Reviews for iPad Smart Case - Polyurethane - Dark Gray

I find this cover to be awesome! Recently purchased an iPad 3 and received the case a couple of days later... What a huge difference in how to hold & protect my device!
I've only had it a few days, but love it.
I am really struggling to figure out all of the negative reviews. I wonder if those folks have properly seated their iPad into the cover? This is my first iPad, so I'm not sure if the diameter is different on the other generations?
All of the outer buttons line up perfectly with the holes in the cover... As they should!
Some reviews said that the "cover" is kind of hard to open if you don't have fingernails to lift the edge. That one I can somewhat understand, but I have done some "testing" & have found that if you slide the pad of your finger underneath the corner it actually lifts quite easily. I really think it is a matter of finessing it if you don't have fingernails.
I would recommend this cover for the iPad 3, because that's what I have. Again, not sure what the dimensions are for older/newer versions. Find it hard to believe that there are so many issues with this case from the negative reviewers:)

upon the release of the iPad 2 and its fixes of the iPad 1's kinks, I thought it would make the perfect computer for my mother, and it just so happened to be coming out on her birthday, so I bought her one and a few accessories to go along with it, among them, the smart cover, something I felt was essential. But she was looking for a bid more protection and bought an ugly traveling-size sleeve for it because with the smart cover you cannot have a regular case as well. The Smart Case solved this problem and knocks the cheap knockoffs out of the water. DO NOT buy one of those iLuv or whatever magnetic cases for ~$20, get the real deal, you'll thank me later. ;)

This is a great product! It keeps the ipad protected and slim! It's perfect!!!

This is a great case. The dark grey gives the black iPad a sleek, clean look. The "hinge" is fine, doesn't prohibit proper closing of the case. The outer lip does add some length and width the the screen, but its hardly noticeable. The cut outs are perfect and the speaker cutouts actually amplify the sound. A little pricy, but worth it for quality. Overall a solid case and cover.

I love the iPad 2 smart case cover. It protects the whole iPad within a clean and soft way. None other than the less of the new iPad cover.

It was compatible, a little bit difficult to position, and very modern looking. It was a nice secure case that didn't pop out and was well secure. I believe of all colors this is the best because of its rich-looking style. Love the grey!⚫

I don't understand the complaints that I've read about this cover (not fitting, cover popping off, having to realign the hinge). I've had absolutely no issues whatsoever with the cover that I purchased for my iPad 2. As far as the angle for typing being too low I guess that's all a matter of preference but if you work with it you can find a different angle that may suit you better. No complaints from me. I think this cover is great!

This product is defiantly worthy of the Apple logo! It seemingly will protect your device under medium wear and use. It fits snug, and feels sturdy.

Well to be honest I was pleasantly surprised with the smart case. Fits my new 4th gen great. I had the otterbox defender on my 1st gen and it was bulky but offered great protection, but I thought how many times did I actually drop it? Prob twice in 2 years from 3 ft tops. So I decided to try this out due to the thinness of it and it has been great. I keep seeing post of unfinished edges cutting off hands and the cover ripping off finger nails while trying to open (sarcasm). People will complain about everything. Facts: if you carry your ipad around all day and you have the risk of dropping on concrete then yes this case prob isn't for you, but if you are looking for a sleek, thin, decently priced case for average use buy it.

I bought this case for my iPad 2, and it works great. I like how well it moulds around the iPad, and it doesn't add any additional bulk that would impede my ability to hold it with two hands and type. Now that I have an iPad Mini, I would love it if Apple released a smart case for it. The smart cover just doesn't give the iPad enough protection, and it's over priced at $39 just to cover the display.
