I really like this case. Fits great and protects the iPad well yet still maintains the slim profile.

I just bought this case a couple of days ago and thus far have been happy with it. It's nice having a simple one piece case which protects the iPad without adding a lot of bulk. Good for carrying an iPad in a back pack or other bag. I like the dark gray color and the texture for gripping the iPad. Unlike other reviews, I find the fit reasonable and have no trouble opening the magnetic lid (note: I have iPad gen 3). I have not yet tried to remove the case and put it back on since the iPad is very functional staying in the case at all times. The only drawback I have found thus far are the slightly "sharp" edges (similar to original iPad case from Apple) but I understand that part of the functionality of the edge is to add stiffness without requiring that the entire case be stiff.

The case fits well and provides good protection, but the edges are actually quite sharp and make the case uncomfortable to hold.

I had mixed feelings about buying this case based upon some of the previous negative reviews. I have a 3rd gen iPad, so I don't know if it makes any difference in how the device fits in the case. I had a smart cover, but found it was always opening accidentally. I have experienced NONE of the problems aforementioned by others. The case is slim fitting, so it doesn't detract from the sleekness of the iPad. The cover stays closed tightly and folds in the same way the smart cover does. Just be mindful that the case is not shock absorbent. So if you drop it on a hard surface, you're likely to incur damage.

This case is amazing. I read so many reviews prior to, and even AFTER, purchasing this case. Most of them were the most nit picky things I'd ever come across. The case fits perfectly with an iPad 3. The rubber feel to the back is awesome to hold in your hands, it makes you feel like it will never fall out. The smart cover, as a stand, works flawlessly. I read on one review that the edges were too sharp… please. The magnetic cover part is very easy to open. The only good thing that I read about this case was the lining. And they nailed that. The lining of the case is very soft and will keep your iPad scratch free on the top and the bottom.

VERY SATISFIED, don't be fooled by "Reviewers" trying to gain some web traffic or youtube plays by calling an Apple product sub-par.

Owned both case/covers and the smart case is so amazing this is my first online review. I work as a big four auditor and travel about thirty weeks a year and this case is a game changer. Does not fall off and is sleek thin and easy to use. Finally a case I can travel with and use. Thank you Apple

The color wasn't my first choice, but after buying the light gray one and owning it for an hour I started to foresee how dirty and screwed up it'd get. However, this dark gray one is amazing and looks even better in person than in the pictures. Also, it's not going to get marked up as easilly or noticeably from normal wear and tear. The functionality is perfect, the strength and durability seem really good as well, and it's comfortable to hold in your hands. Also, I have found it very versatile, with tons of different ways to prop it up at different angles--at least more than the pictures describe. I have a 30-degree-or-so angle that I'm loving right now. All in all, I love everything about the case except for the price. But I can still see the amount of designing that went in to making this great product, so I can't get too mad (though it'd be better if made in USA). I have seen the others: my partner has a leather In-case case and it's nowhere near as stylish, comfortable to hold, or people friendly, if you ask me.

Don't know what people are complaining about . I got the pink one and my ipad3 fits in there snuggly... It's not moving around at all. It does what I need it to do...protect the iPad and it looks stylish as well!

I bought this dark gray smart case for business travel. It fits the IPad 2 like a glove. To those who have stated that it doesn't fit properly, I would say it is not applied correctly. It needs to be stretched over the corners like a tupperware lid, but snaps into place quite securely. It offers more protection than the plastic back covers. I also like that the cover is not held on by a magnet that can get bumped off easily. I own the aforementioned plastic back cover in conjunction with the magnetically attached smart cover. I can only cite 2 minor disadvantages of the smart case: 1) you cannot take the cover off and use it to wipe your screen.2) you need to use your fingernail to pry the cover open. I can live with both of those and wouldn't hesitate to buy another smart case.

This is a great case for anyone who wants protection for their ipad without covering the nice design of the ipad or the additional bulk or heaviness of most cases. When I first bought the ipad I also purchased the smart cover which I found to be a nice cover for the ipad screen but the back of the ipad felt had no protection and I often felt it might slip out of my hands and fall. The smart cover has a nice texture, good grip and soft feel. it is also light weight, does not cover the nice design layout of the ipad and very easy to clean (I accidently got makeup on it and was able to clean it off using a cool cloth wet with mild soap. It didn't leave any wet stains or smudge marks either. It looked like new!). The only reason why I gave this case four stars is because at the time of my purchase I also ordered the ipad dock and I asked the representative if the ipad will fit on the dock with the smart case on. He told me yes, which is not true. Each time I want to place my ipad on the dock I have to remove the cover. I've noticed that some people have complained about the case not fitting the ipad snuggly. No worries there, it won't fall out because it takes a bit of lifting, pushing and tugging to get it out. And because I have to go through this each time I need to place it on the dock is why I give four stars. However, this lets me know that my ipad is secure and I am very pleased with my new case. I love the color too! I would definitely recommend it to others!
