Although impressive in appearance, my major disappointment with the smart cover is the lack of adequate protection. Other covers on the market provide greater variation in standing the ipad, more protection, and increased comfort for holding it. After a few months the cover soils and is no longer as beautiful anyway. Skip this product and find another.

I just about dropped my new iPad today when the cover shifted slightly in my hands and the magnets unlatched themselves right away. After playing with the cover a bit more I realized that this is not as good a cover as the first cover built for the iPad 1. Instead this style of cover lures the user into thinking you are doing the right thing to protect your iPad, but if you are a power type user with it you will find that this case gets in the way and you end up removing it when reading a book or cruising the internet.

I really liked my old iPad 1 folio style case and have searched the web to find a replacement like it. That style slide the iPad into a sleeve to hold it in place and had a nice cover to protect the screen. If i didn't get this one dirty right away i would be sending it back too

Its smart and good in all but it scratches the iPad on the side

The design is cool and innovative, but the side is starting to wear out and there are scuff marks on the place where it is put on

ood color stability and good quality, although it is overpriced (but what ipad cover isnt overpriced??)
It is a little difficult to open, dont cut your fingernails all the way down!. Also, for some reason the cover does not seem to bend back as the original cover does for elevated viewing.
In any case, it is a nice case, good quality, apple style. I bought the green and it is a vivid, alive almost lime green. but the blue was too pastel, too baby blue.

This baby has a very strong magnet. No joke. I fold it to watch my videos, to talk to my mom on Skype and it protects my iPad from scratches. No suck-up here. I thought I was gonna get a plastic screen front cover for more protection but then I change my mind: this smart cover is enough.
Avoid two to one star false comments from people who don't take care of their cover. You need to hold both, not the cover. Jeez.

I just Love this cover ... it works perfect as a stand too and takes up no extra room

I chose the polyurethane Smart Cover because i only had $40 left after buying my Bluetooth headphones,and i wanted the green one because it brings out the color of my eyes.I also found a case that works well with it,love the auto lock feature and it protects my screen,i can also use it as a stand when using the iPad's built in camera

ITS ADOREABLE AND WORKS FOR VERY LONG I HAVE THE GREEN COVER BUT THE ONLY BAD THING IS THAT IT FETS REALLY DIRTY AND IS SORT OF HARD TO WASH OFF SO I CONSIDER BUYING THE LEATHER! STLL REAL GOOD AND CUTE!

THe smart cover is great for home use, but the downfalls are as follows: The magnet that sticks to your iPad can be easily removed if you shift the smart cover at the wrong angle, it gets very dirty so i suggest the leather one, by folding it up and letting it support your iPad comes with two angles, each of which is either too low or too steep, I suggest something that will protect your iPad more if you are a traveler, but for at home use its sleek and cute.
