    ipad smart case

    i just received my ipad case today.....at first i was kinda worried ahead of time cuz i have the latest ipad which is the one with retina display...no worries anymore, IT FITS PERFECT TO A T WITH THE IPAD 4 OR IPAD W/ RETINA DISPLAY! OMG, LOOOOOOVE IT! i ordered it in the pink, super cute with my white ipad, the bad thing about it, i also had apple do an engraving for me putting my name alongside ipad, its very small, does anyone know if i could take my cover back in for them to enlarge the print or is that it?

    Almost perfect...

    I love this case!! It slips on quickly and really protects your iPad. The only design flaw is when you've got the cover folded up to use as a "stand" it's not as stable as it could be and tips over easily. Especially in bed. Also, it would be nice if there were a few options in the angle or degree that the cover holds the iPad. I'm being very nitpicky though. All in all, a very well-designed and useful accessory. Definitely worth the extra money to purchase the case, not the cover. The cover does not adequately protect your iPad the way the case does.

    Apple, please produce more colors and design options. Thanks!!! You keep making, I'll keep buying. Everyone is happy. :)~

    What I have been waiting for.

    I wasn't too fond of the first iPad smart case because it didn't cover the back of my iPad 2 but, this case however is everything I ever wanted in an iPad case and cute at the same time. I love the fact that it has the apple logo on the back of it as well! Apple ALWAYS amazes me with the quality of their product. Love my pink iPad case!

    The Perfect Case - For Home Use!

    I absolutely love this case on my new iPad retina display. It's slim, functional and sleek, while still keeping the slim feel of the iPad. I have an otter box on my iPhone, for extra protection against my clumsiness and for fear of dropping it. I thought about purchasing a stronger case for my iPad, but I am so glad that I did not because this case is perfect for my uses.

    Cleaning the pink case

    I really like the pink case. I purchased it because of the pretty color but was soon disappointed due to how easily and fast it got dirty. The pink was no longer bright. I called customer service to voice my complaint. The Apple employee was very helpful. She suggested using an alcohol wipe to remove the stains. I was skeptical but it worked! I no longer felt that my money was a waste.

    Disappointed...

    I loved this case when I first got it but it didn't take long for me to realize that if you basically have your iPad in your hands ALL THE TIME, this case quickly becomes a source of aggravation.

    This case works most of the time for me but often stays open just a tiny bit, often catching on the corners of the back part of the case, or not flattening out all the way. That tiny bit is just enough for it not to work, or rather is just enough so that it doesn't turn off my iPad and the iPad will time itself out, wasting valuable battery time. It happens so often now, now that the case has softened a bit with use, that it really gets aggravating.

    Also, as much as I love pink, this case just won't stay the pretty pink it was when it first arrived. It's taken on more of a "Pepto" hue and I'm really tired of all the scrubbing!

    Overall, I'm very disappointed that Apple is selling such a flimsy product for such a high price. It's just NOT worth it. I'm going to look for something that has a cover that's much more ridged than this, in BLACK!

    Finally! Apple makes a smart case, not just cover!!

    This is what I've been waiting for! I was so bummed because apple didn't used to make a case like they did with ipad1, which is necessary because the back can easily get scratches. This case is the most lightweight front and back cover that I've found on the market, and i've compared so many of them. The material is super soft and the price is comparable to other brands. I actually had a gorgeous leather case before i switched to this one, but it was unstable (would fall A LOT in standing position (like a computer monitor, not like the keyboard stand position) and had to be secured with a rubberlike band when on the move or it would constantly lock and unlock the ipad - so annoying) absolutely love the pink version of this case. Wish there is a jet black or a darker red though, the red is too vibrant in my opinion...

    love this case

    I got the 3rd generation iPad and this case for my birthday and I love it. This case keeps my iPad light weight compared to other cases I have and still keeps it well protected. My iPad goes to school with me everyday and because of that, the light color did get somewhat dirty but that was expected. My only complaint is I wish they would make this case in purple :)

    Olnly one question is it easy to keep clean from finger prints/smutches? any one has the answer?

    I am very very happy with my purchase. Pink smart case fits my iPad 2 very good and quality is amazing. My iPad is fully protected (screen and back side). That is why I preferred smart case instead of smart cover. I also like this pink color. It is not super bright and not pale, the best color for girls :) I totally recommend this case!!

    I just received the iPad smart case a few days ago and I love it! It doesn't add a lot of bulk and the colors are great! I think the Apple logo on the back of it is great too! I love the function of the Smart Cover but with the added protection of a case. I would recommend it to anyone!

    I love my iPad. It's the 4th generation, with retina display. When it comes to my electronics, I'm very careful about how I treat them. I just went out, & bought the iPad smart case, & I love it! I have a pink one.

    Wish I never bought this!

    I LOVE my iPad 3, but I can't stand this case. It protects my iPad, but the stand only works on a hard surface. I also have problems when I'm trying to read because it constantly feels like my iPad is going to fall out. I've never had an issue with an Apple product before so this surprised me!

    Just got mine today and it works GREAT!! The feel is outstanding and finally the sleep function works. My old leather cover, which looks really nice, the magnets were not strong enough to put the pad to sleep. The grey color is ok, but a Black and a clear version is needed. Soon as Apple make one for the IPAD MINI, I will buy a IPAD MINI.
    I have the Grey and not the pink.......

    Just got the iPad 4th generation and got this case for it and it fits perfectly...I had a bit of trouble getting it on but that is a good thing, that means that it is not going to just slip off! I love the pink color, the fit, and everything about it! I actually got it from a local store that priced matched apples one day Black Friday sale. So at $38 it was a steal!!! I highly recommend this product, just remember it is s bit hard to get on!

    Junk, absolute junk, DON'T BUY THIS!!

    I don't know where these other reviews are coming from but after 30 minutes of trying for wedge my Ipad into the case I gave up. This is the most poorly designed, poorly executed Apple product I have ever purchaced. If I bought some offbrand case I wouldn't be so harsh but I spent $50 in the Apple store and now I have to trudge back there to take it back.

    Making a case that fits the products you sell shouldn't be so hard and annoying a customer shouldn't be so easy.

    Clean up your act Apple.

    Not Perfect

    I find that it is rather uncomfortable holding the iPad with the case on and it digs into your fingers. The stand feature, which was the main reason I bought this case, is not that great. It is good for typing but that is all. I thought that it would be more adjustable. Not a terrible case, but there is ALOT of room for improvement.
