...

    The material used is very pleasant, but again, very limited as an iPad cover/stand.

    There are much better 3rd party covers out there.

    Apple should just do what they do best: hardware...

    Protects without being too bulky

    I purchased this when I purchased my new iPad knowing from previous experience that it does no good to invest in an iPad without having something to protect it against everyday handling. This case pleasantly surprised me. It wipes clean and has a nice gentle lining that won't scratch the iPad itself. It has a nice grip during handling.The sleep/wake feature is fun and handy. The sound is not distorted when listening to movies or music though the speaker. I would recommend this if you are the type who doesn't manhandle their technology. If you have an active job, it would help to have the extra padding of a sleeve too.

    A high quality piece perfectly engineered for the iPad

    Have NO idea what case some of the other reviews are referring to, but my Smart case, purchased online 6 weeks ago;
    1) is well magnetized and definitely sticks to itself. It folds beautifully into a useful triangle that not only sticks together very well but makes a stand and also a handy holding handle when used in portrait mode;
    2) when closed sticks to itself very well and does NOT flop open when turned upside down.
    In fact you have to learn how to "squeeze" it open from a bottom corner it holds so well.
    3) I appreciate the moulded circumference lip as it provides a useful impact absorbing point which will certainly help in the event I drop the iPad (please......no!!)
    4) everything about this item supports the Apple quality image: well designed, well made, and beautifully presented in the same high quality manner as the iPad.

    And no, I do not work for Apple! I do recognize quality when I see it however.

    Great iPad Case!

    I Love this iPad smart case! its amazing. it feels soft, yet durable. and does the same thing a smart cover does. This is my 3rd smart case i have bought. i love them! They fit the new iPad better than the iPad 2, which is lose in the case. i would highly recommend this case for the new iPad.

    Not as good as I hoped it to be.

    This product does not fit the iPad snuggly, the holes are not cut well contrary to some reviews I read and seen.

    Because it has a soft hinge, the triangle support doesn't feel as sturdy as the regular smart cover. When folded back to hand hold like a note book, or note pad, it feels extremely uncomfortable since the cover moves around much more than the standard smart cover.

    I have the smart cover for the iPad 2. And now I ordered a different product all together to replace this lacking example of a iPad case.
    The edge of the case also feels cheap and causes it to be annoying to hold the iPad. I wish I can donate this case to someone who wants it, but I wouldn't do this to anyone, I'll just destroy it and throw it out so no one else has to suffer from this terrible case.

    What I do like about it is the soft lining in the case. 1 star for suede/felt like lining.

    A little long

    Case itself is great. Awesome color, useful features, and quality material. The only downside is the iPad 2 often moves up and down within the case. Personally it doesn't bug me but if you like things to be precise maybe this isn't the case for you.

    I love the case. but first of all it does't fit the dock.. and it feels like the case is too big or kind of loose. It looks like the iPad is too small for the case. It ok though. but there are better cases out there...

    Not very sturdy

    I purchased this cover as I wanted something sleek and stylish and non bulky. Purchased in late May of 2012 (this year!). Have had to glue fabric to vinyl along the edges 3 times, and now the magnetic bar that holds the cover to the iPad itself has lost its pins so I can no longer use the cover. I am going to purchase some watch pins to try to fix it myself, but honestly, after only 3 months of use it should still be like new - not falling apart. I do not recommend this product for these reasons. I love the concept but the quality is horrid! Also, the self stand is very flimsy also. Would not leave it standing alone as it falls over unless holding on to it. Sad it isn't what I had hoped. Please don't waste your money.

    Great coverage but a little frustrating

    I got this case in green and it looks great! It does seem to fit a little big on the new iPad as the edges seem to always pop out. One thing I cannot stand is how dirty the front cover gets and although it seems like you can just wipe it clean it does seem to stain. This is just from simple handling and not any dirty hands holding it. Because it does not seem to fit right I am looking into getting a different case, I thought that going straight to apple and paying top dollar I would get a top notch product but this is not the case.

    Does what it's meant to do

    I love Apple, but they are beginning to miss the details:

    1. not compatible with Apple's dock... really? I mean no one at Apple thought about this? $30 dock now useless, unless of course you want to take the cover off every time you dock...

    2. don't waste your time on engraving - so small it can't be read

    3. cover does not fold the same as the magnetic cover - isn't as useful

    Love this case!

    I got this case for my ipad for christmas. i was a little skeptical at first because of all the bad reviews, but i am very happy with this product! it covers my ipad really well and i love the magnetic front! it is really good for everyday use, and works really well when trying to stand the ipad up! The colors are all really pretty too! I feel this is much more protective then just the one that covers only the front of the screen, i would definitely recommend this one over that one. overall, i love the product and would say if you are questioning it, definitely go with it!
