    No no no no no! Don't buy this!

    This cover is horrible! I've had my iPad for over a year, never dropped it once...(had a different cover). I have had this cover for 2 weeks...dropped it 4 times..and when it drops there is no protection as the cover is still in your hand and your iPad is on the floor. The magnet is not half strong enough. I guess it does what it is supposed to if you are buying it as a stand and and to put the iPad to sleep when closed....BUT DO NOT BUY THIS FOR PROTECTION! Especially do not buy if you have children that ever touch your iPad! I've taken mine off for now until I get a new one...maybe I'll try the smart case. I think nothing on my iPad is better than this cover.

    I think it's ok but it doesn't stay on well it looks nice but it isn't the best movie viewing stand as it claims but also the part where the magnets connect to ipad. Scratched the metal finish on my new ipad 4 so it's kinda cool I guess but be careful

    Bad product

    I am surprised that company like apple sells these type of cases ( i bought a smart cover case). It is annoying to deal with , it doesnt hold the ipad , it constantly falls and seems to be pretty useless for 45 dollars plus tax it is a waste of money

    With my smart cover on, I accidentally dropped my iPad straight on its face. I then proceeded to pick up my iPad to find the screen shattered. If you want protection, look else where.

    Really find that this was a waste of money. For my use, I find that it unsnapped every now and then (sometimes almost dropping the ipad). I ended up upgrading to a different case made by targus 2 months later. For $40, I think there are some MUCH better cases on the market that will provide better protection and will have better use.

    Cover does not offer enough protection so I had to buy a cover for the back.. This morning it slid off of the counter in the bathroom (it was low) and when it hit the ground the smart cover fell off. Now I am left with a cracked corner on my iPad. Very disappointed in apple. I will not be buying cases from them again.

    Terrible - bought 2 and neither worked

    Based on all the other reviews, there is a serious design flaw here. I bought 2 covers, one for myself and another for my niece. Neither would stay attached and both had to be returned.

    Better to have no cover at all

    If I could go back in time, I would not have purchased this product. The Smart Cover has left scratches on the side my iPad. I first thought it was just the way I handled my iPad, but when I started researching online about it, there have been numerous incidents of scratches being caused by using the Smart Cover. This product that was suppose to protect my $600 device actually damaged it. Apple needs to majorly redesign the Smart Cover.

    Don't Buy- Terrible Product

    I really should learn to read the reviews before buying something from Apple, instead of relying on hype. This cover falls off, disassembles when folded, unfolds when trying to use an application like "Night Sky", and is generally a pain in the rear.
    Apple has evidently not responded to the valid criticisms of other reviewers and that does not speak well for Apple. It should be redesigning the cover with stronger magnets and offering it free to those of us who have bought these decrepit ones.

    Terrible Product and is Dangerous for your iPad!

    I thought this case was going to work well for me. Boy, was I ever mistaken. It is dangerous to use this cover, unless you have a fetish for broken glass. Yes, it keeps it clean. Yes, the roll up feature is nice to use as a stand. And yes, the magnetic feature to switch the iPad on/off is cool. BUT YOU RISK DROPPING THE iPAD 24/7/365. Twice I have had the cover detach unexpectedly and I have had to pay for a new screen. That repair runs at least $200, and the iPad case is dented in 2 places. THIS PRODUCT IS TERRIBLE. DO NOT BUY IT!!

    Smart cover

    Being a huge Apple fan it is difficult to write something negative however I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased the smart cover. The magnetic connection is not nearly strong enough for me and the cover falls off when I pick it up, am holding it open, or reading in bed.

    I have i pad 1/2/3. And i Purchased 4 different covers so far.
    i had to buy another cover due to lack of protection it provides as a cover.
    I have had this thing over a year i think
    It is very thin, but it does not provide much protection
    Not only that i lay my ipad down try to read or watch video or something, it does not stay still, it keeps sliding.
    I would buy other covers except this particular design.
    I think i even paid for this cover almost 69dollars at that time.
    Very disappointed in this product

    My smart cover chipped the finish of my ipad 2. Now i can see the base metal of my ipad 2 at the link part of the smart cover and the ipad :(

    Totally dislike this Smart cover.When I try to flip mine to the back it doesn't stay on the iPad. I don't like this at all-Don't waste your money.

    Lock on Stand Doesn't work! Broken IPad

    When you use the stand for your Ipad, the groves do not securely lock your Ipad and our Ipad fell off the table and broke.

    Shocking Quality

    The less said about the cover the better, After a few months of usage I face the following issues:
    1. The magnetic catches have sctrched the ipad from where it sticks to it.
    2. The cover itself is a dust magnet and after a few months of usage there is more dust on the screen than outside as the inside of the cover accumulates the dust
    3. Dust Lines
    4. Mine is a blue polyurethane one and though the material is undamaged , the colour has faded of in patches and it looks like a blue cheetah skin.
    Consider your self warned

    The cover is always falling off and it does nothing to the back of the back so when I'm working at a desk it just keeps sliding and moving all over the place.
